Description

A BOARD GAME APPARATUS AND METHOD OF PLAYING THEREOF
FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates generally to a board game apparatus and method of playing, and more particularly, to a game of the type which combines the of game board having an outer track having a plurality of spaces on which players can move their game pieces and the area inside the outer track having a plurality of a triangular configuration divided into a plurality of spaces on which player can move their numbered pieces.
BACKGOUND OF THE INVENTION
Board games from a very long time are a popular source of entertainment played by persons of all ages throughout the world. These games combine chance and skill in such a way that allows the game to be adapted and enjoyed by children as well as adults.
Research says that board games are great fun, but other than the fun part, playing board games have several other benefits as well. Playing board games brings various peoples of different age groups with different skills together. Players get an idea of competition and through a healthy competitive environment, they can also learn how to lose or win gracefully. These games teach important social skills as well such as communicating with others, negotiating, sharing, taking turns and enjoying with others. It fosters the ability to focus, lengthens attention span and makes an individual more patient and accepting. Board games secretly teaches many life skills such as establishing something of your own, adjusting with what you have, accepting that luck can change any moment for the better or for the worse. The message inherent in probably every board game is to “never give up”.
Despite the increased popularity of electronic video and computer games, board games which have been played for thousands of years in all parts of the world, remain a popular form of competitive amusement. Board games may be classified into several broad categories such as chess and checkers type of games that generally divide the game board into a series of squares, and game pieces are moved from square to square as dictated by the rules of the game without necessarily having to follow a particular pathway or route. There are board games which attempt to simulate or mimic a particular sport or activity such as baseball and football. There are also a wide variety of “pathway-type” board games wherein the game pieces are moved sequentially along a standardized play path, usually consisting of a sequence of blocks or spaces having at least a beginning space and an ending space, as in monopoly. Countless variations and combinations of such types of board games are known in the prior art, many of which employ some form of chance determining means, such as one or more die, a spinner having numerals thereon, or “chance” cards, for determining the movement of the game pieces.
For a board game to be interesting and remain popular, it should combine luck and skill so as to allow players of different skill levels to play at the same time without giving an unfair advantage to those of greater skills; allow players of the same skill level to play at the same time; and allow very skilled players to compete against other skilled players and to be able to devise and improve on game winning skills. Since board games may be played by a wide variation of ages, the game should be able to be played by children against adults and still give the child playing against the adult some chance of being able to win, while still keeping the game interesting for the adult and allowing the adult to use skill in playing the game.
While already available board games have fulfilled their respective, particular objectives and requirements but still there is a need of a game board apparatus and method of play that is complex enough to allow skilled players to find the game interesting and be able to strategize and compete against other skilled players and to devise a strategy to win; while combining luck and skill in the game so as to allow skilled and unskilled players to compete at the same time; while keeping the interest of the skilled players and still allowing luck to give the unskilled or younger players a possible chance at winning the game; and yet being simple enough to allow unskilled or very young players to play and enjoy the game.
