Abstract

The present invention relates to a system (1) for removing a user (U) who is included in e-mail correspondences wherein a plurality of persons are involved, from the related e-mail correspondence content voluntarily.

Description

A SYSTEM FOR ENABLING RECIPIENTS TO REMOVE THEMSELVES FROM AN ELECTRONIC MATT, CORRESPONDENCE
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a system for removing a user who is included in e-mail correspondences wherein a plurality of persons are involved, from the related e-mail correspondence content voluntarily.
Background of the Invention
With the development of technology, communication of users with other persons have attained a quick and practical form today. Users can communicate with each other over different communication channels with the development of technology; and communication via electronic mail -which is one of the most common communication channels- is preferred by a large part of society. Users can transmit electronic mail content to many persons simultaneously by means of communication established via electronic mail. Personal mail addresses of users can be saved to an e-mail group for any reason. Besides, users can voluntarily add their e-mail address to an electronic mail correspondence wherein a plurality of persons are included. It is possible too send e-mail to a plurality of persons simultaneously in messaging realized via e-mail. The related e-mail is automatically sent to everyone included in the recipient part of the related correspondence. And the number of this e-mail group wherein a plurality of persons are included may increase in time and since the number of e-mails received by the user will show an increase during the day, the user may be disturbed by be disturbed by this situation. It is under the initiative of other persons included in the group for a person -who participates in the e-mail group correspondence at his/her request- to leave the related group and it is quite difficult for the user to leave the related e-mail group. When the current technique is examined, solutions enabling to mute an e-mail group that the user wants to leave are encountered. However, even if the user mutes an e-mail group in existing solutions, e-mail being sent from the related e-mail group continue to accumulate in the user’s own e-mailbox.
Due to the above-mentioned reasons, there is need for a system for enabling recipients to remove themselves from an electronic mail correspondence which enables a user to leave an e-mail group voluntarily and when the user leaves the related e-mail group, ensures that the user’s e-mail address is deleted from the related e-mail group.
The United States patent document no. US7979495, an application in the state of the art, discloses a method for automatically removing a user from e-mail thread. The operation begins when an e-mail message is received at a user’s e-mail client. The user elects to opt-out of further communications on this e-mail thread. The user may indicate this election by clicking on an opt-out button in the user interface, or by a selection of a drop menu option, or a check box option, or the choice is implemented in a particular e-mail client. An opt-out message comprising a special header is automatically generated by selecting an opt-out option. The special header may be an X-Opt-Out SMTP header to signify that the sender’s e-mail address should be removed from further messages on this e-mail thread. The opt-out e-mail message is sent to all e-mail addresses on the To, CC and BCC lists of the opt-out message generated.
Summary of the Invention
An objective of the present invention is to realize a system for enabling recipients to remove themselves from an electronic mail correspondence which enables a user to leave an e-mail group voluntarily and when the user leaves the related e- mail group, ensures that the user’s e-mail address is deleted from the related e- mail group. Detailed Description of the Invention
“A System for Enabling Recipients to Remove Themselves from an Electronic Mail Correspondence” realized to fulfil the objective of the present invention is shown in the figure attached, in which:
Figure 1 is a schematic view of the inventive system for enabling recipients to remove themselves from an electronic mail correspondence.
The components illustrated in the figure are individually numbered, where the numbers refer to the following:
1. System
2. Electronic device
3. Application
4. E-mail service server
5. Removal server U. User
The inventive system (1) for enabling recipients to remove themselves from an electronic mail correspondence which enables a user (U) who is included in e- mail correspondences wherein a plurality of persons are involved to be removed from the related correspondence content voluntarily comprises: at least one electronic device (2) which is configured to establish connection with at least one communication network and to realize data exchange over the communication network; at least one application (3) which runs on the electronic device (2) and is configured to enable the user (U) to view e-mails incoming to his/her e- mail address; at least one e-mail service server (4) which is in communication with the application (3) and is configured to enable other persons to transmit e-mail from their e-mail addresses to the user’s (U) e-mail address; at least one removal server (5) which is in communication with the application (3) and is configured to control e-mail account information of the user (U) who is included in the e-mail service servers (4).
The electronic device (2) included in the inventive system (1) is a smart device such as mobile phone, tablet or computer configured to enable the user (U) to run the application (3).
The application (3) included in the inventive system (1) is configured to enable the user (U) to view e-mail content transmitted to his/her e-mail address; to reply, transmit, delete the e-mail content that s/he viewed or to transmit a reply to all recipients in the related e-mail content simultaneously, by means of an interface located on it. The application (3) is configured to enable the user (U) to be a member of an e-mail group wherein a plurality of persons are involved via his/her own e-mail address, by means of an interface located on it. The application (3) is configured to initiate transaction of removing the user’s (U) e-mail address from an e-mail content transmitted from an e-mail group, by means of a leave group button that is included in an interface located on it.
The e-mail service servers (4) included in the inventive system (1) enable operation of e-mail services belonging to different institutions, companies, firms and are configured to enable person who have an e-mail address in these e-mail services to transmit an e-mail content to the user’s (U) e-mail address. In addition, the e-mail service servers (4) are configured to transmit contents of an e-mail group created by persons who are included in the e-mail group wherein the user (U) is a member, to the user’s (U) e-mail address over the application (3).
The removal server (5) included in the inventive system (1) is configured to detect e-mail service servers (4) that are related to e-mail addresses of persons who are included in the related e-mail group, by communicating with the application (3) upon the user (U) activates the leave group button that is included in the interface on the application (3). The removal server (5) is configured to ensure that the user’s (U) e-mail address is removed from the recipients part in the related e-mail group, after detecting the e-mail service servers (4) that are related to e-mail addresses of persons who are included in the e-mail group wherein the user (U) is a member, by ensuring that e-mail address data of the user (U) included in the detected e-mail service servers (4) are deleted.
In the inventive system (1), the user (U) runs the application (3) by using the electronic device (2). The user (U) reads, replies or deletes e-mails transmitted to his/her own e-mail address by the application (3). In addition, the user (U) can view e-mail contents transmitted from the e-mail group wherein s/he is a member previously. Besides, when the user (U) activates the leave group button located on the application (3), a transaction that will enable him/her to leave the e-mail group wherein s/he is a member is initiated. Also, the application (3) communicates with the e-mail service servers (4) of e-mail services of different institutions. E-mail contents of persons who are included in an e-mail group wherein the user (U) is a member are transmitted from the e-mail service servers (4) to the application (3). The removal server (5) included in the system (1) detects e-mail service servers (4) which are related to e-mail addresses of persons who are included in the related e-mail group, by communicating with the application (3) after the user (U) activates the leave group button. Then, the removal server (5) ensures that e-mail address of the user (U) is removed from the recipients part of the related e-mail group, by ensuring that the user’s (U) e-mail address data included in the e-mail service servers (4) detected are deleted. Thereby, even if any of the persons included in the related group adds the user’s (U) e-mail address to the recipients part, the related e-mail content is not transmitted to the application (3). With the inventive system (1), a user (U) is enabled to leave an e-mail group voluntarily and when the user (U) leaves the related e-mail group, it is ensured to delete the user’s (U) e-mail address from the related e-mail group.
It is possible to develop various embodiments of the inventive system (1) for enabling recipients to remove themselves from an electronic mail correspondence; the invention cannot be limited to examples disclosed herein and it is essentially according to claims.
