Description

A FIXED-LINE NUMBER CALL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM AND METHOD BY A MOBILE APPLICATION
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a system and method for using calling capabilities of a fixed-line number that is defined in a mobile application over a mobile application in cases where there is no access to mobile voice network however there is access to mobile data network or wireless internet network by internet protocol multimedia subsystem network.
Background of the Invention
Today, applications that can be run on mobile devices such as smartphone, tablet computer have become diversified with the rapid development of technology. Users can carry out a wide variety of transactions that will facilitate their daily lives by means of applications on their mobile devices. The most preferred of these applications are VOIP (voice over internet protocol) applications which provide internet technologies for telephone calls whereby users can make voice and video call by internet protocol.
In the state of the art, calls incoming to a fixed-line number over a device wherein SIM card of a mobile number is inserted can be received by routing a fixed-line number to a mobile application by means of a call routing service over a network. However, it is not possible to make a call over a mobile device wherein SIM card of a fixed-line number is inserted in this method.
Therefore, considering the studies and the deficiencies in the state of the art, it is understood that there is need for a system which enables users to manage outgoing calls over a mobile device wherein their SIM card is inserted over a mobile application by their fixed-line number, and to manage calls in cases where there is no access to mobile voice network however there is access to mobile data network or wireless internet network as well.
The United States patent document no. US20130142065, an application in the state of the art, discloses a system for receiving users’ voice communication request from fixed-line or mobile network numbers incoming to their fixed-line phone number or mobile phone number upon the users are registered with their fixed-line phone number and mobile phone number over a mobile VoIP-based mobile application, and sending a voice communication request to their fixed-line or mobile network numbers over a fixed-line phone number or a mobile phone number, and providing another rich content management; and operation method of this system. The system in the said invention enables users to carry out fixed-line and mobile network communication transactions within a VoIP -based Fixed-Line Mobile Clustering application, and to manage other rich content data. In the said invention, it is enabled to route incoming or outgoing fixed-line telephone calls to a cellular phone or a smartphone by means of a network gateway for connecting PSTN and a similar fixed-line telephone network to a data connection network. Fixed-line telephone calls can be routed as a call or SMS request. Signalling and data transfer can be provided over a separate or shared server. One or multiple fixed-line telephone number connects/connect a fixed-line telephone network and a data network in a wireless or wired way; one or more mobile device can connect to the said fixed-line telephone numbers or network gateways. The system in the invention enables management of calls which are incoming from a PSTN network to a fixed-line telephone and transmitted to other telephone numbers over a fixed-line telephone number from a mobile device. A call over a PSTN or a call incoming from a fixed- line telephone network provider such as ADSL is converted into a VoIP format by means of a conversion method such as SIP, RTP over a voice gateway or network gateway and then it is transmitted to a Fixed-Line Mobile Clustering application over a data connection. Summary of the Invention
An objective of the present invention is to realize a system and method which is developed for the purpose of ensuring that calling capabilities of a fixed-line number identified in a mobile application by means of an application are utilized.
Detailed Description of the Invention
“A Fixed-Line Number Call Management System and Method by a Mobile Application” realized to fulfil the objective of the present invention is shown in the figures attached, in which:

Method for receiving calls incoming to a fixed-line number over a mobile application The inventive system (1) which is developed for the purpose of transmitting and receiving a call by means of a fixed-line number over a mobile application comprises: at least one mobile device (2) which receives mobile communication service from a mobile communication network; and is configured to run at least one application on it; at least one application (3) which is run on the mobile device (2); and configured to enable users to make voice call at least, and to enter information of at least one fixed-line number they own; at least one database (4) which is configured to record mobile number and fixed-line number information of users in it; and at least one server (5) which is in communication with the application (3) and the fixed-line network server (S); configured to receive a demand for using a fixed-line number transmitted over a communication channel on the application (3); to manage the database (4); to receive fixed-line number information of users entered over the application (3) upon being triggered by a demand for using a fixed-line number transmitted from a communication channel, on the application (3); to match a user’s mobile number that is identified to a SIM card located on the mobile device (2) with his/her fixed-line number and then to save the said match to the database (4) with a distinctive token about the user; when the user transmits a call request by his/her fixed-line number over the application (3), to transmit the said call request to the fixed-line network server (S); and in case of an incoming call to a user’s fixed-line number by means of the communication established with the fixed-line network server (S), to transmit this call to the application (3).
The mobile device (2) included in the inventive system (1) is configured to receive mobile communication service from a mobile communication network, and to run at least one application on it. In a preferred embodiment, the mobile device (2) is an electronic device such as mobile phone, smartphone, tablet computer configured to receive mobile communication service from a mobile communication network through methods included in the state of the art for example by means of a SIM card. The said mobile device (2) is configured to establish connection with the server (5) by using any communication protocol included in the state of the art, and to ensure that data exchange is realized between the application (3) and the server (5) over this connection established.
The application (3) included in the inventive system (1) is run on the mobile device
(2) and it is configured to enable users at least to receive and transmit voice call over internet protocol. The said application (3) is configured to realize data exchange with the server (5). In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the application (3) is configured to support a session initiation protocol (SIP) enabling a signal exchange that is used for voice and video call over internet protocol and a secure real-time transport protocol (SRTP) enabling security in real-time data transfer. The said application (3) is configured to realize data exchange with the server (5) by means of a session initiation protocol. The application (3) is configured to realize data exchange with the fixed-line network server (S) by means of a secure real-time transport protocol. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the application (3) is configured to provide an interface which is adapted such that it will enable a user to be registered by his/her mobile number that is identified in a SIM card located on the mobile device (2). The application (3) is configured to provide an interface which is adapted such that it will enable display of a notification message stating that a fixed-line number is identified. The application
(3) is configured to carry out authentication and register transaction by means of a session initiation protocol digest authentication method with a user mobile number. The application (3) is configured to provide an interface which is adapted such that it will enable display of calls incoming to a fixed-line number, in the form of a notification. The database (4) included in the inventive system (1) is managed by the server (5), and configured to record mobile number and fixed-line number information of users in it.
The server (5) included in the inventive system (1) is configured to establish communication with the mobile device (2) and the fixed-line network server (S) by using any remote communication protocol. The said server (5) is configured to establish communication with the mobile device (2) and the fixed-line network server (S) by means of a session initiation protocol. The said server (5) is configured to realize data record to the database (4), and to manage the database (4). The server (5) is configured to receive the fixed-line number and mobile number information transmitted by the user by means of the application (3) and then to match the fixed- line number and the mobile number, and to save the matched number information to the database (4) with a distinctive token about the user. The server (5) is configured to receive the matched number information kept in the database (4) upon being triggered by a demand for using the fixed-line number on the application (3). The server (5) is configured to receive a call request with a fixed-line number that is received over the application (3) by a session initiation protocol over an internet protocol and then to transmit the call request to the fixed-line network server (S). The server (5) is configured to receive a call request transmitted to a fixed-line number, from the fixed-line network server (S) and then to transmit it to the application (3).
The inventive method (100) for performing call transmission by a fixed-line number which is developed for the purpose of transmitting a call by means of a fixed-line number over a mobile application comprises steps of:

- transmitting a call request to the fixed-line network server (S) by a fixed- line number over the application (3) (104);
- upon the called number accepts the call, initiating sound transmission between the application (3) and the called number (105).
A method (200) for receiving calls incoming to a fixed-line number over a mobile application which is developed for the purpose of receiving calls incoming to a fixed-line number over a mobile application comprises steps of: registering to the application (3) by a mobile number that is identified in the SIM card on the mobile device (2) (201); receiving a call transmission request by a fixed-line number over the application (3) (202); receiving a fixed-line number from the fixed-line network server (S), and matching it with the mobile number that is identified on the application (3) (203); receiving a call request initiated towards a fixed-line number from the fixed- line network server (S), and sending notification to the application (3) (204); accepting a call over the application (3), and initiating sound transmission (205).
With the method for performing call transmission by a fixed-line number (100) and the method for receiving calls incoming to a fixed-line number over a mobile application (200), the inventive system (1) enables to utilize calling capabilities of a fixed-line number identified in a mobile application over a mobile application. Thereby, users can establish communication by their fixed-line numbers in cases where there is no access to mobile voice network however there is access to mobile data network or wireless internet network.
Within these basic concepts; it is possible to develop various embodiments of the inventive “Fixed-Line Number Call Management System (1) and Method (100) by a Mobile Application”; the invention cannot be limited to examples disclosed herein and it is essentially according to claims.

Claims

1. A system (1) for transmitting and receiving a call by means of a fixed-line number comprising: at least one mobile device (2) which receives mobile communication service from a mobile communication network; and is configured to run at least one application on it; at least one application (3) which is run on the mobile device (2); and configured to enable users to make voice call at least, and to enter information of at least one fixed-line number they own; at least one database (4) which is configured to record mobile number and fixed-line number information of users in it; and characterized by at least one server (5) which is in communication with the application (3) and the fixed-line network server (S); configured to receive a demand for using a fixed-line number transmitted over a communication channel on the application (3); to manage the database (4); to receive fixed-line number information of users entered over the application (3) upon being triggered by a demand for using a fixed-line number transmitted from a communication channel, on the application (3); to match a user’ s mobile number that is identified to a SIM card located on the mobile device (2) with his/her fixed-line number and then to save the said match to the database (4) with a distinctive token about the user; when the user transmits a call request by his/her fixed-line number over the application (3), to transmit the said call request to the fixed-line network server (S); and in case of an incoming call to a user’s fixed- line number by means of the communication established with the fixed-line network server (S), to transmit this call to the application

2. A system (1) according to Claim 1; characterized by the mobile device (2) which is configured to receive mobile communication service from a mobile communication network, and to run at least one application (3) on it.
3. A system (1) according to Claim 1 or 2; characterized by the mobile device (2) which is an electronic device such as mobile phone, smartphone, tablet computer configured to receive mobile communication service from a mobile communication network by means of a SIM card.

A system (1) according to any of the preceding claims; characterized by the mobile device (2) which is configured to establish connection with the server (5) by using any communication protocol, and to ensure that a data exchange is realized between the application (3) and the server (5) over this connection established.
5. A system (1) according to any of the preceding claims; characterized by the application (3) which is configured to realize data exchange with the server (5).

A system (1) according to any of the preceding claims; characterized by the application (3) which is configured to support a session initiation protocol enabling a signal exchange that is used for voice and video call over internet protocol and a secure real-time transport protocol enabling security in real-time data transfer.
7. A system (1) according to Claim 6; characterized by the application (3) which is configured to realize data exchange with the server (5) by means of a session initiation protocol.
8. A system (1) according to Claim 6 or 7; characterized by the application (3) which is configured to realize data exchange with the fixed-line network server (S) by means of a secure real-time transport protocol.
9. A system (1) according to any of the preceding claims; characterized by the application (3) which is configured to provide an interface adapted such that it will enable a user to be registered by his/her mobile number that is identified in a SIM card.
10. A system (1) according to any of the preceding claims; characterized by the application (3) which is configured to provide an interface adapted such that it will enable a user to be registered by his/her fixed-line number.
11. A system (1) according to any of the preceding claims; characterized by the application (3) which is configured to provide an interface adapted such that it will enable display of a notification message stating that a fixed-line number is identified.
12. A system (1) according to any of the preceding claims; characterized by the application (3) which is configured to carry out authentication and register transaction by means of a session initiation protocol digest authentication method with a user mobile number.
13. A system (1) according to any of the preceding claims; characterized by the application (3) which is configured to provide an interface adapted such that it will enable display of calls incoming to a fixed-line number, in the form of a notification.
14. A system (1) according to any of the preceding claims; characterized by the database (4) which is managed by the server (5), and configured to record mobile number and fixed-line number information of users in it.
15. A system (1) according to any of the preceding claims; characterized by the server (5) which is configured to establish communication with the mobile device (2) and the fixed-line network server (S) by using any remote communication protocol.
16. A system (1) according to any of the preceding claims; characterized by the server (5) which is configured to establish communication with the mobile device (2) and the fixed-line network server (S) by means of a session initiation protocol.
17. A system (1) according to any of the preceding claims; characterized by the server (5) which is configured to realize data record to the database (4), and to manage the database (4).

A system (1) according to any of the preceding claims; characterized by the server (5) which is configured to receive the fixed-line number and mobile number information transmitted by the user by means of the application (3) and then to match the fixed-line number and the mobile number, and to save the matched number information to the database (4) with a distinctive token about the user.
19. A system (1) according to any of the preceding claims; characterized by the server (5) which is configured to receive the matched number information kept in the database (4) upon being triggered by a demand for using the fixed-line number on the application (3).

A system (1) according to any of the preceding claims; characterized by the server (5) which is configured to receive a call request with a fixed-line number that is received over the application (3) by a session initiation protocol over an internet protocol and then to transmit the call request to the fixed-line network server (S).
21. A system (1) according to any of the preceding claims; characterized by the server (5) which is configured to receive a call request transmitted to a fixed-line number, from the fixed-line network server (S) and then to transmit it to the application (3).

A method (200) for receiving calls incoming to a fixed-line number over a mobile application; characterized by steps of registering to the application (3) by a mobile number that is identified in the SIM card on the mobile device (2) (201); receiving a call transmission request by a fixed-line number over the application (3) (202); receiving a fixed-line number from the fixed-line network server (S), and matching it with the mobile number that is identified on the application (3) (203); receiving a call request initiated towards a fixed-line number from the fixed-line network server (S), and sending notification to the application (3) (204); accepting a call over the application (3), and initiating sound transmission (205).
