Definitions
- the invention relates to the field of production of ammunition with non-lethal projectiles for firearms and bladed weapons.
- shock-traumatic cartridges use a cylindrical design (shape) of shells.
- the disadvantage of such structures is the invariability of the contact impact plane until the very direct contact with the object of interaction.
- the diameter of the projectile is limited by the diameter of the barrel of the weapon. That is why in such projectiles it is impossible to combine a high muzzle velocity within the framework of the tasks of illegal cartridges and a stopping action that would not exceed the action dangerous to the health and life of the object.
- there are certain restrictions on the range of application which, in some cases, physically or situationally impossible to comply with.
- the overwhelming majority of traumatic projectiles that are allowed for civilian use have restrictions on the use of 20 meters and further, which, in fact, is not a self-defense distance.
- the "NASTAR" projectile Due to the increased contact area, the "NASTAR" projectile has a high frontal resistance to the air flow, which allows, at a high initial velocity, to drastically reduce the bullet velocity and, accordingly, the projectile energy to the physiologically permissible medical standards.
- this distance can be increased to the required one, in accordance with the customer's requirements.
- Non-lethal projectile can be made of materials of different hardness that are acceptable for use in the appropriate types of weapons, including some types of self-loading.
- the task of non-lethal projectiles is to stop the object of influence (the attacker) without causing significant harm, while preventing the infliction of injuries incompatible with life to any living organism - either a person or an animal.
- Such projectiles serve for self-defense or to prevent actions that threaten the public or personal safety of citizens.
- the contact area of the striking part of the projectile should be as large as possible to transfer the maximum energy aimed at stopping the object of action and at the same time avoid penetration and serious injury to the external and internal organs of living organisms.
- the non-lethal projectile (bullet) "NASTAR” works on the principle of increasing the contact area with segmented striking elements, which open in flight even before contact with the target and do not allow penetration into the target.
- the "NASTAR” projectile is a one-piece structure that includes segmented elements (from two or more) and a base - a ring that unites these elements.
- Segmented elements unfold immediately after leaving the barrel, increasing the contact area several times.
- the projectile In flight, the projectile is stabilized by rotation, which is created as a result of the action of the flow of incoming air on the petals, which are made in the form of a propeller of a flying vehicle (aircraft, etc.).
- a groove In the lower part of the projectile (ring), a groove (hole) is made like in parachutes, which allows you to avoid turning or overturning in flight.
- the high frontal resistance to the air flow of the increased contact area of the "NASTAR" projectile allows, at a high initial velocity, to drastically reduce the bullet velocity and, accordingly, the projectile energy to permissible values according to physiological and medical standards.
- the material for the "NASTAR" projectile can be composite materials based on rubber or plastic, into which materials can be added to increase or, conversely, to reduce weight.
