Detailed Description of the Invention
The present invention relates to a cooking appliance (1) including a component that is positioned horizontally and divides the interior of the cooking chamber (cooking pot, cooking reservoir) into two sections as the section where the blender (processing apparatus) operates and the section where the blender do not operate, thus, the cooking appliance (1) allows both the ingredients desired to remain within the mixture without disintegration and the ingredients desired to form the essence of the mixture by disintegrating to be processed separately within the same mixture at the same time. The above mentioned component constitutes two separate sections within the cooking chamber in order to enable the homogeneous mixture of the desired ingredients and the heterogeneous mixture of the desired ingredients in the same mixture. Different geometries (surface geometries such us flat, concave, convex, etc.; outer frame geometries such as circle, quadrilateral, triangle, etc.) and configurations of said component are possible with the condition of having holes (22) or gap structures in sizes that prevent the transition of the ingredients placed within the first section (lower side) towards the second section (upper side) before they reach a homogeneous consistency and at the same time prevent the transition of the ingredients that are placed within the second section and desired to be cooked in a certain size towards the first section in order to prevent their disintegration. Here, the present invention is explained with the perforated separator (20) structure with flat surface and square outer frame, which is only one of the preferred embodiments of the component, and the explanations are inclusive for other embodiments performing the same function.
Present innovative cooking appliance (1) enables meal with heterogenous distribution to be prepared in accordance with the recipe by allowing some ingredients to remain within the mixture at sizes appropriate to the recipe.
Present cooking appliance (1) consists of a lower body (10), a motor (10.1) positioned inside mentioned lower body (10), a processing apparatus (10.2) moved by means of the shaft of mentioned motor (10.1), an upper body (11) positioned at the upper part of said lower body (10) and in which said processing apparatus (10.2) operates, at least one perforated separator (20) placed horizontally inside the upper body (11), at least one alignment structure (11.1) allowing said perforated separator (20) structure to be positioned horizontally at certain points within the upper body (11) and a cover (30). Separator outer frame (21) can be placed exactly on the determined alignment points (11.5) of the alignment structure (11.1).
The upper body (11), in which the perforated separator (20) is placed, is divided into two separate processing volumes; first section (lower side) (11.2) where the ingredients such as lentils, potatoes, onions, etc. desired to have homogeneous distribution within the mixture by disintegrating are placed and second section (upper side) (11.3) where the ingredients such as chickpeas, noodles, meatballs, etc. desired to have heterogeneous distribution within the mixture by cooking without disintegration are placed. The ingredients placed between the perforated separator (20) and the base of the upper body (11) are disintegrated into homogeneous consistency by means of the blender blades (in another embodiments, a mixer or other processing apparatus (10.2) can be used) located in the upper body (11) and form the essence of the mixture. The ingredients placed on the upper side of the perforated separator (20) continue to be cooked within the mixture at the desired dimensions without disintegration.
Thanks to the rotational movement caused by the processing apparatus (10.2) (here blender blades) within the mixture, it is provided to mix both ingredients which are located at the lower side and upper side of the perforated separator (20) structure. During the mixing (rotational movement) process provided by the blender blades within whole the mixture, the ingredients in the first section (11.2) are disintegrated while the ingredients in the second section (11.3) continue to mix without disintegration. Thus, a situation such as burning of ingredients by sticking on the base of the upper body (11) is prevented by ensuring the mixing process in the whole mixture.
In another embodiment of the innovative cooking appliance (1), a third section (11.4) volume is formed in the upper body (11) for the ingredients preferred to be cooked within the steam without contacting with mixture by using a second perforated separator (20) positioned higher than the first separator (20). Here, in order to ensure the second perforated separator (20) to be positioned horizontally at a level that does not contact with the mixture, there is a second alignment point (11.5) positioned higher than the first alignment point (11.5) on the alignment structure (11.1) located on the inner surface of the upper body (11).
By using the innovative cooking appliance (1), meals such as rice with meat and vegetables, pasta with sauce, etc. can be prepared easily. By using a second perforated separator (20) which is optionally placed slightly above the water level, it is possible to steam the green-leaved vegetables in a way does not lose their vitamins together with the cooking meals.
In other embodiments of the present innovative the cooking appliance (1), it is also possible to create more separate sections (volumes) by using more than two perforated separator (20). In these embodiments, there is at least one alignment point (11.5) corresponding to each perforated separator (20).
The alignment structure (11.1) can be an extra part that is mounted or added to the upper body (11) later, or it can be a recess or protrusion-like structure formed on the inner surface of the upper body (11). The alignment structure (11.1) shown in the figures enables the perforated separator (20) to be positioned at angle 0° with horizontal axis, and other embodiments allowing the perforated separator (20) to be positioned at different angles with the horizontal are also possible.
In addition, in the preferred embodiment of the innovative cooking appliance (1), which is shown in the figures, the inner volume of the upper body (11) widens from the base towards upside. The base and mouth parts of the upper body (11) are rectangular. The separator outer frame (21) of the perforated separator (20) is also configured in the same geometry as the base and mouth parts of the upper body (11). Thus, when the separator frame (21) is positioned on the alignment structure
(11.1), the transition between first section (11.2) and second section (11.3) which are formed inside the upper body (11) is provided only through the holes (22) of separator (20). In the other preferred embodiments of the present invention, with the condition of that the transition between first section
(11.2) and second section (11.3) which are formed inside the upper body (11) is provided only through the holes (22) of separator (20), it is possible the upper body (11) and the separator (20) to be in different geometries (cylinder, rectangular, triangular, conical, frusto-conical, etc.).
In one of the preferred embodiments of the present invention, the perforated separator (20) is cylindrical and is placed on the base of the upper body (11) in such a way the processing apparatus
(10.2) remains in it. Thus, it is possible to create two separate sections within the upper body (11) of the present innovative cooking appliance (1) for both the ingredients desired to remain within the mixture without disintegration and the ingredients desired to form the essence of the mixture by disintegrating. While the ingredients desired to be cooked in a certain size without disintegration are placed outside the cylindrical separator (20), the ingredients desired to be form the essence of the mixture are placed inside the cylindrical separator (20). In the case where the processing apparatus operates on the outer side of the cylindrical separator (20), the ingredients desired to be cooked in a certain size without disintegration are placed inside the cylindrical separator (20), while the ingredients desired to be form the essence of the mixture are placed outside the cylindrical separator (20).
The hole (22) size of the separator (20) is wide enough to allow the homogeneous state of the ingredients that are desired to be completely disintegrated by placing within the first section (11.2) to pass through on but narrow enough to prevent the ingredients desired to be remain at the certain sizes in accordance with the recipe by placing within the second section (11.3) and/or third section (11.4) to pass through on.
As long as it provides the function provided by the present innovative cooking appliance (1), it is possible that the upper body (11) and the perforated separator (20) are made of any material.
