Description

A KIND OF ANTI-THEFT SYSTEM DETECTING HIGH MAGNETIC FIELDS IN
STORES
Field of Invention
The present invention is related to an anti-theft system in the fitting rooms of the stores.
The invention is particularly related to a kind of system that prevents theft attempts by removing and opening the magnetic tags attached on the clothes in order to prevent theft in the fitting cabinets of the clothing stores with a magnetic element of magnetic effect field.
Current State of the Art
In the current state of the art, many cases of theft are encountered in shops where clothes are sold. Although these cases of theft are very diverse, they are usually related to the unfair way of obtaining the clothes displayed for sale.
In the current state of the art, shops use clothes alarm to protect the clothes they offer for sale. The said clothes alarm consists of two parts attached to each other by its general line. There are claws, balls and springs in the mechanisms of these parts. By pressing the spring in the mechanism, the ball is moved and the claw is fixed where it is located.
The interior structure of the clothes alarm can be seen in the video https://voutu.be/mVfz3hLx4Tk. In the relevant link, the video on the drawing of the product, consisting of two parts and that we call a clothing alarm can be watched.
When a magnetic field is created with a strong magnet from the outside, the spring /ball inside the clothing alarm is retracted, and in this way, the claw part also pulls itself back and the lock mechanism enables the separation of the clothing alarm. This information can be used by the store and the store staff as well as by ill-intentioned people.
In the current technique, ill-intentioned people who know the method of separating the clothing alarm as mentioned above can unfairly obtain the products in the store by using magnets that create magnetic fields to separate the clothing alarm
In the current art, the malevolent acts mentioned above are usually encountered in the cabinets. The cabinets in the store are enclosed areas used by people to try outfits without being seen by other people. For this reason, ill-intentioned people carry out malevolent actions in the cabinet area.
In the current technique, this can also be seen in channels accessible to everyone as it the information about how to set and turn on clothing alarms can be obtained. For example, as can be seen in the video at https://voutu.be/Q6CJZUZscvM that how different types of clothing alarms can be removed and attached in detail. Although people can Access this information in good faith, for example just to remove a forgotten alarm on a product they have purchased, malicious people can also use this information to attempt shoplifting in stores.
In the current technique, a report stating that there is a paint tube application instead of an alarm as a measure against theft is available. (The link of the related news: https://www.haberler.com/magazalarda-hirsizliga-karsi-alarm-yerine-boya-4882158- haberi/). In this technique, which is more costly than a clothing alarm, the paint tube blows up when the plastic apparatus on the garment is tried to be deformed and removed by force. Thus, both the product and the hands of the person are painted with bursting paint.
According to the news text, whose link is given above, there are 4 mini tubes in red and dark blue tones in plastic apparatuses that can be attached to all kinds of clothing. When the apparatus of the alarm is attempted to be broken, the tubes burst and the paint spreads on the product and the person. As a result, the person is not able to attempt theft and leave the store empty-handed. Stores can put this painted product aside as defective product. With the use of this technique, as a result of the bursting, there will be paint on the product and the product is deemed defective. In this situation, the business owner incurs extra cost.
Another negative aspect of the technique mentioned above is that the person is offended because of being painted. Although attempted maliciously, being offended by the third persons is one of the most negative aspects of this technique. Our invention enables to determine the possibility of committing a malevolent action without being offended. In this way, it is ensured that shop assistants are informed before any act of theft is realized.
In the current state of the art, there are also patent or utility model applications aiming to prevent theft in clothing stores.
There is a patent application titled “ANTITHEFT DEVICE AND CLOTHES FITTING
ROOM HAVING ANTITHEFT FUNCTION” that is included in the current state of the art, with publication no. JP3396801 B2. The machine translation of the summary is as the following (Google translate): “THE PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anti-theft fitting room that can prevent theft of goods with price tags. SOLUTION: In this fitting room (11), a probing unit (14) is attached to each item (15) as an anti commodity device. Receiving radio waves of probe signals, each commodity price tag (16) emits response radio waves modulated by the inherent identification of each previously set commodity. Then, radio waves of the rolling signals are transmitted to the tag (16) and the response radio waves sent back from the tag (16) to detect the identification information specific to the commodities of the tag (16). A transported commodity non-display device (17) is placed outside the room (11) and displays information about the commodity based on the commodity-specific identification information detected by unit ( 14). ”
This application mentions that the thefts that can be carried out in the fitting room can be detected by the price tags on the products. It is also mentioned that an act of theft will be detected by entering and counting the labels placed on the products. There are also patent applications with publication number JP3799515 B2 and JP2000048270 A, which are included in the current state of the art. These applications detailed the system in JP3396801 B2 and also explained some differences. In these applications, it is mentioned that the thefts that can be carried out in the fitting rooms can be detected by the price tags on the products and that a theft action will be detected by counting the labels placed on the products upon entering the cabinet.
Although the problems that the above-mentioned applications with publication numbers JP3396801 B2, JP3799515 B2 and JP2000048270 A aim to solve are similar to our invention, the elements and solution methods are different. The installation of the mentioned system is high cost and the system will be difficult to monitor.
There is a patent application titled “A FITTING/CHANGING ROOM SECURITY SYSTEM AND METHOD OF MONITORING GOODS TAKEN INTO SUCH A FITTING/CHANGING ROOM” included in the current state of the art with publication number WO09959115 A1. The machine translation of the summary is as the following (Google translate): “A fitting/changing room security system includes scales (11) for weighing goods entering and leaving a fitting room, and means for storing a weight of goods received into a fitting/changing room. Comparing the weights of the goods entering the fitting/changing room and leaving it thereafter, it is compared to determine whether a possible theft has occurred”.
This application aims to detect thefts in the cabinet. The system subject to this application mentions the detection of theft by measuring the weights of the clothes hangers upon entrance and at the time of exit.
Unlike the techniques in the applications mentioned above, our invention provides the user with easy use. Our invention enables theft detection while continuing routine operations in the store without the need for additional procedures such as counting tags or measuring the weight of hangers. As a result, due to the negativities described above and the insufficiency of existing solutions on the subject, it is necessary to make a kind of anti-theft system that detects high magnetic field in stores
Brief Description of the Invention
The present invention relates to a kind of anti-theft system that detects high magnetic field in stores, meeting the above-mentioned requirements, eliminating all disadvantages and bringing some additional advantages.
The primary objective of the invention is to prevent theft, prevent leaving the store with the product and detecting this situation.
One of the objectives of the invention is to ensure that the staff or the store are warned in case of disconnection of the clothes alarm, which is likely to occur in the cabinets in the clothes stores.
In the current technique, elements (magnets) with a higher value of magnetic field than magnets in mobile phone speakers and headphones are used to remove the clothing alarm in theft actions.
Our invention has a sensor that detects all kinds of magnetic fields and a processor that detects a higher magnetic field than the magnets in mobile phone speakers and headphones. When the said processor detects a high magnetic field, it warns the shop assistant visually or audibly through the communication unit. In this way, our invention warns the shop assistant about a possible theft activity inside the store.
Another objective of the invention is to ensure that possible theft activities to be experienced in stores are notified to the attendant visually or audibly with a cost- effective system.
The invention allows shop assistants to take precautions in advance in case of doubt. Shop assistants are informed that a person is carrying a magnetic element with high magnetic value and takes precautions. Thus, it is ensured that an action is determined and the suspect is offended before it is attempted.
Another objective of the invention is to reduce theft activities in the stores where the system subject to the invention is used
Another objective of the invention is to ensure that the warning is made/conveyed only to the store or the attendant. In this way, it ensures that the malicious person is caught during the event.
Another objective of the invention is to ensure theft detection while continuing routine operations in the store without the need for additional procedures.
The structural and characteristic features and all advantages of the invention will become more understandable with the following figures and the detailed description referring to these figures and therefore the evaluation should be made with reference to these figures and detailed description.

Figure imgf000012_0001
First of all, the sensor (3) and the control unit (4) are positioned in the cabin opening (2.1) in a store where clothes are sold.
The sensor (3) measures the magnetic field value of every object that enters the cabinet (2) and transmits the information to the control unit (4).
As it is known in the current technique, the magnetic element (6) carried for theft purposes is at a level above the magnetic field value normally used in daily life. In this way, when a magnetic element (6) with a high magnetic field passes through the cabinet opening (2.1), the sensor transmits this measurement to the control unit (4).
Each data coming from the sensor (3) is analyzed by the processor (4.1) and compared according to the "predetermined threshold value". (The threshold value mentioned here is preferably set as a value higher than the magnetic field of magnets in mobile phone speakers and headphones.)
If the processor (4.1) finds that the incoming data is higher than the determined threshold value, an audio or visual notification is made to the device (5) via the communication unit (4.2). The notification mentioned here is made by at least one of the Wi-Fi, LAN, GSM, Bluetooth, USB or Ethernet in the communication unit (4.2) or another communication method that provides these functions.
After the notification is made, the shop attendants will take the necessary measures according to their preferences.
If the processor (4.1) finds that the incoming data is not higher than the specified threshold, the comparison of the incoming data is continued.
The most important feature of our invention is that it notifies the attendants in the likely theft attempt. The staff is informed when a person carrying a magnetic element (6) of a high magnetic field value enters the cabinet (2). Thus, regardless of the purpose, the cabinet (2) will ensure that a person carrying a magnetic element (6) of a high magnetic field to take measures. In addition, thanks to the continuous magnetic field value measurement, our invention can be used to determine the number of people entering the cabin (2) in alternative applications. As every person has their own magnetic field value, this can be calculated and applied.
