Abstract

Dividing a container into equal amount and pouring two individual things in it. For instance, by buying a carton or a bottle or a can or a jar and etc, you have two types of different products of one thing in your hand. This idea is not complicated and for the sake of simplicity, it can be so useful and practical. People could choose different flavors of one product that they like just in a container. They can drink or eat them individually or even they could mix them in order to reach the new flavor that they very like it. By this manner, factories will probably respect their customer's preference and desire.

Description

Title of Invention:
[Dividing containers into separate compartments]
[Fig-1]
[1] [fig.1-1 ,1-2, 1-3, 1-4] represent a cardboard carton with two lids on the top of it. This carton is divided into two separate compartments. For instance, on one side is Full Fat Milk and on the other side is Low-fat Milk or Orange Juice and Carrot Juice and as the same way this container could be used for other drinks (Wine, Beer, etc).
[Fig.2]
[2] [fig.2-1 , 2-2] represent a plastic bottle which is divided into two separate compartments and there are two lids on either side of this container. For the bottle, a hole is designed for taking the bottle easier and pouring the liquid from each side into glass. This container could be designed in various other tastes for Milks, Juices, Sparkling Waters, Sparkling soft drinks, alcoholic beverages, etc.
[fig.2-3] represents bottle’s lid.
[Fig.3]
[3] [fig.3] represents a plastic bottle which the lid and the bottle are divided into two separate compartments .There are two seals on the lid that they can be rotated 90 or 180 degrees for opening and closing each side of the bottle. When you are tilting the bottle toward one side, the seal of other side should be closed that it can avoid pouring the liquid from the same side. Also there are two dents in the left side and right side of the bottle for taking the bottle. For instance, in this figure, on one side is Frying Oil and on the other side is Sunflower Oil and etc. Various types of other lids can be used for this container that I will describe them in other figures.
[Fig.4]
[4] [fig.4-1] represents a glass bottle which is divided into two separate compartments and there is a metal lid on the top of it. For instance, red wine is in one part and white wine is in the other part or two different types of whisky or two different types of Vodka or other kinds of drinks in each part. Inside the glass, under the lid of bottle, there are two semicircular seals on each side, as it shown in FIG 4-2; these two seals are designed similar to seals of flasks that are available on the market which they go up and go down by pressing them. This is useful for pouring the liquid from each side of the bottle.
[5] [fig.4-3] is designed similar to FIG 4-1 , although there is a smaller glass bottle inside the main bottle. There can be a liquid in the inner bottle and another liquid in the main bottle. There are three seals under the lid, the seal in the center is for inner bottle in a rectangle shape and the other seals in two sides are for main glass in semicircular shapes. These seals move upward and downward.
[fig.4-4] is similar to FIG 4-3, although FIG 4-4 contains three parts for three kinds of liquids because the main glass is divided into two separate compartments.
[6] [fig .4-5] is similar to FIG 4-1 , but in FIG 4-5 one seal is placed in the glass bottle. The seal can be rotated 90 degrees by rim of the seal in order to open and close each side of the bottle. In the top view of this figure, you can see three different types of these seals.
[fig.4-6, 4-7, 4-8] illustrate different types of seals for FIG 4-1.
[fig.4-6] the seal can be gone toward left and right for opening and closing each side. It has a circular shape.
[7] [fig.4-7] two semicircular seals are connected to each other by a hinge in the center. Each of them can rotate 180 degrees in order to open and close each side of the bottle.
[fig.4-8] the seal has a circular shape. By pushing the right side of the seal, the left side going up and we can pour the liquid of the same side in the glass, and vice versa. This seal is placed on two edge of the bottle.
[Fig.5]
[8] [fig.5-1 , 5-2] represent a can which is divided into two separate compartments. There are two seals on the top of the can on each side. For instance, in one part is Cola and in the other part is Sprite or two different beers or any kind of beverage that can be poured in this can.
[9] [fig.5-3, 5-4, 5-5] represent the lids of a can. By closing the lids after opening the seals, avoid pouring liquid inside the can. Lids are placed on the top of the can, just above the seals. Two lids are connected by a hinge in the center and each of them can rotate 180 degrees. They can close both sides completely or one side can be open and the other side can be close in order to pour liquid from one side. Also by rotating both lids 90 degrees upward, we can put two straws into each part and it brings about a symbol of love between couples with different tastes.
[Fig.6]
[10] [fig.6] this type of container is useful in restaurant’s industry. It is divided into two separate compartments. There are two holes on the top of this plastic container which can put two straws into them. This container is a transparent plastic, so the colors of two kind beverages may be attractive and it brings about a symbol of love between couples with different tastes. [Fig.7]
[11] [fig.7-1 , 7-2, 7-3, 7-4, 7-5] represent a metal can which is divided into two separate compartments. The lid of this can is designed with a dent line in the middle that the divider sheet in the can fasten to it with putting the lid on the container. It avoids mixing content one side with the other side by moving or shaking the container. In this type of container can be Chopped Tomatoes in one part and Tomatoes Paste or Plum in the other part or different Beans or different Soups or different types of Milk Powder, etc.
[fig.7-6] represents the lid in another view for containers in FIG 7-1 , 7-2, 7-3, 7-4, 7-5.
[Fig.8]

[21] IN Food Industry: This innovation can be used for other different food products, dairy products and etc. And also in many of related factories, this innovation can be applied in order to produce more attractive and useful products. To avoid repetitive descriptions and shapes of containers, I will just name some other products, for instance, different Sauces, Pastas, Teas and any kind other products in these factories with economical packing. [Fig.17]
[22] IN Restaurant Industry: This innovation is also practical in restaurant industry and can bring about beautifulness. In some of restaurants, there are lots of plastic or glass containers on the table that occupy much space and even people are uncomfortable while eating their food. With this innovation, they can place the same products by occupying less space, for instance FIG 17- 1 , 17-2 represent it and also FIG 6 is used in this industry. Other products can be designed for this industry but to avoid repetitive shapes, I drew some of the shapes.
[23] IN Toiletries Industry and Cosmetics Industry: This innovation is also useful in two industries. Definitely there are many products which occupy much space in bathrooms. With placing two types different of products in one container, it helps us to have more space. And also when we will travel, it is not necessary to take a Conditioner and a Shampoo in two containers because we can easily take one container which contains both of them. It occupies less space in our luggage. I designed containers for some of the products that I will describe them.

Claims

Claims As far as I am an industrial engineer and one of our responsibilities is to increase the profit in factories or industries and this affair could be happen with decreasing the costs in a factory or increasing the sale by considering market demands, this idea (dividing containers into separate compartments) put in my mind. At first glance, this idea may very simple to look. However, according to lifestyles today this idea could have three main goals:
[Claim 1 ] It could increase the sale of goods of different factories;
As a matter of fact nowadays products’ containers are repetitive and look like each other and also there aren’t new attractions for customers. On the other hand customers are looking for change and new products that provide their flavors. By changing the containers of products and its content, people certainly would be attracted.
Producing new attractive containers in two colors and also pouring two different types of one product into an individual one simultaneously can effect on marketing and sale. In addition, most of these designed containers could be transparent that by showing substances with two different colors inside one container can attract customers. I mean, by dividing one container, they will be more beautiful beside their usage.
In conclusion, this idea would improve sales amount.
[Claim 2] It could raise purchasing power of people according to their budget and their requirements quantity;
Firstly: Most of the times people should buy two different products in two containers, for instance, in one family, parents would like to buy a carton of milk and the child would the chocolate milk, so with the aid of this idea the family could have both of types of product with less money, because they only pay for one carton that have both products.
Therefore, they could buy different types of products according to their purchasing power and also they have more choices. Secondly: Most of these products have short expiration date and also people have to buy these products in large amount that is more than their requirement to provide their desires and their different flavors, so they will throw away excess amount of these products after passing their expiration date.
In conclusion, this Idea may avoid wasting these products and also it can help people to get their required products in the desired quantities simultaneously.
On the other hand, this issue causes in one family, the members respect tastes each other and also like two different flavors of a product together, they will have more enjoy being together too.
[Claim 3] It could cover a wide range of different tastes by reducing the amount of money and producing less harmful substances for the environment;
Therefore, this idea would avoid wasting products absolutely and on the other hand by producing small amount of containers that are made of plastics, cartons, glasses, cans, etc; it can help protect the environment.
