(First Embodiment)
<Function configuration example>
FIG. 1 is a diagram showing a functional configuration of the settlement gate device 10 according to the present embodiment. The payment gate device 10 is provided in a passage through which a person who makes a payment for the purchased product (hereinafter, also referred to as a payment person) carries the purchased product. This passage is, for example, an entrance or exit to a predetermined area. The predetermined area may be, for example, a store, a building, a specific room or floor in the building, or an elevator hall.
The payment gate device 10 includes a housing 110, a product reading unit 120, and a payment method reading unit 130.
The payment gate device 10 has a plurality of housings 110. The housing 110 is installed on each side of the passage. Each of the two housings 110 has a product reading unit 120. Further, at least one housing 110 has a payment method reading unit 130. In the example of FIG. 1, the payment method reading unit 130 is provided in the right housing 110 of the two housings 110. In this case, the settler can easily hold a smartphone, an IC card, or the like as a payment means with his / her right hand and hold it over the payment method reading unit 130. However, the payment method reading unit 130 may be provided in the housing 110 on the left side.
The housing 110 extends from the entrance 11 of the passage through which the settler passes along the exit 13 over a predetermined distance L. Two housings 110 are installed side by side along the aisle in parallel with each other at a distance W on both sides of the aisle. Preferably, the two housings 110 are installed in parallel. At least two housings 110, or each component contained in the housing 110, may be electrically connected to each other. Therefore, the plurality of product reading units 120 provided in each housing 110 can operate in cooperation with each other.
In the example shown in FIG. 1, the product reading unit 120 and the payment method reading unit 130 are provided in the housing 110 in this order from the entrance 11 side to the exit 13 side of the passage.
The product reading unit 120 reads the product information of the product passing through the aisle. In other words, when the settler passes through the aisle with the product, the product reading unit 120 reads the product information of the product. The goods may be stored in the shopping cart of the store, the bag of the shop, or the bag or bag of the settler.
It is assumed that the product is associated with an RF (Radio Frequency) tag that stores product information. The product reading unit 120 may have an antenna that wirelessly communicates with the RF tag in order to read the product information from the RF tag. As shown in FIG. 1, a plurality of product reading units 120 are provided along the walking direction of the settler.
The product information is information for identifying the product at the store, for example, an ID assigned to the product at the store. The RF tag associated with the product may be attached directly to the product, or in the case of a delivery product, the RF tag itself may be used, or other items (for example, a card on which product information is posted). It may be attached to.
The payment method reading unit 130 reads the information that specifies the payment method of the read product. The payment method is, for example, at least one of QR (Quick Response) code (registered trademark) payment, electronic money, and credit card payment. The information read by the payment method reading unit 130 differs depending on the payment method. Therefore, as the payment method reading unit 130, reading devices corresponding to the payment method are provided in the housing 110, respectively. In the present embodiment, the payment method reading unit 130 reads a two-dimensional code such as a QR (Quick Response) code (registered trademark) or a barcode displayed on the display of the user terminal 200 owned by the payment person. A leader. The user terminal 200 is, for example, a mobile terminal such as a smartphone or a tablet terminal.
<Hardware configuration example>
FIG. 2 is an orthographic projection of the housing 110 on the right side of FIG. 2 (a) is a top view, FIG. 2 (b) is a front view, and FIG. 2 (c) is a right side view. In the example of FIG. 2, the housing 110 is a rectangular parallelepiped having a height H, a width D, and a depth L. However, the housing 110 may have a curved surface, unevenness, or holes on a part of the surface, or may be a polyhedron in which at least one corner of the hexahedron is cut off. The height H of the housing 110 is preferably a height at which the settler can easily hold the user terminal 200 over the settlement method reading unit 130.
The height of the installation position of the plurality of product reading units 120 may be set to a region where the reading accuracy of the RF tag associated with the product is good when the settler passes by with the purchased product. In this example, three product reading units 120 are provided in one housing 110, and a total of six product reading units 120 are used to read product information. However, the number of product reading units 120 is this. Not limited to. Further, the number and position of the product reading units 120 provided in the two housings 110 do not have to be the same. Further, by making the directivity of each antenna of the product reading unit 120 different from each other, it is possible to reduce the reading omission of the RF tag.
The reading accuracy of the RF tag can be improved by adding up the reading results of the RF tags associated with the products using the plurality of product reading units 120 to determine the product to be settled.
<動作例>
<Operation example>
FIG. 3 is a flowchart for explaining an operation example of the payment gate device 10. FIG. 4 is a diagram showing a state in which the settler passes through the settlement gate device 10. When the settler enters the entrance 11 of the settlement gate device 10 (FIG. 4 (a)), the product reading unit 120 is associated with the purchased product in the settler's shopping cart, and the product information is from the RF tag. Start reading. Here, the method of detecting the entry of a person into the passage of the settlement gate device 10 is not particularly limited, but the detection can be performed by a human sensor such as an infrared sensor, a load sensor or a vibration sensor provided under the entrance 11. Alternatively, it may be a sensor that detects a person by image processing. Further, the motion sensor may include a light emitting unit and a light receiving unit. In this case, the light emitting unit and the light receiving unit are provided at positions facing each other with the passage of a person in between. Then, when the light receiving unit does not receive the light emitted by the light emitting unit, that is, when a person is located between the light emitting unit and the light receiving unit, a signal indicating that a person has been detected is output. Further, the presence of a person may be detected by starting the reading of the RF tag by the product reading unit 120.
Then, as the settler advances along the aisle (FIG. 4B), the product reading unit 120 reads the product information from the RF tag associated with the purchased product in the settler's shopping cart (step in FIG. 3). S102).
Then, in order to pay for the purchased product, the settler displays the QR code on the display of the user terminal 200 and holds it over the reading surface of the payment method reading unit 130 (FIG. 4C) to read the payment method. The unit 130 reads the QR code and reads the information specifying the payment method (step S104 in FIG. 3). Then, the settler exits from Exit 13. At this time, the settlement process is performed by an accounting device (not shown) based on the information read by the settlement method reading unit 130. This configuration will be described in the embodiment described later.
As described above, according to the present embodiment, the product reading unit 120 and the payment method reading unit 130 are arranged in this order from the entrance 11 side to the exit 13 side of the passage. Therefore, the reading of the product information can be completed before the payment is made.
