Description

BURNER ASSEMBLY FOR A GAS COOKING DEVICE
TECHNICAL FIELD
Present invention relates to burner assembly having a venturi element utilized on a gas cooking device and provide a gas and air mixture.
PRIOR ART
Gas burners having rings one inside the other has a circular inner part and circular outer part with a passage therebetween are used on a cooker. A high-power burner comprises a flame distributor composing two combustion rings one inside the other, and an air supply channel extending above the top plate so that disposed between the flame distributor and a base in a receptacle form assembled to the top plate from below. An air gas mixture is completed by the air supplied to the base by passing through a venturi element and subsequently is transferred to the flame distributor from channels disposed on body.
In some embodiments wherein the air is supplied from the top plate, the high quantity air flow directed to the venturi channel bends the flame crown down so that limiting the volume of the air and therefore power generated by the burner. In another embodiment, the air is provided below the base. In such cases, particularly at the burners disposed on the hobs of the stand alone products, the flame flickering problem occurs when the door of the cooking chamber is opened and closed in a swift manner and middle burner may even cut the flame. Primary source of problem is affecting primary air flow used to combustion by instant low pressure during opening the door of the oven and instant high-pressure during closing. Furthermore, side components such as cooling fan located at the area where the burner is disposed also causes same problems.

Herewith, a multiple rings gas burner to be installed on a hob, with flames distributed over a substantially circular inner portion and over an outer portion of a flame divider, the circular inner portion and the outer portion separated by an annular secondary air cavity, it presents a single gas inlet in communication with at least one injector disposed horizontally, with said at least one injector there is associated a venturi conduit of linear extension disposed horizontally, the primary air required for burner operation comes from the top external to the hob, the secondary air required for burner operation comes from the top external to the hob, the air/gas mixture is supplied to both the outer and circular inner portion of the flame divider via the same linear venturi conduit is disclosed.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Object of the invention is providing a compact burner design for cooking appliances.
In order to achieve above objective, the invention relates to a burner assembly for a cooking device comprising a peripheral wall having a gas inlet to supply combustion gas by an injector assembled in a horizontal or narrow angle position and a base at least partly confined by peripheral wall and a venturi element adjacent to a mixing chamber accessed by the gas inlet is extending along the base; a flame distributor transferring gas air mixture provided from the base by means of a corresponding distribution channel by supplying from mixing chamber and discharges air gas mixture from multiple slits circumferentially. Additionally, invention comprises at least one air inlet provided directly at the peripheral wall and supply ambient air from the base such that composing air gas mixture with combustion gas by accessing to the mixing chamber. A simple and effective burner assembly is provided by obtaining the air from the ambient for the mixture directly through the peripheral wall near the base. It is also achieved to obtain required power amount without using additional measure rendering a complex burner assembly design. Additionally, due to the air inlet is disposed at the bottom, the burner flame is unaffected from disturbing air flows composed at the outer part of the gas cooker where the burner assembly is disposed.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the air inlet is provided adjacent to the gas inlet. By this means, the ambient air entering to the bottom body is provided by making use of low pressure at the section of the peripheral wall adjacent to the gas inlet during discharge of the gas in low pressure from injector. The air inlet can be provided only at the peripheral wall such that being primary air inlet of the burner assembly, also at the alternative embodiments is used to provide another air inlet in addition to auxiliary or primary air inlet opened at the top and/or base.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the air inlet comprises an opening in the form of a through-hole at the peripheral wall. The air inlet is simply formed during production of the burner assembly since the air inlet is formed when the base is cut or stamped in mold from the peripheral wall. Also, opening at the peripheral wall allow bring the air surrounding the base with least loss of pressure. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, an inlet nozzle is confining the opening by extending outwardly from the opening. The inlet nozzle protects the opening from external factors, such as spilled foods or external contaminants such as dust. The inlet nozzle could be in an angled or circular cross-sectional form adapted to the outer form of inlet opening. Also, the inlet nozzle could be in a form covering inlet opening from upper side such as a bonnet or entirely cover in tube like form.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the inlet nozzle is expanding outwardly from the opening. In this way, the ambient air moving towards the base is accelerated by the narrowing cross-section. It has been determined that the accelerating ambient air provides a well-mixed an air gas mixture at the mixing chamber which entails reaching to a surprisingly lower emission value.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, a nozzle inlet of the venturi element aligns towards the gas inlet. In this situation, the combustion gas which is provided by the gas inlet is fed to the venturi without disturbing the flow dynamics. In preferred embodiment, there is no obstacle to affect the flow dynamics between the gas inlet and inlet nozzle of the venturi element.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the gas inlet and the inlet nozzle extend substantially co-axial. By this means, while low pressure burner gas supplied from gas inlet, e.g. LPG or natural gas, by blown from inlet nozzle into the venturi element, the air disposed at the mixing chamber is mixed effectively and moves on fast at the venturi element. In such a way, the air surrounding the combustion gas accelerate together with its surrounding air and high burner performance is obtained using a short venturi element at the base.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, part of the mixing chamber confined by peripheral wall comprises a concave arc form aiming to the center of the venturi element. Arc form enables the axis of gas inlet and the peripheral wall is aligned to the axis of the venturi element. Thus, a compact base design is possible by redirection of the gas inlet and the air inlet to the venturi element is provided by the peripheral wall itself.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the air inlet is provided such that the gas inlet is disposed at the center of the arc form substantially symmetrical position at the corresponding ends of the peripheral wall. Thus, disposing more than one air inlet at the preferably, right and left hand side of the peripheral wall with injector prevented the bending of the gas jet fed by the injector by air disturbances occur due to the various reasons. Surrounding air flows are converted to laminar flow with this air corridors prevent deformation of laminar air of the injector by reaching it.
A preferred embodiment of the invention comprises a flow regulator which is disposed to the air inlet is balancing the pressure in covering manner and allowing the air flow. Flow regulator, regulate instant low and high pressures which occurs, e.g. during opening the oven door via several perforated meshes which is disposed to end of the nozzle confining the air opening, preventing disturbance of laminarity of the injector jet.
A preferred embodiment of the invention comprises a top cover closing the upper part of the base and providing fluid communication to the flame distributor providing air gas mixture via an outer ring and an inner ring with the corresponding distribution channels in a hermetically sealed manner. The top cover provides to move on the air gas mixture only from upper of the distribution channels by closing inner chamber which parts such as mixing chamber of the base and venturi element is disposed
A preferred embodiment of the invention comprises a cut-out part is formed at the peripheral wall of the top cover at a vicinity of the gas inlet. The cut-out part enables the burner assembly to receive additional air from upper side of by providing an additional air inlet.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the width of cut-out part is arranged narrower than the part at which the air inlet of the peripheral wall is disposed. Thus, the air supplied to base from the upper cover from upper of the cut-out part is prevent negative influence on the flow dynamics of the primary air inlet which is supplied from air opening.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention comprises an assembly distance is provided between base and flame distributor. Assembly distance enables flame distributor to be removed from upper of the base by gripping from below.
An embodiment of the invention in order to achieve above objection is a cooking appliance having a burner assembly as mentioned above.
