Abstract
The present invention relates to Jekuk Opuntia monacantha Haw. which is a new variety of Jeju baeknyuncho and, more specifically, to Jekuk Opuntia monacantha Haw. which is a new variety of Jeju baeknyuncho and is bred by line breeding O. monacantha Haw., i.e. baeknyuncho growing wild in Jeju, by means of cross-pollination and can be repeatedly reproduced asexually, and parts derived from the plant, including leaves, stems, seeds, shoots, roots, fruits or cells. The present invention allows establishment of the plant variety system associated with Jeju baeknyuncho by acquiring the new variety of Jekuk Opuntia monacantha Haw. as a plant genetic resource, can be used as a reference index for relevant industry fields, and can be distributed to be used in various industry fields and thus provides economic advantages for developing the local economy.
