Description

A DISHWASHER COMPRISING AN IDENTIFIER
The present invention relates to a dishwasher comprising an identifier.
In dishwashers, the washing process is realized by spraying the water received from the main delivery line onto the dishes by means of the spray arms. The spraying members provided on the spray arm enable the water to be sprayed onto the dishes at a certain pressure. The flow rate and pressure of the sprayed water are critical in terms of cleaning of the dishes. Additional spraying members are used to clean the stains in the washing areas. The kitchen items placed onto the rack are cleaned with water pressure and detergent. Therefore, the layout of the dishes on the rack is important to perform a highly-efficient washing process. Some of the kitchen items placed onto the rack may have dense dirt or less dirt. When short programs are used in such cases, the dishes with dense dirt cannot be cleaned. When delicate kitchen items are placed onto the rack, the user must select the short programs. Because delicate items may get damaged due to high water pressure. However, in this case, other dishes may not be cleaned.
In the state of the art European Patent Document No. EP1272093, a dishwasher is disclosed, wherein an identifier is used. The type of the detergent is determined depending on the data received from the identifier.
The aim of the present invention is the realization of a dishwasher with improved washing effectiveness.
The dishwasher realized in order to attain the aim of the present invention, explicated in the first claim and the respective claims thereof, comprises a body; a washing tub wherein the washing process is performed; a plurality of racks which are disposed in the washing tub; and a plurality of spray arms which spray water onto the racks, thus carrying out the cleaning process. The kitchen items are placed onto the rack by the user. The spray arms are positioned on the body so as to spray water to every region of the rack. Generally two spray arms, a lower and an upper spray arm, are used. However, in order to create dense washing zones, additional spray arms may be used at different regions.
The dishwasher of the present invention comprises a plurality of identifiers which are attached onto the kitchen items by the user; a plurality of sensors which are provided at different regions on the body and which can read the codes on the identifiers; and a control unit which adjusts the water pressure depending on the data received from the sensors. The identifiers are attached onto the kitchen items in special situations as per user preference. The identifying code is read by the sensor and thus the state of the kitchen item is determined, and the control unit controls the water pressure depending on the special situation determined.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the dishwasher comprises the identifier which provides the identification of various dirt levels with the codes thereon, and the control unit whereon the dirt levels are prerecorded by the producer. The code read by the sensor is correlated to a significant dirt level by the control unit. Depending on the dirt level, high- or low-pressure water is delivered onto the kitchen items.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the dishwasher comprises the identifier which provides the identification of kitchen items having various delicateness levels with the codes thereon, and the control unit whereon the delicateness levels correlated to the codes are prerecorded by the producer. The water is delivered onto the kitchen items at the pressure determined by the control unit depending on the delicateness level detected by the sensor.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the dishwasher comprises the control unit which determines the position of the kitchen item depending on the data received from the sensors. The position of the kitchen item is determined by the control unit detecting the data received from the sensors provided at various regions on the body.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the dishwasher comprises the control unit which controls the spray arms depending on the position of the kitchen item having the identifier thereon. The identified kitchen items are enabled to be washed in a controlled manner by controlling the rotational speed of the spray arms and the pressure of the water sprayed by the spray arm depending on the information read on the identifier.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the dishwasher comprises the identifiers in various colors correlated to their features. The user uses identifiers in different colors to identify very dirt, less dirty and delicate kitchen items. Thus, ease of use is provided.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the dishwasher comprises the detachable identifiers. The identifiers can be in the form of a peg.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the dishwasher comprises the adhesive identifiers.
By means of the present invention, a dishwasher is realized, wherein kitchen items which can be damaged by the washing program or which are dirtier than the other items are identified.
A dishwasher realized in order to attain the aim of the present invention is illustrated in the attached figures, where:

The dishwasher (1) comprises a body (2); a washing tub (3) which is disposed in the body (2) and wherein the washing process is performed; at least one rack (4) which is disposed in the washing tub (3) and whereon dishes to be washed are placed; and a plurality of spray arms (5) which spray water onto the racks (4). The kitchen items are placed onto the rack (4) by the user. By means of the spray arms (5) positioned around the rack (4) on the body (2), water is delivered onto the kitchen items, thus the kitchen items are cleaned.
The dishwasher (1) of the present invention comprises a plurality of identifiers (6) which are attached onto the kitchen items under the control of the user; a plurality of sensors (7) which are provided on the washing tub (3) and which detect the identifiers (6); and a control unit (8) which controls the water pressure depending on the data received from the sensors (7). Various codes are provided on the identifier (6). These can be QR code or barcode. The codes are read by the sensors (7) and then delivered to the control unit (8). The codes which are predefined on the control unit (8) by the user are identified by the control unit (8). The water pressure is controlled depending on the identified states of the kitchen items.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the dishwasher (1) comprises the control unit (8) which determines the position of the kitchen item having the identifier (6) thereon depending on the data received from the sensors (7). The body (2) is divided into a plurality of equal zones. Each zone includes the sensors (7) which can detect the identifiers (6). Thus, the position of the kitchen item having the identifier (6) thereon is determined depending on the zone of the sensor (7) transmitting data to the control unit (8).
In an embodiment of the present invention, the dishwasher (1) comprises the control unit (8) which controls the operation of the spray arms (5) depending on the position of the kitchen item having the identifier (6) thereon. The pressure of the water delivered onto the kitchen item of which the position is determined with the data transmitted by the sensors (7) is controlled by means of the spray arms (5). The pressure and rotational speed of the spray arm (5) which delivers water to the zone containing the kitchen item identified as very dirt are increased while the pressure of the spray arm (5) which delivers water to the zone containing the kitchen item identified as less dirty or delicate is decreased. Thus, energy and water is saved, preventing the kitchen items from getting damaged.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the dishwasher (1) comprises the identifier (6) which provides the identification of various dirt levels with the codes thereon, and the control unit (8) whereon the codes on the identifier (6) are prerecorded by the producer. The producer records various dirt levels and the relevant water pressures on the control unit (8). Depending on the dirt level read by the codes, the water is delivered onto the kitchen item in a controlled manner.
High-pressure water is delivered onto the kitchen item identified as very dirty while low-pressure water is delivered onto the kitchen item identified as less dirty. Thus, energy and water is saved.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the dishwasher (1) comprises the identifier (6) which provides the identification of delicateness of kitchen items with the codes thereon, and the control unit (8) whereon the codes on the identifier (6) are prerecorded by the producer. By means of the identifier (6) attached onto the kitchen item, the delicate dishes are determined by the control unit (8). By delivering water with less pressure onto the delicate dishes, the kitchen items are prevented from getting damaged.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the dishwasher (1) comprises the identifier (6) in various colors correlated to the identified characteristics. By means of the colors, the user can distinguish which identifier (6) should be used to define special cases.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the dishwasher (1) comprises the detachable identifier (6). The user can attach the identifier (6) onto the kitchen item before starting the washing program and detach the same after the washing program is completed. The identifier (6) can be in the form of a peg.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the dishwasher (1) comprises the adhesive identifier (6). The identifier (6) can be in the form of an adhesive which is not affected by water or temperature and which can be reused.
By means of the present invention, a dishwasher (1) is realized, comprising identifiers (6) which provide the identification of dishes with various characteristics and sensors (7) which detect said identifiers (6). The data received from the sensors (7) are evaluated by the control unit (8) and the water pressure at the relevant zone is controlled depending on the state of the kitchen item.

Claims (8)

  1. A dishwasher (1) comprising a body (2); a washing tub (3) which is disposed in the body (2) and wherein the washing process is performed; at least one rack (4) which is disposed in the washing tub (3) and whereon dishes to be washed are placed; and a plurality of spray arms (5) which spray water onto the racks (4), characterized by a plurality of identifiers (6) which are attached onto the kitchen items under the control of the user; a plurality of sensors (7) which are provided on the washing tub (3) and which detect the identifiers (6); and a control unit (8) which controls the water pressure depending on the data received from the sensors (7).
  2. A dishwasher (1) as in Claim 1, characterized by the control unit (8) which determines the position of the kitchen item having the identifier (6) thereon depending on the data received from the sensors (7).
  3. A dishwasher (1) as in Claim 1 or Claim 2, characterized by the control unit (8) which controls the operation of the spray arms (5) depending on the position of the kitchen item having the identifier (6) thereon.
  4. A dishwasher (1) as in any one of the above claims, characterized by the identifier (6) which provides the identification of various dirt levels with the codes thereon, and the control unit (8) whereon the codes on the identifier (6) are prerecorded by the producer.
  5. A dishwasher (1) as in any one of the above claims, characterized by the identifier (6) which provides the identification of delicateness of kitchen items with the codes thereon, and the control unit (8) whereon the codes on the identifier (6) are prerecorded by the producer.
  6. A dishwasher (1) as in any one of the above claims, characterized by the identifiers (6) in various colors correlated to the identified characteristics.
  7. A dishwasher (1) as in any one of the above claims, characterized by the detachable identifier (6).
  8. A dishwasher (1) as in any one of the above claims, characterized by the adhesive identifier (6).
