BACKGROUND A furniture frame structure for a bed, which is adapted for storage space, is known. More specifically, the furniture frame structure provides storage space via drawers under the bed. The furniture frame structure and the drawers are adapted with rails and castors allowing the drawers to be rolled into a position under the bed and extracted from the bed in a sideways direction of the bed. Bed associated goods, such as quilts, pillows and bed linen, may be stored in the drawers. Further, the furniture frame structure is provided with a headboard at a head end of the bed projecting vertically from the bed, wherein the headboard is adapted to be rigidly connected to an adjacent wall. The headboard has a depth in the longitudinal direction of the bed and has a number of vertically spaced shelves providing storage compartments accessible from a lateral side of the bed.
SUMMARY
An objective of the invention is to provide a furniture frame structure for a bed, which creates conditions for flexibility in solutions for storage of goods and provides a safe design.
The objective is achieved by a furniture frame structure according to claim 1. Thus, it is achieved by a furniture frame structure, which comprises a frame section for a bed and a frame section for storage of goods, wherein the bed frame section comprises a platform for a mattress, wherein the goods storage frame section is arranged beside the platform and wherein the furniture frame structure comprises a fastening system for connecting the goods storage frame section to the bed frame section.
The fastening system is preferably designed for easy assembly and disassembly by a user. In this way, a flexible furniture frame structure may be achieved, which matches a current trend in that more people live in less space and move more frequently.
Further, the furniture frame structure creates conditions for modular storage systems. Such a system may comprise differently designed goods storage frame sections for providing a wardrobe, bookshelf, room divider etc. Further, such a system may be designed for allowing a user to choose height, width, type and style of the goods storage frame section. Further, the furniture frame structure meets a need for a multifunctional furniture that makes use of small spaces as efficient as possible. Thus, the furniture frame structure allows for a personalised solution.
Further, the furniture frame structure provides for a safe solution in the sense that it reduces the risk of the goods storage frame section to tilt during collection of goods from the goods storage frame section thanks to the fastening system adapted for connecting the goods storage frame section to the bed frame section. Due to the weight of the bed, the risk of tilting will be very low, also for a goods storage frame section of considerable height, such as a bookshelf or a wardrobe. Further, the furniture frame structure provides for a free-standing solution.
According to one embodiment, the platform has two laterally extending ends defining the platform in a horizontal longitudinal direction and two longitudinally extending ends defining the platform in a horizontal lateral direction, wherein the goods storage frame section is arranged adjacent one of said ends of the platform. According to one example, each one of the two laterally extending ends extends along a straight line and the two laterally extending ends are in parallel with each other. Likewise, each one of the two longitudinally extending ends extends along a straight line and the longitudinally extending ends are in parallel with each other. According to a further example, the laterally extending ends are directed perpendicularly in relation to the longitudinally extending ends. Thus, the platform may have a rectangular shape.
Thus, the goods storage frame section may be arranged either adjacent a short side of the rectangular platform, which may correspond to a head end or a foot end of the bed, or adjacent a long side of the rectangular platform, which may correspond to a lateral end of the bed.
According to a further embodiment, the goods storage frame section has an extension along said one of the ends of the platform adjacent the goods storage frame section that is at least half the length of said end in its horizontal extension direction. Such a size of the goods storage frame section in the extension direction of one of the sides of the platform creates conditions for a significant storage volume and also, in the case of a goods storage frame section with a vertical extension considerably larger than the height of the platform, for forming a room divider. More specifically, the space for the bed may be divided in the room from another space, such as a kitchen or lounge area.
According to a further embodiment, the goods storage frame section has an extension along said one of the ends of the platform adjacent the goods storage frame section that is at least as long as the length of said end in its horizontal direction.
Such a size of the goods storage frame section in the extension direction of one of the sides of the platform creates even better conditions for a significant storage volume and for forming a room divider.
According to one example, the goods storage frame section has an extension along said one of the ends of the platform adjacent the goods storage frame section that is commensurate with the length of the bed frame section at said platform end in its horizontal direction. More specifically, the goods storage frame section and the bed frame section may be designed so that they are rigidly connected to each other via the fastening system and that the goods storage frame section forms an extension of the bed frame section in the horizontal longitudinal direction. More specifically, an outer surface of the goods storage frame section may be flush with an adjacent outer surface of the bed frame section at an interface between the goods storage frame section and the bed frame section. This, in turn, creates further conditions for a rigid and safe construction and a visually attractive appearance.
According to a further embodiment, the fastening system is adapted for connecting the bed frame section and the goods storage frame section in a releasable way. Further, the fastening system is preferably designed for easy assembly and disassembly by a user. In this way, a flexible furniture frame structure may be achieved. The fastening system may comprise fastening elements in the form of metal screws and wooden plugs. Further, end portions of the goods storage frame section and the bed frame section may be provided with holes for receipt of parts of the fastening elements for joining the goods storage frame section and the bed frame section together. According to a further embodiment, the furniture frame structure comprises a plurality of goods storage frame sections of different design and wherein the fastening system is adapted for connecting any one of the goods storage frame sections to the bed frame section so that different frame structure combinations may be achieved.
This embodiment regards a modular storage system. The system may comprise differently designed goods storage frame sections for providing a wardrobe, bookshelf, room divider etc. Further, such a system may be designed for allowing a user to choose height, width, type and style of the goods storage frame section.
According to a further embodiment, each one of the bed frame section and the goods storage frame section comprises a contact surface and wherein the bed frame section and the goods storage frame section are connected via the fastening system so that the contact surfaces are in contact with each other. Preferably, the contact surfaces have complimentary shapes for a rigid construction when the bed frame section and the goods storage frame section are connected to each other. According to one example, each one of the contact surfaces extends in a plane.
According to a further embodiment, the contact surface of the bed frame section is arranged adjacent said end of the platform adjacent the goods storage frame section and extends in a plane perpendicular to the horizontal longitudinal direction in case said end is a laterally extending end or in a plane perpendicular to the horizontal lateral direction in case said end is a longitudinally extending end. This embodiment creates conditions for a rigid construction and a visually attractive solution.
According to a further embodiment, the goods storage frame section comprises at least one storage compartment which is accessible from a side of the goods storage frame section opposite of a side of the goods storage frame section facing the platform. This embodiment creates conditions for a multifunctional solution. For example, the bed may be positioned in a room so that a storage compartment of the goods storage frame section functionally relates to an area of the room different from the sleeping area.
According to a further embodiment, at least one of said at least one storage compartment is closed by the bed frame section for the portion of the goods storage frame section that overlaps the bed frame section seen in a horizontal direction. Thus, the storage compartment of the goods storage frame section may be open in opposite horizontal directions when the goods storage frame section is not connected to the bed frame section. This embodiment creates conditions for an efficient design regarding cost and weight in that the interface between the bed frame section and the goods storage frame section may comprise a single wall (an end wall of the bed frame section).
According to a further embodiment, the goods storage frame section has such an extension in a vertical direction that an uppermost portion of the goods storage frame section is at the same vertical position as the platform or in a higher position than the platform when the goods storage frame section is connected to the bed frame section. This embodiment creates conditions for using the goods storage frame section as a room divider. Further, the embodiment is especially functional in combination with the above described feature that a storage compartment is accessible from a side of the goods storage frame section opposite of a side of the goods storage frame section facing the platform.
According to a further development of the last-mentioned embodiment, the goods storage frame section has such an extension in a vertical direction that an uppermost portion of the goods storage frame section is at a vertical position at least twice the height of, preferably at least three times as high as, especially at least four times as high as, and further especially at least five times as high as the platform when the goods storage frame section is connected to the bed frame section.
According to a further embodiment, the goods storage frame section comprises a wall extending in a vertical direction between the uppermost portion of the goods storage frame section and an uppermost portion of the bed storage frame section at said end of the platform adjacent the goods storage frame section for closing at least one storage compartment in the horizontal direction. This embodiment is especially useful in combination with the above described feature that at least one storage compartment is closed by the bed frame section for the portion of the goods storage frame section that overlaps the bed frame section seen in a horizontal direction. This embodiment creates conditions for a further efficient design regarding cost and weight in that a single wall may close the storage compartment at any vertical position. According to one example, the wall extends between both boundaries of the goods storage frame section in its width direction (horizontal direction).
According to a further development of the last-mentioned embodiment, the goods storage frame section wall is positioned at an end of the goods storage frame section facing the bed frame section for closing said at least one storage compartment in the horizontal direction. In this way, the volume of the goods storage compartment is maximized with regard to access from a side of the goods storage frame section opposite the bed frame section.
According to a further embodiment, the goods storage frame section comprises at least one first rectangular panel extending in a plane defined by a width direction and a depth direction of the goods storage frame section and at least one second rectangular panel extending in a plane defined by the depth direction and a height direction of the goods storage frame section, and wherein the at least one second panel is connected to the at least one first panel. The width direction and the depth direction extend in a horizontal plane and the width direction is defined as perpendicular to the depth direction. Further, the depth direction and the height direction extend in a vertical plane and the depth direction is defined as perpendicular to the height direction.
Preferably, the goods storage frame section comprises two spaced first rectangular panels and two spaced second rectangular panels, which panels are interconnected forming the shape of a rectangle in cross section. Further, the panels may define the outer boundaries of the goods storage frame section. Further, the panels may define the boundaries of the goods storage compartment.
According to a further embodiment, the goods storage frame section comprises a plurality of goods storage frame parts, wherein each goods storage frame part comprises at least one of said first rectangular panels and at least one of said second rectangular panels and wherein the goods storage frame section comprises a fastening arrangement for interconnecting the goods storage frame parts. Thus, according to this embodiment, the goods storage frame section comprises several separate parts, wherein each part may define a separate good storage compartment. The fastening arrangement is preferably designed for easy assembly and disassembly by a user. In this way, a flexible furniture frame structure may be achieved. Further, the fastening arrangement may comprise fastening elements in the form of metal screws and receivers. Further, end portions of adjacent goods storage frame parts may be provided with holes for receipt of parts of the fastening elements for joining the goods storage frame parts together.
According to a further development of the last-mentioned embodiment, a first goods storage frame part has such an extension in a vertical direction that an uppermost portion is at a vertical position commensurate with an uppermost portion of the bed frame section at said end of the platform adjacent the goods storage frame section when the goods storage frame section is connected to the bed frame section and wherein at least one second goods storage frame part is arranged on top of the first goods storage frame part. This embodiment creates further conditions for a multifunctional use of the furniture frame structure, for example in that an existing design with the bed frame structure and the first goods storage frame part may be combined at a later point in time with the second goods storage frame part on top of the first goods storage frame part.
According to a further development of the last-mentioned embodiment, at least two of said goods storage frame parts are arranged in a side by side relationship in a horizontal direction.
According to a further embodiment, the goods storage frame section comprises a first goods storage frame part, at least two second goods storage frame parts of different design and wherein the fastening arrangement is adapted for connecting any one of the second goods storage frame parts to the first goods storage frame part so that different goods storage frame section combinations may be achieved.
This embodiment regards a modular storage system. The system may comprise differently designed goods storage frame parts for providing a wardrobe, bookshelf, room divider etc. Further, such a system may be designed for allowing a user to choose height, width, type and style of the goods storage frame section.
According to a further embodiment, the goods storage frame section has such an extension in a vertical direction that a lowermost portion of the goods storage frame section is at the same vertical position as a lowermost portion of the bed frame section when the goods storage frame section is connected to the bed frame section so that the storage frame section is supported against a floor. Thus, the goods storage frame section forms a load-carrying structure in a vertical direction against the floor. This design creates conditions for a safe solution in the sense that it reduces the risk of the goods storage frame section to tilt.
According to a further development of a last-mentioned embodiment, said lowermost portion of the goods storage frame section is formed by a lowermost one of said first rectangular panels.
According to a further embodiment the goods storage frame section has a top end surface facing upwards in a vertical direction, wherein the furniture frame structure comprises a cover plate which is adapted for being arranged on top of the top end surface and wherein the goods storage frame section and the cover plate are adapted for being connected to each other. This design creates conditions for further functionality, increased rigidity and a visually attractive solution. The cover plate may for example be designed in a more wearable and/or more visually attractive material than the panels of the goods storage frame section.
According to a further development of the last-mentioned embodiment, the cover plate is arranged on top of the plurality of interconnected frame parts arranged in the side by side relationship and wherein the cover plate is adapted for connecting the side by side frame parts in a sideways direction. In this way, a rigid construction of the furniture frame structure may be achieved, which may be especially applicable for a goods storage frame section of larger height.
Further advantages and advantageous features of the invention are disclosed in the following description and in the dependent claims.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF EXAMPLE EMBODIMENTS
Fig. 1 is a perspective view of a frame section 2 for a bed according to a first embodiment. The bed frame section 2 has the shape of a rectangular box. The bed frame section 2 extends between two first opposite vertical side surfaces in a horizontal longitudinal direction X, between two second opposite vertical side surfaces in a horizontal lateral direction Y and between two third opposite horizontal side surfaces in a vertical direction Z. The bed frame section 2 comprises a platform 4 for a mattress. More specifically, the bed frame section comprises an upper rectangular surface extending in a horizontal plane, which forms the platform 4. The platform 4 has two laterally extending ends 5,6 defining the platform in the horizontal longitudinal direction X and two longitudinally extending ends
7,8 defining the platform in the horizontal lateral direction Y. Each one of the two laterally extending ends 5,6 extends along a straight line and the two laterally extending ends 5,6 are in parallel with each other. Likewise, each one of the two longitudinally extending ends
7,8 extends along a straight line and the longitudinally extending ends 7,8 are in parallel with each other. Further, the laterally extending ends 5,6 are directed perpendicularly in relation to the longitudinally extending ends 7,8. Thus, the platform 4 has a rectangular shape.
The two laterally extending ends 5,6 of the platform 4 correspond to the two first opposite vertical side surfaces of the bed frame section 2 and the two longitudinally extending ends
7,8 of the platform correspond to the two second opposite vertical side surfaces of the bed frame section 2. Thus, the platform 4 covers the complete upper surface of the bed frame section 2.
Preferably, a mattress of a size regarding width and length commensurate with the outer boundaries of the platform 4 is used. A central rectangular area of the platform 4 comprises a plurality of parallel and spaced slats, which rest on support surfaces at either end. Such a slatted bed base extends the lifetime and comfort of the mattress by absorbing most of the stress and weight on the bed. The slatted area has a smaller extension in the horizontal longitudinal direction X and in the horizontal lateral direction Y in relation to the platform 4.
Further, the bed frame section 2 comprises an upper panel 42 extending in a horizontal plane, which forms a part of the platform 4, and a lower panel 43 extending in a horizontal plane, which is adapted to face a floor. Further, the bed frame section 2 comprises a plurality of spaced vertical panels 44,45,46,47, which are connected to each one of the upper panel 42 and the lower panel 43 and bridge the distance between them. A plurality of storage compartments 48,49,50 are formed between the panels. The storage compartments 48,49,50 are accessible from a lateral side of the bed. The bed frame section 2 comprises a contact surface 12 adapted for being in contact with a complimentary shaped surface 13 of a goods storage frame section 3, see figure 2, when the bed frame section 2 and the goods storage frame section 3 are connected via a fastening system 9,10,11 , see figures 1-4. The contact surface 12 of the bed frame section 2 is arranged adjacent said laterally extending end 5 of the platform 4 and extends in a plane perpendicular to the horizontal longitudinal direction X.
More specifically, the bed frame section 2 comprises an end wall 15 extending in a plane perpendicular to the horizontal longitudinal direction X, wherein an outer surface of the wall 15 forms the contact surface 12. The end wall 15 covers the complete end of the bed frame section 2 in the horizontal lateral direction Y and in the vertical direction Z. The panel 44 forms a part of the end wall 15.
The end wall 15 comprises a first set of spaced holes 30a for receipt of first fasteners 9. Further, the end wall 15 comprises a second set of spaced holes 31a for receipt of second fasteners 10, see figure 2.
Fig. 2 is a perspective view of a frame section 3 for storage of goods according to a first embodiment. The goods storage frame section 3 has the shape of a rectangular box. The goods storage frame section 3 extends between two first opposite vertical side surfaces in a width direction A, between two second opposite vertical side surfaces in a depth direction B and between two third opposite horizontal side surfaces in a height direction C. According to the first embodiment, the goods storage frame section 3 has the same extension in the depth direction B as in the height direction C.
The goods storage frame section 3 comprises a contact surface 13 for being in contact with the complimentary shaped contact surface 12 of the bed frame section 2 when the goods storage frame section 3 and the bed frame section 2 are connected via the fastening system 9,10,11. The contact surface 13 of the goods storage frame section 3 extends in a plane perpendicular to the depth direction B. The goods storage frame section 3 comprises two spaced first rectangular panels 18,19 extending in a plane defined by the width direction A and the depth direction B of the goods storage frame section 3. Further, the goods storage frame section 3 comprises three spaced second rectangular panels 20,21 ,22 extending in a plane defined by the depth direction B and the height direction C of the goods storage frame section 3. The outermost second panels 20,22 are connected to the first panels 18,19 forming the shape of a rectangle in a cross section perpendicular to the width direction B. The goods storage frame section 3 does not have any end wall in the depth direction B. In other words, the goods storage frame section 3 forms an opening in the depth direction B throughout the goods storage frame section 3.
The goods storage frame section 3 comprises two storage compartments 16. The storage compartments 16 are defined by the first panels 18,19 in the height direction C and by two of the second panels 20,21 and 21 ,22, respectively, in the width direction A.
The edge surfaces of the second rectangular panels 20,21 ,22 comprises a first set of spaced holes 30b for receipt of the first fasteners 9 and a second set of spaced holes 31b for receipt of second fasteners 10. Thus, each one of the first and second fasteners 9,10 will partially be arranged in the bed frame section 2 and partially in the goods storage frame section 3. The second fastener 10 is formed by a wooden plug.
Fig. 3 is a perspective view of a step in an assembly procedure for connecting the goods storage frame section 3 to the bed frame section 2. More specifically, the goods storage frame section 3 is moved relative to the bed frame section 2 in a linear manner so that the depth direction B of the goods storage frame section 3 is in parallel with the longitudinal horizontal direction X of the bed frame section 2 and so that the first and second fasteners 9,10 are inserted in their respective corresponding holes in the other frame section.
Fig. 4 is a perspective view of a consecutive step in the assembly procedure for connecting the goods storage frame section 3 to the bed frame section 2. The three spaced second rectangular panels 20,21 ,22 comprises a third set of spaced holes 32 for receipt of a third fastener 11. The third set of spaced holes 32 are positioned adjacent the contact surface 13 and are in communication with the first set of spaced holes 30b. The third fastener 11 comprises a slot for receipt of a portion of the first fastener 9. The slot is open in a radial direction of the fastener 11 and extends around the circumference of the fastener 11 with an inclination. The third fastener 11 comprises an end for engagement with a screwing tool.
The goods storage frame section 3 has such an extension in the height direction C that an uppermost portion 14 of the goods storage frame section 3 is at the same vertical position as the platform 4 when the goods storage frame section 3 is connected to the bed frame section 2. More specifically, an upper surface of the upper first panel 19 is flush with the upper surface of the platform 4.
Further, the goods storage frame section 3 has such an extension in the height direction C that a lowermost portion 40 of the goods storage frame section 3 is at the same vertical position as a lowermost portion 41 of the bed frame section 2 when the goods storage frame section 3 is connected to the bed frame section 3 so that the storage frame section is supported against a floor. Thus, the goods storage frame section 3 forms a load carrying structure in a vertical direction against the floor. Said lowermost portion 40 of the goods storage frame section is formed by a lowermost one 18 of said first rectangular panels. More specifically, a lower surface of the lower first panel 18 is flush with a lowermost surface of the bed frame section 2.
Fig. 5 is a perspective view of a furniture frame structure 1 according to a first embodiment, which comprises the goods storage frame section 3 connected to the bed frame section 2. The goods storage frame section 3 is arranged beside the platform 4 in the horizontal longitudinal direction X. More specifically, the goods storage frame section 3 is arranged adjacent said lateral end 5 of the platform.
The goods storage frame section 3 has an extension along said lateral end 5 of the platform 4 that is at least half the length of said lateral end 5 in the horizontal lateral direction Y. More specifically, the goods storage frame section 3 has an extension along said lateral end 5 of the platform 4 that is commensurate with the length of said lateral end in the horizontal lateral direction Y. More specifically, the lateral side surfaces of the goods storage frame section 3 in its width direction A are flush with the two second opposite vertical side surfaces of the bed frame section 2 in the horizontal lateral direction Y. The storage compartment 16 is accessible from a side of the goods storage frame section 3 opposite of a side of the goods storage frame section 3 facing the platform 4. Further, the storage compartment 16 is closed by the end wall 15 of the bed frame section 2 in the depth direction B.
The goods storage frame section 3 has a top end surface 27, see figure 6, facing upwards in the height direction C. Further, the furniture frame structure 1 comprises a cover plate 28 which is adapted for being arranged on top of the top end surface 27. Further, the goods storage frame section 3 and the cover plate 28 are adapted for being connected to each other via a set of fourth fasteners 33 in the form of screws. The upper panel 19 of the goods storage section 3 comprises a set of holes 34 for receipt of the screws 33. Likewise, the cover plate 28 comprises a set of holes with a configuration matching the holes 34 of the upper panel 19. The length of the screws 33 are adapted to the thickness of the panel 19 and the thickness of the cover plate 28 so that they will not penetrate the cover plate 28 completely. Further, a fastener sleeve 35 is premounted in the hole 34.
The fastening system 9,10,11 is adapted for connecting the bed frame section 2 and the goods storage frame section 3 in a releasable way. Thus, the goods storage frame section 3 may be removed from the bed frame section 2, wherein the goods storage frame section 3 and the bed frame section 2 may be used separately. Further, a goods storage frame sections 103,203,303, see figures 10,11 ,12, of a different design than the first described goods storage section 3 may be connected to the bed frame section 2 via the fastening system 9,10,11 so that different frame structure combinations may be achieved.
Fig. 6-9 are perspective views of different stages of an assembly procedure for transforming the furniture frame structure 1 according to the first embodiment to a furniture frame structure 301 according to a second embodiment, see figure 10.
In a first step, see figure 6, the screws 33 are unscrewed, wherein the cover plate 28 is released from the goods storage frame section 3 and can be removed. In a second step, see figure 7, each one of a set of fifth fasteners 36 are inserted into and engaged with the fastener sleeves 35. The fastener 36 has a radially external surface for engagement with the fastener sleeve 35 and a radially internal surface for engagement with a sixth fastener 37, see figure 8. Turning now to figure 8, a goods storage frame section 303 according to a second embodiment is shown in a perspective view. The goods storage frame section 303 has such an extension in the height direction C that an uppermost portion 314 of the goods storage frame section is at a vertical position about six times as high as the height of the platform 4 when the goods storage frame section 303 is connected to the bed frame section 2. Thus, the goods storage frame section 303 may function as a room divider.
Further, the goods storage frame section 303 comprises a wall 315 extending in a vertical direction between the uppermost portion 314 of the goods storage frame section 303 and an uppermost portion 17 of the bed storage frame section 2 for closing at least one storage compartment 316a, 316b in the depth direction B. The goods storage frame section wall 315 is positioned at an end of the goods storage frame section 303 in the depth direction B facing the bed frame section 2 for closing said at least one storage compartment 316a, 316b in the depth direction B.
The goods storage frame section 303 comprises a plurality of goods storage frame parts 23, 323a, 323b. Thus, according to the shown embodiments, the first goods storage frame part 23 is used in all four embodiments of the goods storage frame section 3,103,203,303. Thus, the variations in height of the four embodiments of the goods storage frame section 3,103,203,303 are achieved via adding second goods storage frame parts 123a, 123b; 223a, 223b; 323a, 323b on top of the first goods storage frame part 23. A modular system is achieved by the arrangement of the interfaces of the first goods storage frame part 23 and the second goods storage frame parts 123a, 123b; 223a, 223b; 323a, 323b.
According to the description above, a first configuration of the bed frame structure comprising a goods storage frame section of a height commensurate with the height of the bed frame section has been transformed into a second configuration of the bed frame structure comprising a goods storage frame section of a height substantially higher than the height of the bed frame section. It goes without saying that if a user initially selects a goods storage frame section of a height substantially higher than the height of the bed frame section, the cover plate 28 will not first be connected on top of the first, lowermost goods storage frame part 23. Instead the relevant second goods storage frame parts 123a, 123b; 223a, 223b; 323a, 323b may be arranged on top of the first, lowermost goods storage frame part 23 directly and the cover plate 28 will thereafter be connected on top of the second goods storage frame parts 123a, 123b; 223a, 223b; 323a, 323b.
According to the embodiments of the furniture frame structure 1 ,101 ,201 ,301 described above, the goods storage frame section 3,103,203,303 is arranged adjacent the lateral side of the bed frame section 2 so that the width direction A of the goods storage frame section 3,103,203,303 is in parallel with the horizontal lateral direction Y of the bed frame section 2. According to one alternative, the goods storage frame section 3,103,203,303 is arranged adjacent the longitudinal side of the bed frame section 2 so that the width direction A of the goods storage frame section 3,103,203,303 is in parallel with the horizontal longitudinal direction X of the bed frame section 2.
Further, the first goods storage frame part 23 is used in all four embodiments of the goods storage frame section 3,103,203,303 and the variations in height of the four embodiments of the goods storage frame section 3,103,203,303 are achieved via adding second goods storage frame parts 123a, 123b; 223a, 223b; 323a, 323b on top of the first goods storage frame part 23. According to one alternative, the goods storage frame section is constituted by a single part in the height direction, also for configurations of a height substantially higher than the height of the bed frame section.
Further, according to the embodiments of the furniture frame structure 1 ,101 ,201 ,301 described above, the goods storage frame section 3,103,203,303 is arranged beside bed frame section 2 in a horizontal plane. According to one alternative, the bed frame section may comprise and extension in the horizontal plane, wherein the goods storage frame section may be arranged on top of the extension of the bed frame section. Thus, the variations in height of the goods storage frame section are achieved via adding goods storage frame sections on top of the extension. For example, such an extension may be achieved by arranging the first goods storage frame part described above as an integral part of the bed frame section.
It is to be understood that the present invention is not limited to the embodiments described above and illustrated in the drawings; rather, the skilled person will recognize that many changes and modifications may be made within the scope of the appended claims.
