Abstract

Cartridges configured for use in a hair treatment device include a pouch having an outlet, a capsule located within the pouch, and a fitment sealed within the outlet of the pouch. The pouch contains a first product and the capsule contains a second product.

Claims

AMENDED CLAIMS received by the International Bureau on 1 1 November 2020 (1 1.1 1.2020) The embodiments of the invention in which an exclusive property or privilege is claimed are defined as follows:
1. A cartridge configured for use in a hair treatment device, the cartridge comprising: a pouch having an outlet, the pouch containing a first product;
a capsule located within the pouch, the capsule containing a second product;
a fitment sealed within the outlet of the pouch; and
a filter secured to the fitment.
2. The cartridge of Claim 1, wherein the first product is a colorant and the second product is a developer.
3. The cartridge of Claim 1, wherein a cage secures the filter to the fitment.
4. The cartridge of Claim 3, wherein the pouch is lined with polypropylene and heat sealed to the fitment.
5. The cartridge of Claim 1, wherein at least one of the first product or the second product are liquid.
6. The cartridge of Claim 1, wherein at least a portion of the pouch is gas-permeable and liquid impermeable.
7. The cartridge of Claim 1, wherein the cartridge further comprises a second capsule located within the pouch, the second capsule containing a third product.
8. The cartridge of Claim 7, wherein the second capsule has at least one of a different shape or a different surface texture than the capsule.
9. The cartridge of Claim 1 , wherein the first product has a first volume and the second product has a second volume that differs from the first volume.
10. The cartridge of Claim 1, wherein the capsule is frangible.
11. The cartridge of Claim 1, wherein the capsule has a flexible membrane.
12. The cartridge of Claim 1, further comprising a mixing element within the pouch.

13. A method of using the cartridge of Claim 1, the method comprising:
providing the cartridge;
breaking the capsule; and
shaking the cartridge.
14. The method of Claim 13, wherein breaking the capsule comprises using a hair treatment device to break the capsule or inserting the capsule into the hair treatment device.
15. A hair treatment system, comprising:
a hair treatment device; and
the cartridge of Claim 1.
