Definitions
- the invention relates to a new caravan configuration developed for pickup vehicles, providing comfort as well as ease of use to the driver.
- the invention relates to a dual-function hood type cover system that increases the caravan bed capacity when opened and can be used as a storage area in closed position on its one side, and a caravan body configuration, which has a locked cabinet designed to accommodate a refrigerator, is equipped with a sunroof covered by awnings on three sides, and which provides a more spacious indoor environment by increasing both circulation and ceiling height, on its other side.
- Caravan is a trailer or motor vehicle, which is suitable for living for a long time protected from any external factors and is equipped with suitable utensils for cooking, sleeping and meeting basic needs inside. They have been developed to offera residential ambient to people wherever they travel. Caravans are divided into two categories as motor caravan and camper trailer. Those which are pulled by a motor vehicle are called camper trailers, while those which are driven by the power of the vehicle over installed are called motor caravan. Today, motor caravans are generally manufactured by mounting on the chassis of commercial vehicles known. While the camper trailers provide comfort for long-term stays, motor caravans serve different purposes in terms of mobility and practicality, and both of them have certain advantages and disadvantages.
- camper trailers are preferred particularly by the people short on time and for short-term uses. Since motor caravans cause expenses such as vehicle inspection, motor vehicle tax, maintenance, etc. as in the regular passenger cars, camper trailers are more preferable. However, the maneuvering difficulty of the camper trailers on narrow roads is a major disadvantage for the driver. Drivers prefer smaller caravans to eliminate this disadvantage and increase the maneuverability of the vehicle.
- camper trailers One of the most important issues with the camper trailers is to provide sufficient comfort due to the fact that they have a smaller structure by volume than motor caravans.
- the attempt is to resent a functional structure by considering the demands of the driver.
- many studies are conducted today and new caravans have been developed.
- One of these studies is the invention that is the subject matter of the utility model no. TR201617702 titled “Two-Vehicle Trailer with Detachable Connection”.
- the vehicle/caravan of the present invention was developed to provide a more practical use by combining the features of the motor caravan with those of the camper trailer.
- the present invention is used for commercial or individual purposes, can be transported by connecting it to the rear of the vehicles by means of trailer coupling and has wheels, and relates to configuration of a caravan containing a main body folded in the form of a trailer, the base positioned onto the main body and an awning positioned into the said main body and on the said base.
- the invention relates to a telescopically expanding caravan, which is structured by an improvement in the beds of trucks. With the invention, it is intended to expand the usage areas of caravans especially used for touristic travel or living spaces such as mobile hospitals and offices.
- extension rails are opened first, thus providing contact with the floor through the support leg from the end. Then the indoor unit can be pulled on the extension rails, reaching an internal volume of twice the current size.
- the invention generally relates to expandable trailers, but also relates to caravans, containers and similar vehicles that can be transported by any means of transportation, expanded at the place where they are transported to, thus providing living spaces.
- the invention can be used in its expandedand unexpanded form for living spaces, mobile hospitals, mobile medical diagnosis and treatment centers, mobile operating rooms, mobile advanced examination centers and other mobile technical support services, or for all kinds of entertainment and touristic purposes.
- the areas of use are not limited to those listed above, but the list extends.further.
- the caravans used today are generally designed for connection to the rear side of passenger cars as camper type.
- the said studies allow for the volume of the caravan to be increased during use, fail to offer sufficient solutions for effective use of its internal volume while the caravan is closed en route and for the practical opening of the configurations added when needed. Consequently, necessity of a caravan bodywork configuration that eliminates disadvantages of the present technique and insufficiency of the existing solutions have made it necessary to make a development in the related technical area.
- the present invention relates to a new bodywork configuration developed for use in pickup vehicles that meet the above-mentioned requirements, eliminate all the disadvantages and bring some additional advantages, providing comfort to the driver with ease of use.
- the aim of the invention is to increase the caravan bed capacity in the open position, while being used as a storage area in the closed position, thanks to a dual-function hood type cover attached to one side of the developed bodywork, and to provide a more spacious indoor area by increasing both the circulation and the ceiling height thanks to the sunroof covered by an awning on its three sides.
- the aim of the invention is to provide a 90 degree mobility by connecting the cover and its components onto the bodywork with hinges and belts.
- Another aim of the invention is to open the door by 90 degrees upwards by connecting the door at the rear of the bodywork with the hinge and closer.
- Another aim of the invention is to provide interior comfort to the vehicle thanks to the support leg attached to the rear lower part of the bodywork.
- Another aim of the invention is to facilitate descending from and climbing to the vehicle by means of a step ladder opened by the window on the back sheet of the bodywork and which can be moved back and forth on its own slide.
- Another aim of the invention is to provide positioning of the refrigerator thanks to the cabinet builtnext to the body, and eliminate the risk of shaking or overturning of the refrigerator due to shaking thanks to the door with lock mechanism attached to this cabinet.
- Another aim of the invention is to ensure that the kitchen system positioned in the bodywork is closed when not in use, thus increasing the internal volume by functioning like a drawer.
- Another aim of the invention is to provide access to the toolbox thanks to the chamber consisting of a frame and cover built in the seat positioned inside the bodywork.
- Another aim of the invention is to ensure that the items are prevented from falling and being damaged due to the vibration and shaking during the travel, as the doors of all the chambers and cabinets built inside the body have lock mechanisms.
- Another aim of the invention is to use the upper side of the cabinet built in the inner right part of the bodywork as a single bed and to use the inner volume of the bodywork effectively by connecting a second bed with the hinges to the cabinet.
- Another aim of the invention is to connect a second bed to the cabinet accommodating the control panels and displays on the bodywork by means of the hinges, and thus to ensure that the bed is folded and paralleled to the cabinet thus not taking up space in the interior when it is not in use.
- Another aim of the invention is to ensure the most efficient use of the interior volume of the bodywork and provide a more spacious living space interiors thanks to folding design of thecompartments such as the kitchen system and the bed, etc, which will not be used at all times.
- Another aim of the invention is to increase the angle of retreat of the vehicle thanks to use of the developed body configuration as a superstructure for the pickup vehicle.
- Another aim of the invention is to provide ease of use so that it can be easily mounted and demounted on the vehiclewhen desired thanks to the design of the body configuration.
- Another aim of the invention is toprevent deterioration of the vehicle's authenticity and allow performance of the assembly process easily and in a shorter time by eliminating the need to make any permanent changes to the original equipment of the vehicle during the assembly, as the body configuration can be mounted on the vehicle without welding, drilling and any similar operations.
- Another aim of the invention is to ensure that the body configuration can be easily removed from the vehicle when desired, so that such configuration can be demounted and seamlessly used in case of any malfunctions with the vehicle.
