Ce procédé d'adaptation de transmission d'image vidéo à la qualité de connexion au réseau Internet est caractérisé en ce que la transmission vers l'utilisateur du réseau Internet de l'image vidéo s'adapte automatiquement sans participation de l'utilisateur à l'état de connexion d'un utilisateur donné au réseau Internet dans des cas de coupure (interférences) et/ou de diminution (augmentation) des capacités de transmission de la connexion au réseau Internet; le procédé se distingue en ce que l'adaptation de l'image vidéo à l'état de connexion au réseau se fait en diminuant (augmentant) la taille de la trame de l'image vidéo à transmettre lors de la coupure (interférences) et/ou de la diminution (augmentation) des capacités de transmission de la connexion au réseau Internet; la diminution de la taille de la trame de l'image vidéo à transmettre se fait jusqu'à la transmission du son uniquement et la coupure complète de la transmission.
