Abstract

Provided is a cassette that can suppress upsizing even though accommodating a laminating tape roll. A cassette 10 having a dual-layer structure is provided with: a printing tape roll (first roll) 26 which is arranged in a first layer L1 and on which a printing tape (first tape) 22 to be printed is wound; and a laminating tape roll (second roll) 64 which is arranged in a second layer L2 and on which a laminating tape (second tape) 60 to be laminated on the printing tape (first tape) 22 is wound. At least a part of the printing tape roll 26 overlaps at least a part of the laminating tape roll 64 in a first direction parallel to a first rotation central line C1 which is the rotation center of the printing tape roll 26. As a result, it is possible to miniaturize the cassette 10 compared with a case in which at least a part of the printing tape roll 26 does not overlap at least a part of the laminating tape roll 64 in the first direction.

Description

The present invention relates to a cassette that is detachably attached to a printing machine.
Conventionally, a cassette equipped with a tape and an ink ribbon for printing on the tape is known. For example, the ink ribbon cartridge described in Patent Document 1 includes a ribbon cartridge and a printing sheet cartridge. The ink ribbon and a winding shaft for winding the ink ribbon are housed in the ribbon cartridge. The print sheet is housed in the print sheet cartridge. The print sheet cartridge is overlaid on top of the ribbon cartridge and integrated with the ribbon cartridge. The ribbon cartridge is provided with a head opening into which the printer head is inserted. A sheet opening through which the printing sheet passes is provided at a position of the printing sheet cartridge opposite to the head opening with respect to the roll of the printing sheet. After being pulled out of the roll, the print sheet is taken out of the print sheet cartridge through the sheet opening. The print sheet then passes around the outer peripheral wall of the print sheet cartridge and passes through the head opening. At the head opening, the print sheet and the ink ribbon are superposed on each other, and printing is performed by the print head of the printer. The ink ribbon used for printing is wound by a take-up shaft in the ribbon cartridge.

As shown in FIG. 16, at least a part of the printing tape spool 24 around which the printing tape 22 is wound, at least a part of the bonding spool 62 around which the bonding tape 60 is wound, and the ink ribbon 68 are wound. At least a part of the supplied spool 70 is arranged along the first straight line SL1 and aligned on the first straight line SL1. Further, as described above, the ribbon case 21 is formed with a concave groove 99, that is, a head opening for accommodating the print head 106 in the mounted state of the cassette 10, and is concave with the take-up spool 76 on which the ink ribbon 68 is wound. The groove 99, that is, the head opening is arranged at a position sandwiching the first straight line SL1, that is, at a position opposite to the first straight line SL1. The second straight line SL2 connecting at least a part of the take-up spool 76 and the first rotation center line C1 which is the rotation center of the printing tape roll (first roll) 26 is formed at a position orthogonal to the first straight line SL1. Will be done. That is, at least a part of the take-up spool 76 and the first rotation center line C1 which is the rotation center of the printing tape roll (first roll) 26 are positioned on the second straight line SL2 orthogonal to the first straight line SL1. Has been done.
In FIG. 16, the first rotation center line C1 of the printing tape roll 26 is an intermediate point of a straight line connecting the second rotation center line C2 of the bonding tape roll 64 and the third rotation center line C3 of the ink ribbon roll 72. Located in the vicinity. The first rotation center line C1 overlaps the bonding tape roll 64 in the front-rear direction and the left-right direction. That is, the center of rotation of the printing tape roll 26 overlaps with the bonding tape roll 64 in the vertical direction. The fourth rotation center line C4 of the take-up spool 76 is located on the opposite side of the concave groove 99 of the first straight line SL1. The distance between the fourth rotation center line C4 and the first center line C1 is shorter than the distance between the third rotation center line C3 and the first center line C1, and the distance between the second rotation center line C2 and the first center line C1 It is shorter than the distance to the line C1.
Further, as shown in FIG. 16, in the front-rear direction and the left-right direction, the center position M which is the center of the cassette 10 in the front-rear direction and the center in the left-right direction and the first rotation center of the printing tape roll 26. The distance between the center line C1 and the center position M is smaller than the distance between the center position M and the second center line C2, which is the center of rotation of the bonded tape roll 64. Further, in the front-rear direction and the left-right direction, the distance between the center position M and the first rotation center line C1 of the printing tape roll 26 is between the center position M and the third rotation center line C3 of the ink ribbon roll 72. It is shorter than the distance between the center position M and the fourth rotation center line C4 of the take-up spool 76. That is, in the front-rear direction and the left-right direction, the first rotation center line C1 is arranged at a position closer to the center of the cassette 10 than any of the second rotation center lines C2 to the fourth rotation center line C4.
FIG. 17 is a sectional view taken along line XVII-XVII of FIG. In the vertical direction, the distance D between one side (lower side) end of the printing tape roll 26 in the vertical direction and the other side (upper side) end of the bonding tape roll 64 in the vertical direction is the bonding tape roll. It is smaller than the length in one direction of 64 (width dimension W1 of the bonding tape 60). Since the printing tape 22 and the bonding tape 60 have the same width dimension, the distance D is smaller than the width dimension of the printing tape roll 26.
Then, in the front-rear direction orthogonal to the vertical direction and the left-right direction orthogonal to the vertical direction and the front-rear direction, the center of rotation of the printing tape roll 26 from the center position M which is the center of the cassette 10 in the front-rear direction and the center in the left-right direction. The distance to the first rotation center line C1 is smaller than the distance from the center position M to the second rotation center line C2, which is the rotation center of the bonded tape roll 64. The diameter of the printing tape roll 26 is larger than the diameter of the bonding tape roll 64. The size (area) of the convex envelope (line) H formed by tangentially connecting the outer peripheral circles of the supply spool 70 around which the printing tape roll 26, the take-up spool 76, and the ink ribbon 68 are wound is in the vertical direction. It is set to be larger than half the area of the tape case 20 and the ribbon case 21 in the plane including the front-rear direction and the left-right direction orthogonal to the tape case 20.

The take-up spool drive shaft 108 and the roller drive shaft 110 are rotationally driven in the same direction via a gear mechanism by a step motor (not shown). A head holding plate 114 to which a thermal print head (thermal print head) 106 is fixed is erected on the bottom surface of the positioning hole 112 of the cassette mounting portion 104, and the platen roller 116 and the pressing roller 118 rotate. A platen holding member 120 provided at the tip end portion is rotatably provided around the base end portion thereof. The head holding plate 114 is, for example, a metal plate made of aluminum, which also serves as a heat sink for the print head.
