Description

A FRAMEWORK CASE STRUCTURE FOR SITTING GROUPS UPHOLSTERED WITH SPONGE DURING PRODUCTION, MADE OF PLASTIC BASED
MATERIAL
Technical Field
The invention is related to sitting groups comprising an internal framework and a case structure, to be used indoors such as home and office.
The invention is related to a framework structure where the armrest and back outer surfaces of the framework structure comprising plastic material are upholstered with sponge material.
Prior Art
Single, double and triple sofas are produced in different colors, patterns and designs, where the main framework structures currently contain wooden materials. Framework structure containing wooden material has a substantial negative impact in terms of forest and environmental protection. On the other hand, processing, cutting, modeling and upholstering the wooden material with sponge involves a considerable amount of workmanship and production process.
A utility model application has been made by Mr. Ismail CEYLAN dated 02.01.2018 no. TR201800034 in order to eliminate the wooden material used in the framework structure of the seating groups in a high rate. In the summary page of the application; "A main framework made of plastic based material intended to be used in seating groups with armrest and back supports, wherein; multiple back supports with modular structure made of plastic formed by positioning multiple of them along the y-axis, armrest formed in the same mold with back supports, with modular structure made of plastic formed by positioning multiple of them along the x-axis, corner struts arranged on the z-axis which is the connection area between the back supports and armrest, or with monolithic structure and lower cases with modular structure, adopted to the front surface of the mentioned armrests and back supports" is mentioned. The framework structure of the product presented in application no. TR201800034 completely consists of plastic material. With the product presented in this application, a high level of labor is saved and production costs are reduced to a minimum level. However, an upholseting operation with sponge is conducted in a next operation. After the operation of upholstering with sponge, the products are shipped to seat manifacturer companies.
The operation of upholstering with sponge requires a substantial level of work process and workmanship, especially for seating groups whose framework structure is wooden. As is known, sponge material is a valuable and costly material. Especially the operation of upholstering the structure containing wooden framework with sponge consists of high proportion of sponge waste and sponge loss. This results in raw material losses and therefore higher higher costs.
In the state of the art, there are glue costs related to the upholstering with sponge and gluing along with it. In addition, there are labour costs related to stapling operations and costs associated with staples.
Disclosure of Invention
The purpose of the invention is to provide a framework structure coprising different techniques which brings a new aspect to this area, in comparison with the seating group framework structure used in the state of the art.
The most important purpose of the invention is to directly upholster the parts that constitute the seating group while the framework structure comprising plastic material is in the production phase. Thus, in a single operation, the appearance of a sponge upholstered framework structure is obtained.
Another important purpose of the invention is to establish a structure in which the labour and production processes are reduced to a minimum level without the need for a second labour and a second sponge upholstering operation as a result of the direct sponge upholstering of the framework structure while it is in the production stage.
Another important purpose of the invention is to eliminate the waste of the sponge by upholstering the framework structure directly with sponge while it is in the production stage. It is to ensure that only a required amount of sponge is used. Therefore, it is to provide a more feasible product where the costs are lowered for seat manufacturing compaines.
The most important purpose of the invention is to obtain zero sponge waste as a result of directly upholstering the framework structure with sponge while it is in the production stage. It is the elimination of sponge consumption and use of only a sufficient amount of sponge. Thus, it is to prevent waste in the use of raw materials and provide economic income in the country and operating expenses.
Another purpose of the invention is to reduce the use and waste of wooden material from the environment to a minimum level by means of a seating group framework structure made of plastic and plastic based materials.
Another purpose of the invention is to achieve fast and high quality production by means of a sponge upholstered seating group framework structure made of plastic and plastic based materials
Another purpose of the invention is the use of sponge-upholstered plastic-based materials that are recyclable.
A purpose of the invention is to reduce the manpower used in labor and to produce higher quantities with fewer personnel.
A purpose of the invention is to ensure that the parts that make up the framework structure is made with a single mold and thereby achieving harmonious assembly by means of fully compatible parts.

Detailed Description of the Invention
The invention provides a main framework (100) made of plastic based material intended to be used in single, double and triple seating groups. In terms of its novelty, the invention comprises a sponge layer (200) which is upholstered onto the armrest (102) in a same molding station or a different molding station after the molding operation of the mentioned armrest (102) is completed and armrests (102) upholstered with a sponge layer (200) on the entirety or a part of their outer surfaces.
It comprises corner struts (14) positioned at the corner area between the mentioned armrest (102) and the back support and male protrusions (1031 ) and female indentations (1032) which together ensure securing the mentioned lower cases (103) with each other. Furthermore, it comprises border regions (201 ) which identify the borders of the sponge upholstering on the outer surface of the armrest (102) in order to prevent unnecessary spending of the sponge material.
In Figures 1 , 2 and 3, single, double and triple seats with armrest (102) and back support upholstered directly with sponge material during the production phase are illustrated. The armrest (102) and the back support are essentially consist of the same part. In other words, a framework structure is established where a combination is established by using a single piece as both the armrest (102) and the back support. In addition, a single piece is manufactured in the lower case (103) and the same part is used in double and triple uses. Thereby, as a result of producing the armrest (102) and the lower case (103) by means of plastic injection or blowing technique for forming the seating group, the entire seating group is formed with these two parts. During the molding phase, especially after the molding phase of the armrest (102) is completed, sponge upholstering operation is performed at the same molding station without removing from the mold. In other words, without the additional requirement of sponge cutting, sponge gluing and labor for sponge upholstering operation, the outter layer of the armrest (102) can be upholstered direct with sponge layer (200). Thus, both the armrest (102) and sponge upholstering are completed in one operation.
In the main framework (100) structure, male protrusions (1031 ) and female indentations (1032) are used. However, it is possible to use different fitting systems and fastening techniques without the need to use male-female structures.
The method process steps for establishing the said sponge upholstering technique are as follows:
production of armrest using blow molding technology or plastic injection molding,
removal of the produced main framework structure from the mold, positioning of the armrest at the sponge upholstering station, which is then the other station,
determination of sponge upholstering limits (to prevent unnecessary consumption) on the armrest in the first place at the sponge upholstering station,
later, the limits determined by injecting the sponge raw material into the mold include the process steps of obtaining the desired sponge form internally.
