Background and prior art if any
Drive systems and method of present day transport vehicles are taken as prior art as they are approximately related to this invention. Prior art road transport vehicles are classified as 1 ) two. wheelers presently called as motor bikes and scooters, 2) three wheelers presently called as auto rickshaws 3) four wheelers presently called as cars and sport-utility vehicle (SUV) 4) multi wheelers called as buses, lorries and goods transport vehicles.
Drive system types for Road transport vehicles are classified as 1 ) Engine driven power transmission system 2) Battery driven electro drive system.
Engine driven power transmission system utilises power. generated by engine to drive the wheels of the vehicles by means of ‘power transmission method . Battery driven electro drive system utilises power stored in the batteries to drive the wheels of the vehicle by means of the motor method. Problems of prior art and improvements over prior art
Main improvement to do over prior art is to improve the fuel efficiency. Various methods have been used to improve the fuel efficiency in prior art vehicles. Number of designs have been evolved to improve the fuel efficiency at high speed and at low speed; still there is need to improve further. This invention provides improved solution to improve the fuel efficiency as described in the brief.
Further problem is that battery driven electro drive system has to carry weight of battery along the drive, consumes huge energy to carry the battery along the vehicle. Also problem of battery driven electro drive system has to be charged frequently. One of the important problems of battery driven electro drive system needs replacement of batteries that is expensive. Serious problem in battery driven system is that battery fails unexpectedly. Battery driven prior art electro vehicle has limitation of speed and it is also due to loaded heavy weight of batteries resulting more consumption of energy.
Improvement to do on prior art fuel engine is to reduce number of components to simplify the maintenance. Further problem is that reciprocating power transmission engine consumes more fuel at higher speed because it has to burn more fuel in the chamber proportional to the RPM of the vehicle. At lower speed fuel efficiency/mileage is too low in respect of auto-mobile engines.
This invention resolves the problems listed in above prior art road transport vehicles.
Objects of the invention
Main object of this invention is to improve the fuel efficiency.
Further object is to reduce weight of the vehicle to save energy.
Also object is to eliminate need of frequent charging of battery without losing fuel efficiency.
Another object of the invention is to reduce number of components of drive system to simplify the maintenance. Further object is that maintaining the energy requirement almost uniformly at low RPM or at higher RPM (rotations per minute).
Object is to make the engine speed independent of the speed of the vehicle.
Object is to reduce weight of the vehicle by eliminating gear system and power transmission equipment. Another object is reducing the number of rotating components there by reducing the mechanical power transmission losses there by to reduce vehicle cost and maintenance cost.
Object is to make use of the solar energy as drive source without using heavy battery bank. Object is avoiding the need to go frequently for charging centre.
Another object is ability of Vehicle for long distance drive on solar power when vehicle is exposed in sunlight.
Solution to the problems by the invention
The present invention 'Fuel engine-electro drive system and method for road transport vehicles’ provides generation of driving force mechanism for road transport vehicles. The method of this invention provides generation of driving force mechanism for road transport vehicles by following the steps comprising
1 )Generation of AC and/or DC power by fuel engine and/or solar power to drive AC motor and/or DC motor and/or BLDC motor
2) Powered AC motor and/or DC motor and/or BLDC motor drives/rotates wheels of the vehicle.
Main object of this invention fuel efficiency is achieved by motor drive mechanism.
Further object of reducing weight of the vehicle is achieved as engine is used for electric power generation there by heavy engines and heavy battery not necessary.
Drive is independent of battery power source there by frequent charging of battery is not required.
No problem of sudden falling of drive battery voltage because it is not depending on battery source for driving vehicle because wheels are driven by motor. In the invention small capacity battery is used for starting the engine and for DC float to operate motor to drive the wheels. This invention is not Automobile drive system, hence problems of automobile drive system listed above are eliminated. This invention is not battery driven drive system, hence problems of battery drive system listed above are eliminated.
