Abstract
Conventional dentures often become loose or fall off when mounted to gums. Implant dentures are intended to overcome the above-described disadvantage. Compared to conventional dentures, implant dentures have the advantage of being less susceptible to loosening and being fixed. However, implant dentures have a complicated structure, implanting an implant takes a long time, and the implanting process is complicated. Moreover, implant dentures require a considerable amount of effort to maintain even after being mounted. In addition, since the pressure generated when chewing food is directly transmitted to a small number of implants that support the dentures, the implants or dentures can be damaged. In order to overcome the disadvantages of implant dentures, a magnetic denture-fixing device of the present invention uses the mutually attracting force between magnets as a method for fixing dentures to the gums. That is, the mutually attracting force generated between two magnets when one magnet is implanted in the alveolar bone and the other is inserted into the dentures is used to fix the dentures to the gums.
