A SMART PUMPING UNIT THAT CAN ADJUST ITS RPM AND SPEED AUTOMATICAUUY ACCORDING TO DESIRED FUOW RATE
Technical Field
This invention is about a smart pumping unit that smart pumping unit transferring the fuel is taken inside motor pump body and the pump is coupled and that can control its rpm and speed automatically and according to desired flow rate as a result of controlling of motor by electronic card inside the junction part of the body.
State of Art
Pumping units are being used in a widespread manner for fuel transfers in today’s technology. Motors that are used inside pumping units that are being used in the market, are always directly reaching its full speed rotating capacity during transfers which increases energy consumption. Besides they cause increased amount of cavitation and harm internal parts of pumping unit.
Pumping units that are currently being used in the market has motors outside the pump body which increases costs because motors are installed separately and belt and pulley elements are added between pump and motor. Loosening and stretching occurs at belt- pulley system when belt and pulley is used for extended period of time. Stretching causes inefficient operation of belt-pulley system. An additional adjustment is needed for geographical locations that statims are built and since this operation is performed manually with observations, trial and error method it can not make completely.
Because of abrupt start and halts of the motor, suddenly increasing force against liquid occurs which is called water hammer and pressure variations stemming from this force harms the sensitivity of the metre measuring liquid flow. This phenomenon affects the measurement. Abruprt start-ups of the motor also causes voice and vibration.
Consequently, it is obvious that a design or product that has important advantages against current technologies and increasing life-span of centrifugal pump, operating without vibration or cavitation, decreasing maintenance costs, being able to save energy according to weather conditions and infrastructure system of the station and enabling ease of use.
Technical Problems that the Invention Aims to Solve
The invention which is about a smart pumping unit that smart pumping unit transferring the fuel is taken inside motor pump body and the pump is coupled and that can control its rpm and speed automatically and according to desired flow rate as a result of controlling of motor by electronic card inside the junction part of the body, completely overcomes the above mentioned disadvatages and its features are; motor and pump are integrated on a single body in a coupled form, belt and pulley mechanism between motor and pump becomes unnecessary and they are removed, direct connection between motor shaft and pump shaft is ensure and torque transmission is realized with enabling them to operate with the same shaft, motor is controlled by an electronic card inside junction, it enables air separation and air separation according to flow an speed and it transmits force from motor section to pump section directly.
Thanks to the coupled motor that is within the body, need for belt and pulley elements is removed. The plate connection motor on the pump is also removed for coupled body. Removal of belt and pulley elements provides easy installation. At the same time
production cost is decreased, need for maintenance is removed and operation efficiency is increased.
Thanks to the electronic card, motor is automatically adjusted for speed and according to geographical location of the station. This adjustment process can be kept continuously in the same standard electronically. Energy is saved since motor speed can be adjusted according to geographical characteristics of the location of station and seasonal weather conditions. Operation efficiency is increased by changing motor rotation speed according to ambient temperature.
Periodical increase and decrease of motor speed instead of abrupt start-up of the motor prevents water hammer. It also minimizes cavitation and protects internal parts. These conditions extend life-span and desired effect is obtained in optimum conditions since adjustments are done automatically. Vertical filter placement prevents spill of fuel during maintenance and repair.
Since there is no belt and human factor for replacing those belts is no longer needed, possible risks of work accidents (hand squeeze etc.) are removed. Since there is no belt, the need for belt tightness when tight is used is also removed. If it is too tight it would give harm to inner parts because of situations like friction and if it is not tight as needed inner parts would fulfil their duties and both situations is prevented.
Situation of not having a belt prevents the possibility of exceeding maximum temperature and tearing of belt.
It is a smart centrifugal pump that can provide service when a vehicle needs high flow rate to make it possible to shift from normal efficiency to higher efficiency with
pressing a button.

Description of the Invention
In the smart pumping unit that can adjust its rpm and speed according to the desired flow rate; stator(12), motor magnets(14), motor housing(15), motor housing cover and multipole magnet(13) creates torque (Brushless Dc Motor) and this torque power is transmitted to star gear pump section which includes inner star gear(20), outer star gear(21) and housing (22) via motor shaft (18) and motor shaft pin.
With transmitting, torque power rotates inner star gear (20) and outer star gear(21) also starts a rotational movement and pressure difference occurs as a result of increase and decrease in the volume of the space between two gears and creates a vacuum effect and it withdraws the fuel in the fuel tank, fuel is filtered by passing through filtre section(8- 9-10-11) and it provides vacuum at star gear pump section(5-20-21-22-23-24-25-26). Fuel is pressurized and directed to the air separation section(32-33-34-35) which consists of air separator(34) and air separation is realized at best conditions according to liquid flow rate with the help of the spring(33) that is inside air separator body(32) and it comes to check valve section(6-28-29) that is opened at a certain pressure, opens check valve(29) and enables fuel transmission from outlet line to vehicle tank and fuel is formed according to the desired fuel flow rate and station conditions. Desired conditions can be adjusted by controlling of motor spreed by electronic card(37) with programming of electronic card(37)
If pressure exceed preset level or flow pressure is not at the level to open check valve(29) during fuel transmission or when pump continues to work after fuel transmission ends, fuel goes to pressure control line and opens pressure control valve(31) and then it comes back to stara gear pump section (5-20-21-22-23-24-25-26) and enables pressure control by providing circulation of the fuel inside the pump.

In the smart pumping unit that can adjust its rpm and speed according to the desired flow rate, with vectoral control. Secondarily, speed adjustment can be done by current control that reaches to Brushless DC motor via electronic card(37). Electronic card(37) can communicate with fuel flow rate-meter within the system. It can control the speed of Brushless DC motor according to fuel flow rate with help of current. These actions are controlled by electronic card(37) and elektronic card(37) can run these actions at the same time, in order or individually. All actions can be run at the same time or only one action can be run each time.
In the smart pumping unit that can adjust its rpm and speed according to the desired flow rate; using Brushless DC motor decreases total volume and weight of the system. Using Brushless DC motor, torque values are increased. When using Brushless DC motor system, phase protection layout exists in electrical diagrams. Phase protection guarantees the system against fluctuations in electric network and over loadings.
Removing belt pulley system from the system and designing shaft to go out, prevents leakages as a result of breakdown of sealing elements of the shaft.
The system contains no bypass valves except the security valve and problems with using bypass which can fail and get scum in time because of its spring mechanism.
Claims
1- This invention is about fuel pumping unit and its features are; - Thanks to integrated Brushless DC Motor and pump to a single body in a coupled way; there remains no need to have the belt and pulley mechanism and the plate that connects the motor onto the pump is removed, direct connection between motor shaft and pump shaft or operating them with the same shaft is enabled in order to transfer torque and leakage risk from seals is prevented thanks to directly using shaft and controlling motor with an electronic card inside the junction, air separation according to flow rate and speed with air separator and transmitting the force directly from motor section to pump section.
- It includes electronic card(37) that can communicate with measuring tools like fuel flow rate-meter that can save energy by controlling the current that is sent to the motor, adjusting motor speed according to infrastructure system and weather conditions and can adjust motor speed according to ambient temperature and weather conditions by processing communication information it receives.
