한편, 최근에는 아조벤젠 액정 고분자를 이용하여 지능형 복합재 작동기를 설계하려는 다양한 연구들이 진행되고 있다.
아조벤젠은 2개의 벤젠고리가 질소-질소 이중결합에 의해 연결된 구조로 광에 의해 2가지 다른 기하학적 형태로 상호 전환되는 독특한 성질을 가지고 있다. 아조벤젠의 질소-질소 이중결합을 기준으로 양쪽에 연결된 벤젠 고리는 자유롭게 회전하는 단일 결합에 의해 연결되어 있다.
질소-질소 이중결합 양 끝단의 벤젠 고리가 같은 방향에 위치하면 시스 형태라고 하고, 서로 다른 방향에 위치하면 트랜스 형태라고 한다. 아조벤젠은 자외선을 받으며 트랜스 형태에서 시스 형태로 변화되며, 가시광선을 받으며 시스 형태에서 트랜스 형태로 분자 구조가 변화되는 광 이성질화 반응을 한다.
아조벤젠 액정 고분자는 아조벤젠 또는 아조벤젠 유도체(이하, "아조벤젠"이라 함)를 포함하는 아조벤젠 기반의 액정 고분자로서, 아조벤젠의 광에 의한 이성질화 반응에 의한 광반응 거동 특성을 갖는다. 아조벤젠이 트랜스 형태를 갖고 있는 액정 고분자가 자외선을 받으면 아조벤젠이 이성질화 반응을 일으켜 이웃한 액정 고분자의 네마틱-등방성 상전이 특성을 유도하고, 이에 따라 고분자 소재가 광을 받는 방향으로 굽혀지는 굽힘 변형이 발생한다. 또한, 이러한 아조벤젠 액정 고분자의 광 반응성 변형은 가역 반응으로 가시광선을 받으면 원래의 형태로 복귀하는 것으로 알려져 있다.
최근에 이러한 아조벤젠 액정 고분자의 광반응 변형 특성을 이용하여 광반응 액추에이터 등의 작동기를 제작하려는 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있는 데, 아조벤젠 액정 고분자의 이러한 광 변형 특성을 이용하기 위해서는 배향을 통해 광 변형 향성을 결정하는 것이 필요하다.
본 발명은 아조벤젠 액정 고분자의 시스-트랜스 변환을 이용하여 굽힘 변형이 제어 가능한 광반응 변형 구조체 및 이의 구동 방법을 제공하는 것을 목적으로 한다.
그리고, 본 발명은 광 조사에 의해서 이동, 보행, 오름, 내림 등이 가능한 광반응 변형 구조체 및 이의 구동 방법을 제공하는 것을 목적으로 한다.
그러나 이러한 과제는 예시적인 것으로, 이에 의해 본 발명의 범위가 한정되는 것은 아니다.
상기 과제를 해결하기 위한 본 발명의 일 관점에 따르면, 광 조사에 의하여 굽힘 변형을 일으키는 적어도 하나의 고분자 필름을 포함하는 제1 바디부; 광 조사에 의하여 굽힘 변형을 일으키는 적어도 하나의 고분자 필름을 포함하는 제2 바디부; 및 제1 바디부와 제2 바디부의 연결을 매개하는 연결부를 포함하고, 제1 바 디부와 제2 바디부의 지면에 접촉하는 일단부에는 접착 지지부가 형성되는, 광반응 변형 구조체가 제공된다.
또한, 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따르면, 제1 바디부는 광 조사에 의하여 굽힘 변형을 일으키는 제1-1 고분자 필름 및 제1-2 고분자 필름을 포함하고, 제2 바디부는 광 조사에 의하여 굽힘 변형을 일으키는 제2-1 고분자 필름 및 제2-2 고분자 필름을 포함할 수 있다.
또한, 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따르면, 제1-1 고분자 필름과 제1-2 고분자 필름 사이에 제1 구속부가 형성되고, 제2-1 고분자 필름과 제2-2 고분자 필름 사이에 제2 구속부가 형성될 수 있다.
또한, 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따르면, 고분자 필름은, 고분자 스캐폴드(scaffold) 필름; 고분자 스캐폴드 필름의 표면에 침지되어 코팅된 아조벤젠 액정 고분자; 및 코팅된 상기 아조벤젠 액정 고분자의 표면에 부착된 보호 필름을 포함할 수 있다.
또한, 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따르면, 접착 지지부와 지면과의 접착력은 광 조사에 의하여 고분자 필름이 굽힘 변형을 일으키는 힘보다 적을 수 있다.
또한, 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따르면, 연결부는 제1 바디부와 제2 바디부의 타단부를 상호 연결하고, 제1 바디부와 제2 바디부가 굽힘 또는 꺾임 변형이 가능하도록 관절로 작용할 수 있다.
또한, 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따르면, 제1 바디부와 제2 바디부는 복수일 수 있다.

또한, 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따르면, 제1 바디부는 광 조사에 의하여 굽힘 변형을 일으키는 제1-1 고분자 필름 및 제1-2 고분자 필름을 포함하고, 제2 바디부는 광 조사에 의하여 굽힘 변형을 일으키는 제2-1 고분자 필름 및 제2-2 고분자 필름을 포함하며, 제1-1 고분자 필름과 제1-2 고분자 필름 사이에 제1 구속부가 형성되고, 제2-1 고분자 필름과 제2-2 고분자 필름 사이에 제2 구속부가 형성될 수 있다.

상기한 바와 같이 이루어진 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따르면, 아조벤젠 액정 고분자의 시스-트랜스 변환을 이용하여 굽힘 변형이 제어 가능한 광반응 변형 구조체 및 이의 구동 방법을 구현할 수 있다.
그리고, 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따르면, 광 조사에 의해서 이동, 보행, 오름, 내림 등이 가능한 효과가 있다.
그리고, 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따르면, 광반응 자가 변형 구조체는 열 반응 없이 특정 파장대의 빛을 통해 그 반응이 일어나며, 가역 반응이기 때문에 반복거동이 가능하여 일정한 운동을 지속적으로 반복 가능한 효과가 있다.
그리고, 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따르면, 광반응이 가능하므로, 투명한 케이스나 물속에 있을 때에도 같은 운동을 반복할 수 있기 때문에 여러 환경에서 구동할 수 있는 효과가 있다.
또한, 동작에 필요한 입력은 빛으로써 친환경적인 작동을 할 수 있고, 사용자가 지정한 광 조사 위치와 세기, 시간에 따라 능동적인 제어가 가능한 효과가 있다.
물론 이러한 효과에 의해 본 발명의 범위가 한정되는 것은 아니다.

도 1을 참조하면, 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 광반응 변형 구조체(100)는 제1 바디부(200), 제2 바디부(300) 및 연결부(400)를 포함할 수 있다. 그리고, 제1 바디부(200)와 제2 바디부(300)의 지면에 접촉하는 일단부(하단부)에는 접착 지지부(500, 600)가 형성될 수 있다.
제1 바디부(200)는 광반응 변형 구조체(100)의 앞 부분에 대응할 수 있다. 제1 바디부(200)는 광반응 변형 구조체(100)가 이동하는데 있어서, 앞 발과 같이 작용할 수 있다.
제1 바디부(200)는 광 조사에 의하여 굽힘 변형을 일으킬 수 있는 적어도 하나의 고분자 필름(210, 230)을 포함할 수 있다. 본 명세서에서는 제1 바디부(200)가 제1-1 고분자 필름(210), 제1-2 고분자 필름(230)을 포함하는 것으로 상정하여 설명하나, 제1 바디부(200)는 하나의 길다란 고분자 필름만을 포함한 형태일 수도 있다.
고분자 필름(10)은 광 조사에 의하여 굽힘 변형을 일으킬 수 있다. 더욱 구체적으로, 고분자 필름(10)은 아조벤젠 액정 고분자의 시스-트랜스 변환을 이용하여 굽힘 변형이 제어 가능하며, 열 반응 없이 특정 파장대의 빛을 통하여 굽힘 변형을 일으킬 수 있다. 제1-1 고분자 필름(210), 제1-2 고분자 필름(230), 제2-1 고분자 필름(310), 제2-2 고분자 필름(330) 등은 고분자 필름(10)과 동일한 구성을 가질 수 있다.
고분자 필름(10)의 굽힘 변형은 가역 반응이기 때문에 반복거동이 가능하여 일정한 운동을 지속적으로 반복 가능할 수 있으며, 투명한 케이스나 물속에 있을 때에도 같은 운동을 반복할 수 있기 때문에 여러 환경에서 구동할 수 있는 효과가 있다.
도 2는 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 광반응 특성을 가지는 고분자 필름(10)을 나타내는 개략도이다.
도 2에 도시된 바와 같이, 고분자 필름(10)은 고분자 스캐폴드(scaffold) 필름(11), 고분자 스캐폴드 필름(11)의 표면에 침지되어 코팅된 아조벤젠 액정 고분자(12) 및 코팅된 아조벤젠 액정 고분자(12)의 표면에 부착된 보호 필름(13)을 포함할 수 있다.
구체적으로, 고분자 스캐폴드 필름(11)은 필름 형태로 제조된 고분자 스캐폴드이다. 고분자 스캐폴드 필름(11)은 Poly Lactic Acid(PLA), Poly(Lactic-Co-Glycolic acid) (PLGA), Poly(DiMethylSiloxane) (PDMS), Polycaprolactone (PCL) 등을 포함하여 다양한 소재가 사용될 수 있다.
고분자 스캐폴드는 예를 들면, 전기방사(electrospinning) 공정에 의해 마이크로미터 또는 나노미터 급의 직경을 갖는 고분자 섬유를 집진판에 방출하여 제조된 리본 또는 그물망 형태 구조를 갖도록 제작된 2차원 직조물이다. 그러나, 본 발명에 따른 고분자 스캐폴드 필름(11)은 구체적인 가공방법이나 미세 구조에 의해 제한되지 않는다. 고분자 스캐폴드는 예컨대 마이크로미터 급의 다공 패턴을 갖는 고분자 기자재를 구성하기 위한 마이크로몰딩(micromolding) 공정 및 스핀코팅(spincoating) 공정, 실린지에 젤 상태의 고분자를 넣어 그 끝단의 마이크로 니들로 2차원 패턴을 그리는 microsyringe deposition method 공정을 통해 제작될 수 있다.
아조벤젠 액정 고분자(12)는 고분자 스캐폴드 필름(11) 내의 패턴 내로 침투하면서 침지되어 코팅될 수 있다.
더욱 구체적으로, 아조벤젠 액정 고분자(12)는 아조벤젠 또는 아조벤젠 유도체를 포함하는 아조벤젠 기반의 액정 고분자로서, 아조벤젠의 광에 의한 이성질화 반응에 의한 광반응 거동 특성을 갖는다.
아조벤젠은 2개의 벤젠고리가 질소-질소 이중결합에 의해 연결된 구조로 광에 의해 2가지 다른 기하학적 형태로 상호 전환되는 독특한 성질을 가지고 있다. 아조벤젠의 질소-질소 이중결합을 기준으로 양쪽에 연결된 벤젠 고리는 자유롭게 회전하는 단일 결합에 의해 연결되어 있다. 질소-질소 이중결합 양 끝단의 벤젠 고리가 같은 방향에 위치하면 시스 형태라고 하고, 서로 다른 방향에 위치하면 트랜스 형태라고 한다. 아조벤젠은 자외선을 받으며 트랜스 형태에서 시스 형태로 변화되며, 가시광선을 받으며 시스 형태에서 트랜스 형태로 분자 구조가 변화되는 광 이성질화 반응을 한다.
즉, 아조벤젠이 트랜스 형태를 갖고 있는 액정 고분자가 자외선을 받으면 아조벤젠이 이성질화 반응을 일으켜 이웃한 액정 고분자의 네마틱-등방성 상전이 특성을 유도하고, 이에 따라 고분자 소재가 광을 받는 방향으로 굽혀지는 굽힘 변형이 발생하고, 아조벤젠 액정 고분자의 광 반응성 변형은 가역 반응으로 가시광선을 받으면 원래의 형태로 변형이 발생할 수 있다.
보호 필름(13)은 코팅된 아조벤젠 액정 고분자(12)의 표면에 부착될 수 있다. 보호 필름(13)은 고분자 필름(10)이 높은 장력에서도 파단이 일어나지 않도록 지지하며, 고분자 필름(10)의 굽힘 변형을 저해하지 않는 유연한 소재가 사용될 수 있다.
이와 같이 제조된 고분자 필름(10)은 굽힘이 필요한 곳에 자외선 레이저나 자외선 LED를 이용하여 자외선을 조사하면, 자외선을 받는 표면이 국부적으로 수축하여 고분자 필름 전체에 굽힘 변형이 일어나게 된다.
굽힘 변형의 방향은 광의 조사 방향에 따라 고분자 필름의 상면 또는 하면이 될 수 있지만, 본 발명에 따르면 고분자 필름의 이러한 변형 특성이 고분자 스캐폴드 필름(11)에 코팅된 아조벤젠 액정 고분자(12)에서 아조벤젠 분자의 배향 방향과 무관하다. 즉, 본 발명에 따르면, 아조벤젠 액정 고분자(12)는 고분자 스캐폴드 필름(11)에 코팅되는 것 외에 별도의 배향을 필요로 하지 않는다.
제1 구속부(250)는 제1-1 고분자 필름(210)과 제1-2 고분자 필름(230)이 연결될 수 있도록 제1-1 고분자 필름(210)과 제1-2 고분자 필름(230) 사이에 형성될 수 있다.
제1 구속부(250)는 제1-1 고분자 필름(210) 및 제1-2 고분자 필름(230)이 서로 다른 방향 또는 같은 방향으로 다중 굽힘 거동을 구사할 수 있도록, 제1-1 고분자 필름(210)과 제1-2 고분자 필름(230)을 연결하도록 형성될 수 있다. 제1 구속부는 빛이 투과되지 않는 테이프로 형성될 수 있다.
예컨대, 제1 구속부(250)의 일측에는 제1-1 고분자 필름(210)이 형성되고, 타측에는 제1-2 고분자 필름(230)이 형성되어 제1-1 고분자 필름(210)에 광이 조사될 경우 제1-2 고분자 필름(230)에는 광이 전달되지 않아 제1-1 고분자 필름(210)에만 굽힘 변형을 일으킬 수 있으며, 제1-2 고분자 필름(230)에 광이 조사될 경우 제1-1 고분자 필름(210)에는 광이 전달되지 않아 제1-2 고분자 필름(230)에만 굽힘 변형을 일으킬 수 있다.
한편, 제1-1 고분자 필름(210) 및 제1-2 고분자 필름(230)는 일체로 형성된 길다란 고분자 필름일 수 있으며, 빛이 투과되지 않는 테이프로 형성된 제1 구속부(250)가 중간에 부착되어 제1-1 고분자 필름(210) 및 제1-2 고분자 필름(230)을 구분시킴으로써, 하부에 형성된 제1-1 고분자 필름(210)과 상부에 형성된 제1-2 고분자 필름(230)이 각각 개별로 반응하게 할 수 있다.
제2 바디부(300)는 광반응 변형 구조체(100)의 뒷 부분에 대응할 수 있다. 제2 바디부(200)는 광반응 변형 구조체(100)가 이동하는데 있어서, 뒷 발과 같이 작용할 수 있다.
제2 바디부(300)는 광 조사에 의하여 굽힘 변형을 일으킬 수 있는 적어도 하나의 고분자 필름(310, 330)을 포함할 수 있다. 본 명세서에서는 제2 바디부(300)가 제2-1 고분자 필름(310), 제2-2 고분자 필름(330)을 포함하는 것으로 상정하여 설명하나, 제2 바디부(300)는 하나의 길다란 고분자 필름만을 포함한 형태일 수도 있다.
제2 구속부(350)는 제2-1 고분자 필름(310)과 제2-2 고분자 필름(330)이 연결될 수 있도록 제2-1 고분자 필름(310)과 제2-2 고분자 필름(330) 사이에 형성될 수 있다.
이하, 제2 바디부(300)의 구성은 제1 바디부(200)와 동일하므로, 구체적인 설명은 생략한다.
연결부(400)는 적어도 하나의 제1 바디부(200)와 적어도 하나의 제2 바디부(300)를 연결할 수 있다. 도 1에는 연결부(400)가 하나의 제1 바디부(200)와 하나의 제2 바디부(300)를 연결한 형태를 도시하고, 도 9는 연결부(400)가 두개의 제1 바디부(200)와 두개의 제2 바디부(300)를 연결한 형태를 도시한다. 연결부(400)에 연결되는 제1 바디부(200)와 제2 바디부(300)의 개수는 구현하고자 하는 구조체의 특성에 따라 적절히 변형될 수 있고, 제1 바디부(200)와 제2 바디부(300)의 개수를 서로 상이하게 구성할 수도 있다. 예를 들어, 좁은 통로를 빠르게 이동시키기 위해서는 도 1과 같이 제1 바디부(200)와 제2 바디부(300)를 각각 하나씩 배치하여 두 개의 발을 가진 광반응 변형 구조체(100)를 구현할 수 있다. 또, 예를 들어, 이동에 안정성을 높이기 위해서는 도 9와 같이 제1 바디부(200)와 제2 바디부(300)를 각각 두개씩 배치하여 네 개의 발을 가진 광반응 변형 구조체(100')를 구현할 수 있다. 또, 예를 들어, 두 개의 제1 바디부(200)와 하나의 제2 바디부(300)를 배치하여 광반응 변형 구조체(100)를 구현할 수도 있다.
연결부(400)는 제1 바디부(200)와 제2 바디부(300)의 타단부(상단부)를 상호 연결함과 동시에, 제1 바디부(200)와 제2 바디부(300)가 굽힘, 꺾임 등의 변형이 가능하게 하는 관절로 작용할 수 있다. 이를 위해, 연결부(400)는 유연성 있는 고분자 재질, 테이프, 기타 힌지 수단 등을 제한없이 채용할 수 있다.
접착 지지부(500, 600)는 각각 제1 바디부(200), 제2 바디부(300)의 일단부(하단부)에 형성될 수 있다. 접착 지지부(500, 600)는 제1 바디부(200), 제2 바디부(300)가 지면(20)[도 3 참조]에 접착되거나 마찰력을 가지고 접촉되도록 할 수 있다. 지면(20)에 접촉되는 면적을 확보할 수 있도록, 접착 지지부(500, 600)는 제1, 2 바디부(200, 300)의 일단부에서 면 상에 형성되는 것이 바람직하다. 그리고, 지면(20)과 접촉될때, 제1 바디부(200), 제2 바디부(300)가 미끄러지지 않도록, 접착 지지부(500, 600)는 소정의 접착력을 가지는 접착소재, 접착테이프 등이나, 마찰력을 가지는 고무, 탄성소재 등으로 형성될 수 있다.
접착 지지부(500, 600)와 지면(20)과의 접착력은 광 조사에 의하여 고분자 필름(10)이 굽힘 변형을 일으키는 힘보다는 적은 것이 바람직하다. 다시 말해, 제1 바디부(200)의 제1-1 고분자 필름(210) 또는 제2 바디부(300)의 제2-1 고분자 필름(310)에 각각 형성된 접착 지지부(500, 600)는, 제1-1 고분자 필름(210), 제2-1 고분자 필름(310)이 광 조사에 의한 굽힘 변형을 일으킬 때, 지면(20)과의 접착을 해제할 수 있다. 제1-1 고분자 필름(210)의 접착 지지부(500) 부분, 제2-1 고분자 필름(310)의 접착 지지부(600) 부분이 지면(20)과의 접착을 해제함에 따라, 제1-1 고분자 필름(210), 제2-1 고분자 필름(310)이 지면(20)에 지지되지 않고 미끄러질 수 있다. 이에 따라서 제1 바디부(200), 제2 바디부(300)를 이동시킬 수 있게 된다.
도 3내지 도 8은 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 광반응 변형 구조체(100)의 동작 과정을 나타낸다. 이하에서, 광반응 변형 구조체(100)가 이동하는 방향인 왼쪽 방향을 "전(全) 방향"으로 지칭하고, 왼쪽으로 이동하는 것을 "전진(FW)"으로 지칭하며, 각 고분자 필름(210, 230, 310, 330)의 왼쪽면을 "전면"으로 지칭한다. 반대의 경우는 "후 방향", "후진", "후면"으로 지칭한다. 또한, 설명의 편의상 각 고분자 필름(210, 230, 310, 330)이 왼쪽(전면 방향)으로 굽어진 상태를 "제1 형태", 오른쪽(후면 방향)으로 굽어진 상태를 "제2 형태"로 지칭한다.
도 3 내지 도 8을 참조하면, 광반응 변형 구조체(100) 및 이를 구동시키기 위한 시스템이 도시된다. 각각의 고분자 필름(210, 230, 310, 330)의 양면에는 자외선, 가시광선 등의 광을 조사할 수 있는 광 조사부(51~58)가 배치될 수 있다. 다만, 이에 제한되는 것은 아니며, 이보다 적은 개수의 광 조사부가 이동 수단(미도시)에 설치되어 각각의 고분자 필름(210, 230, 310, 330)의 양면에 광을 조사할 수도 있다.
먼저, 도 3을 참조하면, 제1, 2 바디부(200, 300)의 접착 지지부(500, 600)는 지면(20)에 접촉된 상태일 수 있다. 즉, 제1-1 고분자 필름(210) 및 제2-1 고분자 필름(310)의 하부가 지면(20)에 소정 면적 접촉되도록 굽힘 변형된 상태일 수 있다. 제1-2 고분자 필름(230), 제2-1 고분자 필름(310)은 제1 형태(왼쪽으로 굽어진 상태), 제1-1 고분자 필름(210), 제2-2 고분자 필름(330)은 제2 형태(오른쪽으로 굽어진 상태)일 수 있다. 따라서, 광반응 변형 구조체(100)는 이동하지 않고 지면(20) 상에서 정지된 상태를 유지할 수 있다.
다음으로, 도 4를 참조하면, 제1-1 고분자 필름(210)의 후면에 광 조사부(52)가 광을 조사할 수 있다. 제1-1 고분자 필름(210)은 전면 방향으로 굽혀지며 제2 형태에서 제1 형태로 변형될 수 있다. 동시에, 제1-1 고분자 필름(210)의 굽힘 변형을 일으키는 힘이 접착 지지부(500)의 지면(20)과의 접착력보다 강하므로, 접착 지지부(500)가 지면(20)과 접촉 해제되어 떨어질 수 있다.
다음으로, 도 5를 참조하면, 제2-2 고분자 필름(330)의 후면에 광 조사부(57)가 광을 조사할 수 있다. 제2-2 고분자 필름(330)은 전면 방향으로 굽혀지며 제2 형태에서 제1 형태로 변형될 수 있다. 제2-2 고분자 필름(330)이 굽힘 변형되면서 전면 방향을 향해 누르는 힘(C)을 인가할 수 있다. 제1 바디부(200)의 접착 지지부(500)는 지면(20)과 접촉된 상태가 아니므로, 이 누르는 힘(C)에 의해 제1 바디부(200)가 소정 거리만큼 전진(FW)할 수 있다.
다음으로, 도 6을 참조하면, 제1-1 고분자 필름(210)의 전면에 광 조사부(51)가 광을 조사할 수 있다. 제1-1 고분자 필름(210)은 후면 방향으로 굽혀지며 제1 형태에서 제2 형태로 변형될 수 있다. 제2 형태로 변형되면서 제1-1 고분자 필름(210)의 접착 지지부(500)가 지면(20)과 접촉된 상태가 될 수 있고, 접착 지지부(500)의 지면(20) 접촉에 의해 제1 바디부(200)는 이동하지 않고 고정될 수 있다.
다음으로, 도 7을 참조하면, 제2-1 고분자 필름(310) 및 제2-2 고분자 필름(330)의 전면에 광 조사부(56, 58)가 광을 조사할 수 있다. 제2-1 고분자 필름(310) 및 제2-2 고분자 필름(330)는 후면 방향으로 굽혀지며 제1 형태에서 제2 형태로 변형될 수 있다. 제2 형태로 변형되면서 제2-1 고분자 필름(310)의 접착 지지부(600)가 지면(20)과 접촉 해제되어 떨어질 수 있다. 동시에, 제1 바디부(200)의 접착 지지부(500)는 지면(20)에 접촉된 상태를 유지하고, 제2-1 고분자 필름(310) 및 제2-2 고분자 필름(330)이 제2 형태로 변형되면서 전면 방향으로 당겨(FO)질 수 있게 된다. 이에 따라, 제2 바디부(300)가 전진할 수 있다.
다음으로, 도 8을 참조하면, 제2-1 고분자 필름(310)의 후면에 광 조사부(55)가 광을 조사할 수 있다. 제2-1 고분자 필름(310)은 전면 방향으로 굽혀지며 제2 형태에서 제1 형태로 변형될 수 있다. 제1 형태로 변형되면서 제2-1 고분자 필름(310)의 접착 지지부(600)가 지면(20)과 접촉된 상태가 될 수 있고, 접착 지지부(600)의 지면(20) 접촉에 의해 제2 바디부(300)는 이동하지 않고 고정될 수 있다.
도 8의 상태는 도 3의 초기 상태와 동일하다. 도 3 내지 도 8의 과정을 반복하여, 광반응 변형 구조체(100)가 미끄러지는 듯하게 전진(FW)하는 동작을 수행할 수 있다.
도 9는 본 발명의 다른 실시예에 따른 광반응 변형 구조체(100')를 나타내는 개략도이다. 이하에서는, 도 1의 광반응 변형 구조체(100)와 차이점에 대해서만 설명한다. 동일한 구성에 대해서는 동일한 부호를 병기하였고, 다만, 복수의 개수를 가지는 구성에 대해서는 부호에 "-1", "-2"를 부기하였음을 밝혀둔다.
도 9를 참조하면, 광반응 변형 구조체(100')는 복수의 제1 바디부(200: 200-1, 200-2) 및 복수의 제2 바디부(300: 300-1, 300-2)를 포함할 수 있다. 광반응 변형 구조체(100')가 이동하는데 있어서, 두 개의 제1 바디부(200-1, 200-2)는 두 개의 앞 발과 같이 작용하고, 두 개의 제2 바디부(300-1, 300-2)는 두 개의 뒷 발과 같이 작용할 수 있다.
각각의 제1 바디부(200: 200-1, 200-2)는 각각 제1-1 고분자 필름(210: 210-1, 210-2), 제1-2 고분자 필름(230: 230-1, 230-2), 제1 구속부(250: 250-1, 250-2), 접착 지지부(500: 500-1, 500-2)를 포함할 수 있다.
그리고, 각각의 제2 바디부(300: 300-1, 300-2)는 각각 제2-1 고분자 필름(310: 310-1, 310-2), 제2-2 고분자 필름(330: 330-1, 330-2), 제2 구속부(350: 350-1, 350-2), 접착 지지부(600: 600-1, 600-2)를 포함할 수 있다.
연결부(400)는 두 개의 제1 바디부(200-1, 200-2) 및 두 개의 제2 바디부(300-1, 300-2)의 타단부(상단부)를 상호 연결할 수 있다.
도 10내지 도 12는 본 발명의 다른 실시예에 따른 광반응 변형 구조체(100')의 전진 동작 과정을 나타낸다.
먼저, 도 10의 (a)를 참조하면, 모든 제1, 2 바디부(200, 300)의 접착 지지부(500, 600)는 지면(20)에 접촉된 상태일 수 있다. 즉, 제1-1 고분자 필름(210) 및 제2-1 고분자 필름(310)의 하부가 지면(20)에 소정 면적 접촉되도록 굽힘 변형된 상태일 수 있다. 제1-2 고분자 필름(230-1, 230-2), 제2-1 고분자 필름(310-1, 310-2)은 제1 형태(왼쪽으로 굽어진 상태), 제1-1 고분자 필름(210-1, 210-2), 제2-2 고분자 필름(330-1, 330-2)은 제2 형태(오른쪽으로 굽어진 상태)일 수 있다. 따라서, 광반응 변형 구조체(100')는 이동하지 않고 지면(20) 상에서 정지된 상태를 유지할 수 있다.

도 13 내지 도 15의 과정을 반복하여, 광반응 변형 구조체(100')가 네 발로 보행하는 듯하게 전진(FW)하고, 장애물(25)을 올라가는 동작을 수행할 수 있다.
광반응 변형 구조체(100')은 도 10 내지 도 15에 도시된 실시예에 한정되지 않으며, 고분자 필름에 대한 광 조사의 방향, 순서를 조합하여 얼마든지 변형이 가능함을 밝혀둔다.
위와 같이, 본 발명은 아조벤젠 액정 고분자의 시스-트랜스 변환을 이용하여 굽힘 변형이 제어 가능하고, 광 조사에 의해서 이동, 보행, 오름, 내림 등이 가능한 효과가 있다. 그리고, 광반응 자가 변형 구조체는 열 반응 없이 특정 파장대의 빛을 통해 그 반응이 일어나며, 가역 반응이기 때문에 반복거동이 가능하여 일정한 운동을 지속적으로 반복 가능한 효과가 있다.
본 발명은 상술한 바와 같이 바람직한 실시예를 들어 도시하고 설명하였으나, 상기 실시예에 한정되지 아니하며 본 발명의 정신을 벗어나지 않는 범위 내에서 당해 발명이 속하는 기술분야에서 통상의 지식을 가진 자에 의해 다양한 변형과 변경이 가능하다. 그러한 변형예 및 변경예는 본 발명과 첨부된 특허청구범위의 범위 내에 속하는 것으로 보아야 한다.

- 광 조사에 의하여 굽힘 변형을 일으키는 적어도 하나의 고분자 필름을 포함하는 제1 바디부;광 조사에 의하여 굽힘 변형을 일으키는 적어도 하나의 고분자 필름을 포함하는 제2 바디부; 및제1 바디부와 제2 바디부의 연결을 매개하는 연결부를 포함하고,제1 바디부와 제2 바디부의 지면에 접촉하는 일단부에는 접착 지지부가 형성되는, 광반응 변형 구조체.
- 제1항에 있어서,제1 바디부는 광 조사에 의하여 굽힘 변형을 일으키는 제1-1 고분자 필름 및 제1-2 고분자 필름을 포함하고,제2 바디부는 광 조사에 의하여 굽힘 변형을 일으키는 제2-1 고분자 필름 및 제2-2 고분자 필름을 포함하는, 광반응 변형 구조체.
- 제2항에 있어서,제1-1 고분자 필름과 제1-2 고분자 필름 사이에 제1 구속부가 형성되고,제2-1 고분자 필름과 제2-2 고분자 필름 사이에 제2 구속부가 형성되는, 광반응 변형 구조체.
- 제1항에 있어서,고분자 필름은,고분자 스캐폴드(scaffold) 필름;고분자 스캐폴드 필름의 표면에 침지되어 코팅된 아조벤젠 액정 고분자; 및코팅된 상기 아조벤젠 액정 고분자의 표면에 부착된 보호 필름을 포함하는, 광반응 변형 구조체.
- 제1항에 있어서,접착 지지부와 지면과의 접착력은 광 조사에 의하여 고분자 필름이 굽힘 변형을 일으키는 힘보다 적은, 광반응 변형 구조체.
- 제1항에 있어서,연결부는 제1 바디부와 제2 바디부의 타단부를 상호 연결하고, 제1 바디부와 제2 바디부가 굽힘 또는 꺾임 변형이 가능하도록 관절로 작용하는, 광반응 변형 구조체.
- 제1항에 있어서,제1 바디부와 제2 바디부는 복수인, 광반응 변형 구조체.
- 광 조사에 의하여 굽힘 변형을 일으키는 적어도 하나의 고분자 필름을 포함하는 제1 바디부; 광 조사에 의하여 굽힘 변형을 일으키는 적어도 하나의 고분자 필름을 포함하는 제2 바디부; 및 제1 바디부와 제2 바디부의 연결을 매개하는 연결부를 포함하고, 제1 바디부와 제2 바디부의 지면에 접촉하는 일단부에는 접착 지지부가 형성된, 광반응 변형 구조체의 구동 방법으로서,(a) 제1 바디부의 고분자 필름에 광을 조사하여 굽힘 변형을 일으키고, 제1 바디부의 접착 지지부를 지면으로부터 접촉 해제시키는 단계;(b) 제2 바디부의 고분자 필름에 광을 조사하여 굽힘 변형을 일으켜, 제1 바디부를 전진시키는 단계;(c) 제1 바디부의 고분자 필름에 광을 조사하여 (a) 단계와 반대 방향으로의 굽힘 변형을 일으키고, 제1 바디부의 접착 지지부를 지면에 접촉시키는 단계;(d) (b) 단계의 광 조사 부분보다 적어도 하부에 있는 제2 바디부의 고분자 필름에 광을 조사하여 (b) 단계와 반대 방향으로의 굽힘 변형을 일으키고, 제2 바디부의 접착 지지부를 지면으로부터 접촉 해제시키면서 제2 바디부를 전진시키는 단계;(e) 제2 바디부의 고분자 필름에 광을 조사하여 (d) 단계와 반대 방향으로의 굽힘 변형을 일으키고, 제2 바디부의 접착 지지부를 지면에 접촉시키는 단계를 포함하는, 광반응 변형 구조체의 구동 방법.
- 제8항에 있어서,제1 바디부는 광 조사에 의하여 굽힘 변형을 일으키는 제1-1 고분자 필름 및 제1-2 고분자 필름을 포함하고, 제2 바디부는 광 조사에 의하여 굽힘 변형을 일으키는 제2-1 고분자 필름 및 제2-2 고분자 필름을 포함하며,제1-1 고분자 필름과 제1-2 고분자 필름 사이에 제1 구속부가 형성되고,제2-1 고분자 필름과 제2-2 고분자 필름 사이에 제2 구속부가 형성되는, 광반응 변형 구조체의 구동 방법.
- 제9항에 있어서,(a) 단계는, 제1 바디부의 제1-1 고분자 필름에 광을 조사하여 굽힘 변형을 일으키고, 제1-1 고분자 필름에 형성된 접착 지지부를 지면으로부터 접촉 해제시키는 단계이고,(b) 단계는, 제2 바디부의 제2-1 고분자 필름에 광을 조사하여 굽힘 변형을 일으켜, 제1 바디부를 미는 힘을 작용하여 제1 바디부를 전진시키는 단계이며,(c) 단계는, 제1 바디부의 제1-1 고분자 필름에 광을 조사하여 (a) 단계와 반대 방향으로의 굽힘 변형을 일으키고, 제1-1 고분자 필름에 형성된 접착 지지부를 지면에 접촉시키는 단계이고,(d) 단계는, 제2 바디부의 제2-1 고분자 필름 및 제2-2 고분자 필름에 광을 조사하여 (b) 단계와 반대 방향으로의 굽힘 변형을 일으키고, 제2 바디부를 전진시키는 단계이며,(e) 단계는, 제2-1 고분자 필름에 광을 조사하여 (d) 단계와 반대 방향으로의 굽힘 변형을 일으키고, 제2-1 고분자 필름에 형성된 접착 지지부를 지면에 접촉시키는 단계인, 광반응 변형 구조체의 구동 방법.
