Description
Extractor hood glass or cover connection mechanism
Technical Field
Invention relates to glass or cover connection mechanism used in extractor hoods providing discharge of odour, water or meal steam occurring during cooking in kitchens.
The invention particularly relates to glass or cover connection mechanism interlocking and thus locking to fix glass or cover to inner surface used in order to fix glass or cover to glass or cover group used in slope type extractor hoods.
Present State of the Art
Extractor hood is an electrical air suction device absorbing smoke, meal or water vapour and odours occurring during cooking process in kitchens and providing discharge of them to outside environment. Used necessarily in all kitchens, extractor hoods are of design and functional differences such as wall type, island type, ceiling type. Wall type extractor hood model is primary model used as installed on wall on one face. Wall type extractor hoods are produced as plain, pyramid, slope type according to design and are made from glass and stainless steel in terms of materials.
Looking good and aesthetic visually, slope wall type extractor hoods mostly preferred recently have filters positioned in slope position covered by a cover group consisting of glasses fixed to each other at certain distances or single form glass.
In present applications when it is needed to add an additional glass to glass or cover group fixed to extractor hood body, more than one connection member and part is needed, and mechanical tools and equipment is needed to join such parts. Therefore, mounting additional glass or cover becomes an operation difficult to perform. In addition, the more cover group components are the more energy and
work force is needed, which increases cost. Additionally, after sale service operations get difficult as additional cover group comprises more than one component.
In the research made in literature, no embodiment providing mounting of additional glass to extractor hood cover group has been seen. However, a reference is made to one of developments made in connection with slope wall type extractor hoods.
Document numbered TR2015/05794 relates to cover mechanism extractor hood and cover group on the filter consists of a damper. Said damper enables easy opening - closing of cover group. Therefore, the invention does not have a connection embodiment for fixing additional glass to cover group.
As a result, the need for above mentioned problems and inadequacy of the existing solutions have made necessary to make a development in the related art.
Purpose of the Invention
This present invention relates to an extractor hood glass or cover connection mechanism eliminating above mentioned disadvantages and providing new advantages in the related art.
Primary purpose of invention is to provide a connection mechanism having a body and a counterpart interlocking each other which are fixed by bonding to inner surface of extractor hood glass or cover.
Another purpose of invention is to perform mounting work without need for more than one connection member when it is required to add an additional glass to glass or cover group mounted to extractor hood body.
A further purpose of the invention is to reduce cost thanks to practical fixing of additional glass or cover to extractor hood body.
Another purpose of the invention is to provide after sale intervention operations easily and in a shorter time.
In order to achieve all of the above mentioned purposes and those that can be stated under detailed description, the invention relates to a glass or cover connection mechanism to fix additional glass or cover to glass or cover group in slope type extractor hoods characterized in comprising;
- a counterpart located on inner surface of upper glass or cover, and having tabs on its upper surface and a counter bonding surface on its lower surface,
- a body, which is longer than the length of said counterpart, and located on inner surface of lower glass or cover and having tab housings in the form matching to the tabs of the counterpart and a body bonding surface on its lower surface.
The structural and characteristic features and all advantages of the invention will be understood better in the figures given below and the detailed description by reference to the figures. Therefore, the assessment should be made based on the figures and the detailed descriptions.

Detailed Description of the Invention
In this detailed description, the preferred embodiment alternatives of the connection mechanism (10) being subject of the invention have been described in a manner not forming any restrictive effect and only for purpose of better understanding of the matter.
The invention relates to glass or cover connection mechanism interlocking and thus locking to fix glass or cover to inner surface used in order to fix glass or cover to glass or cover group used in slope type extractor hoods.
Figure 1 is a general view of connection mechanism (10) of invention in demounted form. According to it, in its most basic form connection mechanism (10) comprises a body (1 1 ) fixed to inner surface of lower glass or cover (20) and a counterpart (12) fixed to inner surface of upper glass or cover (30).
As shown in Figures 5a and 5b, upper surface of counterpart (12) contains tabs (121 ). Said tabs (121 ) are in structure extending upward from upper surface of counterpart (12) and ends thereof are outward bulge in triangle form. Lower surface
of counterpart (12) has counterpart bonding surface (122) made in inward bulge structure.
As shown in figure 2, lower surface of the body (1 1 ) in structure longer in comparison to length of the counterpart (12) comprises tab housings (1 1 1 ) matching tabs (121 ) of said counterpart (12). Lower surface of body (1 1 ) also has body bonding surface (1 12) made in inward bulge structure.
Mounting of connection mechanism (A) of the invention is performed as follows:
Counterpart (12) is fixed to the inner surface of upper glass or cover (30) by means of a bonding material provided on counter bonding surface (122) on lower surface. Body (1 1 ) is fixed to inner surface of lower glass or cover (20) by means of a bonding material provided on body bonding surface (1 12) on lower surface in such that tab housings (1 1 1 ) are not covered.
As shown in figure 3 when counterpart (12) on inner surface of upper glass or cover (30) is seated onto body (1 1 ) on inner surface of lower glass or cover (20), the tabs (121 ) located on upper surface of the counterpart (12) and in structure wherein ends are in triangle outward bulge makes tight locking and locks by means of seating into tab housings (1 1 1 ) on the lower surface of the body (1 1 ). As shown in figure 6, locking process provides fixing upper glass or cover (30) to lower glass or cover (20) on the extractor hood (D) practically.
When removal of upper glass or cover (30) from lower glass or cover (20) is required, counterpart (12) is removed from the body (1 1 ) by removal of tabs (121 ) from tab housings (1 1 1 ) and thus required intervention to extractor hood (D) is conducted.
