Abstract
The invention concerns a fine-blanking process for the manufacture of transverse elements (51) for a push belt for a continuously variable transmission, wherein at least two transverse elements (51) are simultaneously blanked from a strip of basic material (2) at two blanking positions (1, 3; 2, 4) that are mutually separated along the length of the strip (52). According to the invention, a slit (5; 5a, 5b,5c) is provided to either side of at least one of the said two blanking positions (1, 3; 2, 4), extending perpendicular to the length of the strip (52).
