Detailed Description of the Invention
In this detailed description, the preferred embodiments of a security mechanism (1 ) disclosed under the invention have been disclosed solely for better understanding of the subject.
Invention relates to a security mechanism (1 ) giving alarm and warning to house owner when burglars attempt to open doors and/ or windows (A).
In addition to audio alarm warning of security mechanism (1 ), it has also visual warning of the user. Thus, two different alarms are provided for users and thus solution for hearing impaired users is also offered.
When battery supplying power to security mechanism (1 ) is weak, the user is visually notified.
Upon termination of burglary determination in security mechanism (1 ) when doors and / or windows (A) are desired to be opened by users, they can be put into half-open position maximum. Thus, safety of children is ensured.
In case of probable burglary cases, security mechanism (1 ) takes into consideration that the house owner is not at home and sends information message to house owner and warns the house owner. Security mechanism (1 ) is offered to user at considerably low cost.
Security mechanism (1 ) is mounted onto doors and / or windows (A) and comprises of an alarm mechanism (2) activated with moving pin (21 ) located thereon when burglars attempt to open the doors and/ or windows (A) and when doors and / or windows (A) are moved. When burglars attempt to open the doors and / or windows (A), warning circuit (3) is activated by motion of the pin (21 ). After warning circuit (3) is activated, house owner is warned audio-visually. As shown in Figure 1 , alarm mechanism (2) comprises of fixed apparatus (22) and moving apparatus (23).
Security mechanism (1 ) of the invention can be used in opening-closing and sliding doors and/ or widows (A). In uses at opening closing doors and/ or windows (A), alarm mechanism (2) comprises of fixed apparatus (22) mounted onto fixed part of the doors and/ or windows (A) and moving apparatus (23) mounted to the fixed apparatus (22) at 90 degrees angle. Warning circuit (3) is provided in the moving apparatus (23). Moving apparatus (23) consists of pin (21 ). The pin (21 ) moves and changes place when wings of doors and/ or windows (A) are opened and hit it (21 ). As a result of displacement of pin (21 ), the switch (31 ) in the warning circuit (3) goes into closed position. Thus, warning circuit (3) gives alarm.
As shown in Figure 2, in applications achieved in opening- closing doors and/ or windows (A); the present invention preferably comprises chain (24) mounted on fixed apparatus (22), locking apparatus (25) located in moving part of doors and/ or windows (A) and providing insertion of chain (24) therein. If user desires, he may change position of moving apparatus (23) and thus moving apparatus (23) may come onto the fixed apparatus (22). As a result, alarming feature of security mechanism (1 ) is deactivated. After alarming feature of security mechanism (1 ) is deactivated, the user inserts the chain (24) to locking apparatus (25) if wishes so. The chain (24) is in slight loose position. As a consequence, when it is desired to open door and/ or window (A), it may be brought to half opening position at most. Thus, safety of children is ensured.
As shown in figure 3, in applications achieved in sliding doors and/ or windows (A), the present invention comprises triangle apparatus (4) addition to alarm mechanism (2). Triangle apparatus (4) is mounted on one of moving wings of the doors and/ or windows (A). Alarm mechanism (2) is mounted to other one of moving wings of the doors and/ or windows (A). Triangle apparatus (4) starts moving together with the wing during sliding and opening of the doors and/ or windows (A) and hits the pin (21 ) moving in opposite direction. Pin (21 ) displaces as a result of hitting of triangle apparatus (4). As a result of displacement of pin (21 ), the switch (31 ) in the warning circuit (3) goes into closed position. Thus, warning circuit (3) gives alarm.
Warning circuit (3) as shown in Figure 4 comprises of
❖ switch (31 ) coming into closed position from opened position as a result of movement of the pin (21 ) when burglars attempt to open the doors and/ or windows (A),
❖ audio warning (32) giving high volume alarm to warn the house owner upon switch's (31 ) coming into closed position,
❖ an alarm lamp (33) of any types such as LED and similar one providing visual warning of house owner by different lights when switch (31 ) comes to closed position,
❖ battery (34) providing required electric power,
❖ battery status lamp (35) of any LED and similar types providing visual warning of battery’s (34) power level to the user,
❖ control unit (36) of microprocessor and similar type not consuming power when in waiting status, going from waiting status to working status when said pin (21 ) is triggered and said switch (31 ) is toggled, providing signal outputs for said audio warning (32) and said alarm lamp (33) when working and energised,
❖ inductor (37) putting sound signal transmitted from said control unit (37) to oscillation and amplifying said sound signal to a frequency that can be heard by people and transmitting to said audio warning (32),
❖ a measuring unit (38) of chip and similar type thereof used to measure voltage value of said battery (34) and to prevent consumption of electric power inside said battery (34) by continuous working of said control unit (36) and thus taking such voltage value in said battery (34) and comparing such value to reference values, in case of discovery of low voltage value of said battery (34) as a result of such comparison, providing voltage output for said battery status lamp (35), drawing current at nano amperes level and thus conducting low electric energy consumption and not consuming electric power inside said battery (34) during measurement and
❖ GSM module (39) sending notification message to mobile device of house owner by short text message and in similar way in case of perception of any burglary attempt, and thus informing the house owner not at home during burglary attempt.
Measurement of voltage levels of batteries used in electronics devices today is conducted considering that battery voltage is taken in analogue, it is converted into digital and compared to reference values in micro processor and thus evaluated as at desired level or low based on results thereof. In such a case, microprocessor used in said electronics device is operated and takes measurement constantly and causes run out of battery in a short time period. In the operations conducted by micro controllers, current required for operation is of micro ampere and even mili ampere levels in some applications. Although these current values are low, since application of operations such as instant measurement of battery voltage value has operation repetition and continuity, it is high cumulatively in long run and consumes the limited power that can be provided by battery, the power source, in a short time. For that reason, the
warning circuit (36) located in security mechanism (1 ) of the invention consists of a measurement unit (38) providing measurement of battery (34) power level in addition to control unit (36) running for giving burglary alarm. Measurement unit (38) draws current at nano ampere level. Life of battery (34) takes longer thanks to said low current consumption.
