Abstract

The use of mobile (cell) technology to validate printed documents. This process is a closed loop system by using a secure QR code printed into or adhered on a document that needs to be secured. The document is then scanned by a proprietary scanner application and an original version of the document is then electronically delivered to the scanner using the registered details on file. The scanning party then compares the original document with the electronic version.

DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[0001] This invention relates to the verification and protection of printed documents using Digital technology. The invention relates a process for individuals to validate any protected document by the use of Mobile scanning technology and the delivery via electronic medium of an original version of the protected document.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[0002] For years' people have been forging Printed and Electronic Documents for their own personal gain.
[0003] These include Identification documents, Scholastic documents, Contracts, Artwork, legal documents among others.
[0004] With the Trax Print platform we have created a system that when attached to any document or item a digital verification process can be initiated to validate the credentials of the Document or Item by sending the relevant person a digital copy of the document or item via PDF or image through electronic mail or SMS message.

Claims

What is Claimed Is:
1 The Trax Print system used a digital format to protect the validity of a printed document
2 The QR code, claim 1 is a securely created code produced by the Trax Print system to be placed on a printed document
3 The printed document is electronically scanned in, claim 2 to the Trax Print secure digital storage facility
4 A Scanner Application, claim 3 is loaded onto a Mobile device (Cell Phone) and used to scan the QR code placed on the printed document.
5 The loaded scanner application then scans the QR code on the document, claim 4. This then triggers a verification process on the closed loop digital system
6 The closed loop digital system, claim 5 will then digitally transmit the stored electronic version to the email address or the cell phone of the person scanning the printed document.
7 The original person that the document belongs to, claim 6 will then receive notification that their document has been scanned by electronic means as a notification on their cell phone or email delivery
8 An electronic record of the scan, claim 7 will be logged on the closed loop system to ensure all transactions are documented.
