Definitions
- the present invention relates to an aerosol-generating device, and more particularly, to an aerosol-generating device that distributes and transmits power from two batteries to two heaters.
- the aerosol-generating device may include two heaters. One heater can be used to heat the cigarette containing nicotine, and the other heater can be used to heat the cartridge containing the liquid substrate.
- the aerosol-generating device may include a battery to move and use.
- the aerosol generating device may malfunction due to an instantaneous voltage drop or the like. Accordingly, research is underway to properly distribute and transfer power from batteries to two heaters.
- the problem to be solved is to provide a method of distributing and transmitting power to two heaters within a range of power output from a battery. It is also to provide an aerosol-generating device operating according to the above-described method.
- the technical problem to be solved is not limited to the technical problems as described above, and other technical problems may exist.
- An aerosol-generating device includes a battery; A first heater for heating the first aerosol-generating substrate; A second heater that heats the second aerosol-generating substrate; And a control unit for controlling power provided from the battery to the first heater and the second heater, wherein the control unit controls the battery to provide power at different times from the battery to the first heater and the second heater. do.
- the control unit controls so that the time when power is transferred from the battery to the first heater and the time when power is transferred to the second heater do not overlap, so that the voltage output from the battery can be prevented from falling, and malfunction or device of the aerosol generating device Defects can be prevented.
- control unit may operate in a plurality of control modes, and the plurality of control modes may include a first control mode for controlling power to be transmitted to the first heater first and a second control for power to be transmitted to the second heater preferentially.
- the first control mode is a mode in which the cigarette is normally heated according to a predetermined temperature profile to control the user to provide a desired taste
- the second control mode is that the cartridge is normally heated in accordance with the predetermined temperature profile to provide a desired amount of aerosol to the user This mode is to control as much as possible.
- it may be preferred that the amount of taste or aerosol provided is satisfied, and the user may select one of a plurality of control modes and use the aerosol generating device according to preference.
- FIG. 1 and 2 are views showing examples in which a cigarette is inserted into the aerosol-generating device.
- FIG. 3 is a view showing an example of a cigarette.
- FIG. 4 is a flowchart illustrating an example of a method in which a control unit controls power delivered to heaters.
- FIG. 5 is a view showing an example of power required by the first heater and power required by the second heater for a current control cycle.
- FIG. 6 is a diagram illustrating an example of power provided from a battery to a first heater and a second heater according to a first control mode.
- FIG. 7 is a diagram illustrating an example of power provided from a battery to a first heater and a second heater according to a second control mode.
- An aerosol-generating device includes a battery; A first heater for heating the first aerosol-generating substrate; A second heater that heats the second aerosol-generating substrate; And a control unit for controlling power provided from the battery to the first heater and the second heater, wherein the control unit controls the battery to provide power at different times from the battery to the first heater and the second heater. do.
- control unit has a plurality of control modes for controlling power supplied from the battery to the first heater and the second heater according to the priority of the first heater and the second heater. .
- the plurality of control modes include: a first control mode for controlling the first heater to be provided with the electric power first; And a second control mode for controlling the power to be provided to the second heater first.
- control unit controls power provided from the battery to the first heater and the second heater according to any one of the plurality of modes, and the one mode is a user It is decided by order.
- the aerosol-generating device described above further includes a communication unit that communicates with the external device, and the user command is input to the external device and received through the communication unit.
