Description

Pest repellent adhesive tape
The present invention relates to a pest repellent adhesive tape. Particularly, the present invention relates to a pest repellent pressure-sensitive adhesive tape that is used by being attached to clothes or skin.
In recent years, mosquito-borne infections caused by mosquitoes carrying pathogens such as dengue fever, chikungunya fever, Zika virus infection, Japanese encephalitis, and West Nile fever have been reported in tropical and subtropical regions such as Latin America and Asia. It has been reported to be prevalent in Japan, which has become a social problem. As a preventive measure to prevent these infectious diseases, it is important not to be bitten by mosquitoes that cause the infectious diseases.
By the way, as a method of repelling harmful insects such as mosquitoes, flies, flies, and mites, a liquid agent containing a repellent has been conventionally sprayed and applied to the skin. However, the method of directly spraying and applying a liquid agent containing such a repellent to some people may inhale it by inhaling it from the mouth, or may cause skin irritation or allergic symptoms. ..
In addition, as another method of repelling harmful insects, mosquito coil and electric mosquito coil are used. However, mosquito coils are not safe because they use fire, and electric mosquito coils are difficult to carry freely.
On the other hand, conventionally, a pest repellent pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet is known, which can be applied to clothes or skin by impregnating an adhesive layer with a repellent (Patent Document 1). However, in the case of a pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet in which the adhesive layer is impregnated with the repellent, the repellent and the components contained in the adhesive layer may react with each other, and the stability of the repellent content during storage may decrease.
Therefore, there is a demand for a pest repellent pressure-sensitive adhesive tape that is safe and easy to use, has excellent storage stability of a repellent that is easily volatilized, and has a persistent insect repellent effect.

The repellent in the present invention is not particularly limited as long as it is a component that has a repellent effect and a blood feeding inhibitory effect against pests. Pest repellents include, for example, diet (N, N-diethyl-3-methylbenzamide), icalidin (1-piperidinecarboxylic acid, 2- (2-hydroxyethyl) -1-methylpropyl ester), IR3535 (registered trademark) ) (3- (Nn-butyl-N-acetyl) aminopropionic acid ethyl ester), vegetable essential oil and the like. Among them, diet, squalidin, and plant essential oil are preferably used. The repellent preferably contains at least one selected from the group consisting of diet, squalidin and plant essential oil.

It is preferable that citronella and / or eucalyptus be contained as a main component of the plant essential oil.
Such repellents may be used alone or as a mixture of two or more kinds. In addition, the repellent is contained in the cloth described later. Regarding the content of the repellent contained in the cloth, the upper limit is preferably 400 g / m 2 , more preferably 350 g / m 2 , and the lower limit is preferably 30 g / m 2 , more preferably 50 g / m 2 on an area basis. , More preferably 70 g / m 2 , and even more preferably 80 g / m 2 . When the content of the repellent is 30 to 400 g / m 2 on an area basis, the balance between the repellent volatilization rate (immediate effect of volatilization effect) and the sustainability of the volatilization effect becomes good.
The cloth in the present invention refers to a cloth-like material such as woven cloth, non-woven cloth, and knitted cloth, and has unevenness on the surface. Due to the unevenness of the surface, there is an effect that the repellent contained in the fabric is excellent in diffusibility (volatility) into the atmosphere. Among the above-mentioned cloths, the non-woven cloth is a cloth formed by adhering or entwining fibers by a thermal, mechanical or chemical action, so that it is less likely to be frayed and is preferably used.
Examples of the material of the cloth include natural fibers such as cotton (cotton), silk, hemp, pulp and wool, polyester (eg polyethylene terephthalate), polyolefin (eg polyethylene, polypropylene etc.), polyamide (eg nylon etc.). ), Acrylic resin, synthetic fiber such as polyurethane, semi-synthetic fiber such as acetate fiber, regenerated fiber such as rayon fiber, cupra fiber and the like. One kind of material selected from the above materials may be used alone, or two or more kinds of materials may be mixed and used. Further, in a cloth composed of a large number of fibers, all fibers in the cloth may be made of the same material, or fibers made of different materials may be blended to form the cloth. The material of the cloth is preferably at least one selected from the group consisting of cotton (cotton), polyester, polyolefin and polyamide.
The fabric of the present invention is characterized by having a bulk density of 50 to 300 kg / m 3 . The upper limit of the bulk density is preferably 280 kg / m 3 , more preferably 270 kg / m 3 , and the lower limit of the bulk density is preferably 70 kg / m 3 , more preferably 80 kg / m 3 . The fabric of the present invention is characterized by having a thickness of 300 to 2000 μm. The upper limit of the thickness is preferably 1600 μm, more preferably 1500 μm, and the lower limit of the thickness is preferably 400 μm, more preferably 500 μm. The bulk density in the present invention is calculated by dividing the basis weight (g / m 2 ) of the cloth by the thickness (μm).
Since the bulk density of the cloth is 50 to 300 kg / m 3 and the thickness of the cloth is 300 to 2000 μm, it is possible to contain a high concentration of the repellent in the cloth, and the repellent contained in the cloth Not only is it excellent in storage stability (retention), but also rapid diffusion (volatility) of the repellent from the fabric to the atmosphere is obtained.
The upper limit of the basis weight of the fabric is preferably 200 g / m 2 , more preferably 180 g / m 2 , and the lower limit is preferably 70 g / m 2 , more preferably 80 g / m 2 . The upper limit of the diameter of the fibers constituting the cloth is preferably 20 μm, more preferably 10 μm, and the lower limit thereof is preferably 0.5 μm, more preferably 1 μm.
The protective layer in the present invention is preferably a film made of a material that is substantially impermeable to the repellent. Examples of the material that does not substantially permeate the repellent agent include polyester (eg, polyethylene terephthalate), polyolefin (eg, polyethylene, polypropylene), polyamide (eg, nylon), polyvinyl chloride, polyvinylidene chloride, polycarbonate. , Polyvinyl alcohol, ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer and the like can be used. Among them, polyester is preferably used, and polyethylene terephthalate is most preferably used. The protective layer is preferably a polyester film, more preferably a film made of polyethylene terephthalate.
The presence of such a protective layer can prevent the repellent contained in the cloth from migrating to the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer, and is considered to contribute to the storage stability of the repellent content in the cloth.
The upper limit of the thickness of the protective layer is preferably 75 μm, more preferably 50 μm, and the lower limit is preferably 12 μm, more preferably 25 μm. When the thickness of the protective layer exceeds 75 μm, the pest repellent pressure-sensitive adhesive tape lacks flexibility, and therefore, when applied to clothes or skin, it may be difficult to follow the surface shape of the clothes or skin, resulting in poor applicability. When the thickness of the protective layer is less than 12 μm, it becomes difficult to prevent the repellent from migrating to the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer.

If the content of the alkoxy group-containing ethylenically unsaturated monomer is within the above range, it is possible to impart excellent moisture permeability to the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer, and when it is applied to the skin surface, stuffiness or itching sensation, etc. Can be suppressed.
When the acrylic adhesive contains a carboxyl group-containing ethylenically unsaturated monomer, the upper limit of the content of the carboxyl group-containing ethylenically unsaturated monomer is preferably 10% by mass, more preferably 8% by mass. The pressure-sensitive adhesive layer of the present invention may be subjected to a crosslinking treatment in order to impart an appropriate cohesive force. The cross-linking treatment includes physical cross-linking by irradiation of ionizing radiation such as electron beam, γ-ray, and X-ray, and chemical cross-linking by a cross-linking agent, but cross-linking is performed from the viewpoint of easy handling and reproducibility It is preferable to carry out chemical crosslinking treatment with an agent. For example, a crosslinking treatment is performed by adding a crosslinking agent to a pressure-sensitive adhesive composition containing a material forming the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer and heating the composition. As such a crosslinking agent, an isocyanate type crosslinking agent, a peroxide type crosslinking agent, a metal chelate type crosslinking agent, or the like used in the crosslinking treatment can be used.
The pressure-sensitive adhesive layer subjected to the crosslinking treatment as described above maintains the balance between the appropriate stickiness and cohesiveness depending on the degree of crosslinking, but the molecular weight and molecular weight distribution of the pressure-sensitive adhesive are also adjusted for these adjustments. If the thickness of the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer is less than 10 μm, the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer may be peeled off during application due to insufficient adhesion to clothes or the skin surface. On the other hand, if the thickness of the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer exceeds 100 μm, the pressure-sensitive adhesive may squeeze out from the end portion of the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer to cause glue stain.
In the pest repellent pressure-sensitive adhesive tape of the present invention, the cloth and the protective layer are directly or indirectly laminated. "Directly laminating" in the present invention means laminating a fabric and a protective layer without interposing an intervening material between the fabric and the protective layer, and "indirectly laminating" means That is, the cloth and the defense layer are laminated with an inclusion, specifically, an adhesive layer or a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer interposed between the cloth and the defense layer. In order to laminate the cloth and the defense layer without peeling off, it is preferable to further have an interlayer adhesive layer between the cloth and the defense layer.
The materials used for the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer may be the same as or different from the materials used for the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer. The pest repellent pressure-sensitive adhesive tape of the present invention is preferably enclosed in a bag made of a material that is substantially impermeable to the repellent until use, and stored or transported as a package. Examples of the method for producing the package include a method in which a sheet-shaped pest repellent adhesive tape is packaged with a packaging material, and the periphery thereof is heat-sealed and hermetically sealed. Examples of the packaging material include those in the form of a sheet or a film, and from the viewpoint of preventing volatilization of the repellent, and easiness of packaging and airtightness, those exhibiting water impermeability and capable of being heat-sealed. desirable. Specifically, heat-sealing plastic sheets such as polyethylene, ionomer resins, ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymers, ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymers, polyacrylonitrile-based copolymers, polyvinyl alcohol-based copolymers, It is preferable to use a packaging material in which a gas or moisture impermeable film such as a polyester film or a metal foil is laminated.
The thickness of the packaging material is usually 10 μm to 200 μm.
If the adhesive component flows out from the side of the adhesive layer of the pest repellent adhesive tape, the handling property such as removal from the package may deteriorate, so the packaging material may be embossed or peeled as described above. It is preferable to appropriately select a packaging form such as dry edge processing in which the liner portion is slightly larger than the pest repellent pressure-sensitive adhesive tape body, or blister molding in which the contact area is reduced.
For the pest repellent adhesive tape in the package, take out the pest repellent adhesive tape just before use, take out the pest repellent adhesive tape, peel off the release liner, and attach the exposed adhesive surface to clothes or skin surface before use. You can

(Production Examples 1 to 8 and Comparative Production Examples 1 to 3)
On one side of a polyethylene terephthalate film (thickness: 38 μm), an ethyl acetate solution of an acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive (isononyl acrylate: 2-methoxyethyl acrylate: acrylic acid = 65 parts: 30 parts: 5 parts copolymer), After coating so as to have a thickness after drying of 40 μm and drying to form an interlayer pressure-sensitive adhesive layer, the nonwoven fabric shown in Table 1 was attached to the interlayer pressure-sensitive adhesive layer to obtain a laminate. Next, on a release paper (97 μm) having one side subjected to a release treatment with a silicone-based resin, a copolymer composed of an acrylic adhesive (isononyl acrylate: 2-methoxyethyl acrylate: acrylic acid = 65 parts: 30 parts: 5 parts) The ethyl acetate solution of 1) is applied so that the thickness after drying is 40 μm and dried to form a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer, and then the polyethylene terephthalate film surface of the above-mentioned laminate is bonded to the pressure-sensitive adhesive surface of the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer. As a result, pressure-sensitive adhesive tapes of Production Examples 1 to 8 and Comparative Production Examples 1 to 3 composed of non-woven fabric / interlayer adhesive layer / polyethylene terephthalate film / adhesive layer / release paper were obtained.

(Examples 1 to 14 and Comparative Examples 1 to 3)
The obtained adhesive tapes (Production Examples 1 to 8 and Comparative Production Examples 1 to 3) were punched out to a diameter of 40 mm, and the amount of repellent (Product name: NR-2080: manufactured by Riken Fragrance Co., Ltd.) on the non-woven fabric surface is shown in Table 2. Was dropped to obtain pest repellent adhesive tapes of Examples 1 to 14 and Comparative Examples 1 to 3.

(Repellent diffusion test on the surface of non-woven fabric)
After the repellant was dropped on the surface of the non-woven fabric for 24 hours, the extent of the repellent on the surface of the non-woven fabric was measured with a caliper to measure the length (mm) and the width (mm). The repellent diffusion area was calculated from the measured vertical and horizontal lengths by the following formula.
Repellent diffusion area (mm 2 ) = L / 2 × W / 2 × 3.14
L: vertical length (mm)
W: Horizontal length (mm)
It is judged that the smaller the diffusion area of the repellent, the better the retention of the repellent in the nonwoven fabric. In addition, when the repellent diffusion area is 1256 mm 2 , the repellent spreads over the entire surface of the pest repellent pressure-sensitive adhesive tape punched to 40 mmφ, and therefore the repellent moves to the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer, etc., by closing the end of the pressure-sensitive adhesive tape. It is judged to be unfavorable.
(Amount of repellent volatilized)
After the repellent was dropped onto the above-mentioned nonwoven fabric surface, it was stored in an environment of 20 ± 5 ° C. for 6 hours. After the release paper was peeled off from the tape immediately after the repellent was dropped and after the tape was stored for 6 hours, the repellent remaining in the tape (product name: NR-2080: manufactured by Riken Fragrance Co., Ltd.) was extracted with acetone. The amount of repellent from the obtained extract was quantified with an FID detector using gas chromatography. From the measured repellent amount, the repellent volatilization amount was calculated by the following formula.
Repellent volatilization amount (mg) = M 0 -M 6
M 0 : amount of repellent just after dropping (mg)
M 6 : Amount of repellent after storage for 6 hours (mg)
(Repellent effect)
In the evaluation of the amount of repellent volatilized, the repellent effect on mosquitoes after storage for 6 hours was visually determined according to the following criteria.
◯: Sufficient repellent effect △: Weak repellent effect ×: Almost no repellent effect

The results are shown in Table 3.
Since the pest repellent pressure-sensitive adhesive tapes of Examples 1 to 14 can well retain the repellent in the nonwoven fabric, there is no fear that the repellent will migrate to the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer or the like through the ends of the pressure-sensitive adhesive tape. The storage stability of the repellent content was excellent. In addition, the pest repellent pressure-sensitive adhesive tapes of Examples 1 to 14 rapidly showed a high repellent volatilization amount and showed a good repellent effect.
On the other hand, the pest repellent pressure-sensitive adhesive tapes of Comparative Examples 1 and 3 had a repellent diffusion area of 1256 mm 2 , and therefore the repellent migrated to the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer or the like along the end of the pressure-sensitive adhesive tape. In addition, the harmful insect repellent pressure-sensitive adhesive tape of Comparative Example 2 had a low repellent volatilization amount, and was not satisfactory as a repellent effect.
