Description

IRONING DEVICE POSITIONING APPARATUS DEVELOPED FOR IRONING
BOARDS
Technical Field The present invention is related to an ironing device positioning apparatus which is developed in order to facilitate the ironing process and to provide the ironing board occupy a smaller space.
Prior Art Today there is an iron placement section which is generally made from a metal material at the rear portion of the ironing board. During the ironing process, different sections of the cloth (or similar textile products) are required to be ironed so that the users place the iron onto this iron placement section and make required adjustments and then take the iron from its place and continue the ironing process. During the ironing process, when we think that the users iron many clothes, he/she is required to place the iron on the iron placement section at the rear portion of the ironing board and then he/she is required to take from this section and continue ironing on the front portion of the ironing board both makes the ironing process difficult and also leads to time losses. Extending the ironing process at the same time causes energy losses. Due to the abovementioned disadvantages, the users try to place the iron on an available section on the ironing board rather that the iron placement section however when it is placed in a vertical manner (the base surface of the iron is vertical to the ironing board), the risk of falling would increase due to an impact, when it is place horizontally (the base surface of the iron is horizontal to the ironing board), it creates very serious risks such as a fire on the ironing board.
In the ironing boards used today when we iron fabrics with larger areas such as linen, curtain etc., these products must be moved on the ironing board. However in the ironing boards used today, the iron placement section is fixed, while fabrics with larger areas such as linen, curtain etc. are ironed, they can be caught to the iron placement section and this makes the ironing process difficult, even in some cases some unwanted situations occur such as the fabrics with larger areas such as linen, curtain etc. can be torn after they are caught by the iron placement section.
·
Today the iron placement section located at the rear portion of the ironing boards used must be mounted to the ironing board during the production, thus it causes labor loss and reduction in the production efficiency during production. Again in ironing boards which are used today, the ironing device positioning section at the rear portion of the ironing boards cause an increase in the total size of the ironing board, the ironing boards occupy a larger place and thus this causes increase in the transportation and storage costs. In addition to this, due to economic conditions, for the users who live in a small square meter houses, an increase in the size of the ironing board creates problems. Together with all of these disadvantages, because the irons must be placed on the ironing board or iron placement section in manner such that its base surface is vertical or its base surface is horizontal, users must adjust their hands according to these positions during placing and taking the iron during ironing process and this creates . difficulty. Aim of the invention
The aim of the present invention is to provide a product which can be moved on the < ironing board and can enable to place the iron close to the section where ironing is done.
The aim of the present invention is to prevent users encountering any kind of safety risks by providing to place the iron close to the section where ironing is done.
The aim of the present invention is to allow the users to do the ironing in a fast and easy manner by preventing loss of time and labor which occurs during the ironing process unnecessarily. The aim of the present invention is to eliminate the need for the iron placement section located at the rear portion or the ironing board, thus to provide the ironing board occupying less space, thus to reduce both transportation/storage costs and to allow users keep their ironing boards in their houses in a more easy way.
The aim of the present invention is to provide a product which can be attached onto current ironing boards of the users in order to do ironing in a fast and easy manner.
The aim of the present invention is to provide taking the iron from its place and placing the iron onto its place in an easy manner by allowing the users to position the iron with a predetermined angle on the ironing board.
The aim of the present invention is to allow ironing fabrics with larger area such as linen, curtain etc. in an easier manner and to eliminate the risk of damaging the fabrics with larger area such as linen, curtain etc. during ironing due to getting caught.
The aim of the present invention is to provide an aesthetic product to the users different from the current products.
The aim of the present invention is to contribute both to the family economy and to the economy of the country by reducing the consumed electric energy amount by finishing ironing process in a faster manner. The aim of the present invention is to allow the users to hang the product which they ironed before onto the ironing board during ironing process by means of a bracket.

3. Iron Description of the Invention:
There is an iron placement body (2) manufactured from the heat resistant and noncombustible material placed on the ironing board (1) in the product subject to present invention. There is a movable clamping piece (2.1) which can be opened and closed on one side and there is a fixed fitting mouth (2.2) on the other side of the iron placement body (2). The movable clamping piece (2.1) has a system with spring and when a pressure is applied thereon, it compresses the spring and is opened and when the compression is released then the compressed spring returns to its previous position and is closed. In the product subject to the present invention, the movable damping piece (2.1) can be used on both sides. In the product subject to the present invention the fixed fitting mouth (2.2) and the iron placement body (2) fitted on one edge of the ironing board (1) is fitted onto the other edge of the ironing board (1) by means of the movable clamping piece (2.1) and with the pressure applied by means of the movable clamping piece (2.1), it is fixed on the ironing board (1). Again the movable clamping piece (2.1) can be opened whenever required by means of applying pressure, the iron placement body (2) can be positioned on the front or rear section of the ironing board (1) totally due to the requirements/habits of the user. For this reason the user is allowed to do the ironing process in a more easy and fast manner. In the product subject to present invention, there is an ironing device positioning space (2.3) on the middle section of the iron placement body (2). In the section where the ironing device positioning space (2.3) is located, there is an angled positioning wire (2.4). The angled positioning wire (2.4) remains parallel to the iron placement body (2) in closed position; it extends in an angled manner upwardly from the iron placement body (2) in the open position. Therefore during the ironing process, the users can place the iron (3) on the iron placement body (2) in an angled manner if required in order to place and take the iron (3). Unwanted accidents by tumbling the iron (3) down is totally eliminated due to reasons such as impact etc. because the bottom portion of the iron (3) is fitted into the ironing device positioning space (2.3) located on the iron placement body (2). In the product subject to the present invention also there is a hanger wire (2.5) on the iron placement body (2). The hanger wire (2.5) remains parallel to the iron placement body (2) in closed position, extends in an angled manner upwardly from one edge of the iron placement body (2) in open position. There are hanger slots (2.5.1) on the upper edge of the hanger wire (2.5), thus the users can hang these ironed clothes to this section by means of the hanger and this makes the ironing process easy for the users. In the product subject to present invention there are fastening protrusions (2.6) on the surface of the iron placement body (2). The irons (especially new type irons with boiler) can be fastened on the iron placement body (2) by means of these fastening protrusions (2.6), therefore their sliding is prevented and thus a more aesthetic/decorative view is obtained. The iron placement body (2) can be placed on the ironing board (1) in two manners so that due to using the right or left hand, the iron placement body (2) can be placed on the ironing board (1) in a preferred manner. In the product of the present invention, an electric plug can be placed with extension cable to an appropriate section of the iron placement body (2) within the scope of the state of the art.
