Abstract

A reinforcement for a fuel tank comprising one or more reinforcing structures including a carrier and a structural adhesive. The one or more reinforcing structures are attached to the fuel tank at at least one location by the structural adhesive upon activation of the structural adhesive. The one or more reinforcing structures prevent the fuel tank from deforming when exposed to a force.
