Description

Children's toothbrush and method of manufacturing children's toothbrush
The present invention relates to a child toothbrush and a method for manufacturing a child toothbrush.
The diameter of the fiber (brush bristle) of a general adult toothbrush is 0.18 to 0.22 mm, while the diameter of the fiber (brush bristle) of a child toothbrush is 0.12 to 0.15 mm. Is the mainstream.
This is because the thick fibers are hard and easily damage the gums of children, and often hurt children when they are polished by adults. On the other hand, if the diameter of the fiber is reduced to such an extent that the child does not hurt at all, there arises a problem that the cleaning ability as a toothbrush, which is the original purpose, is insufficient.
Therefore, in a conventional toothbrush for a child, various measures have been taken, such as changing the structure of the handle of the toothbrush and changing the brush portion from a fiber to an elastomer.
However, the cleaning effect on the tooth surface and between teeth is insufficient, the massage effect on the gums is low, and the cost is high, and it does not satisfy social demands. As described above, many toothbrushes for children are only designed to make the fiber diameter small enough to ensure cleanability, and the point at which children hurts has not been completely solved.
Further, Patent Document 1 proposes a toothbrush that gradually changes the fiber diameter of the toothbrush from the tip portion and removes plaque in the gap (gingival sulcus) between teeth and gums and plaque between teeth. ing. Patent Document 1 proposes a tapered toothbrush in which a tapered surface is formed at a tip portion of a synthetic resin fiber by a chemical treatment, and the tip portion of a cylindrical fiber is thinned.

As mentioned above, many toothbrushes for children only keep the fiber diameter small enough to ensure cleanability, and the point at which children hurt while brushing their teeth has not been completely solved. It is the current situation.
In order to solve this problem, a tapered surface is formed at the tip of the synthetic resin fiber of the toothbrush for children by a chemical treatment as described in Patent Document 1, and the tip of the cylindrical fiber is made thin. It is conceivable to apply the tapering process to a child toothbrush.
However, there is a technical problem that, when the taper treatment for thinning the tip of the fiber is performed, the tip of the fiber is sharpened as a result, and it is not possible to sufficiently eliminate the point where children suffer pain during brushing.
The object of the present invention is to provide a child toothbrush and a method for manufacturing a child toothbrush that can sufficiently eliminate the point at which children ache during brushing.

<First embodiment>
FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a child toothbrush according to a first embodiment of the present invention.
In FIG. 1, a child toothbrush 1 includes a base 2 and a brush 3.
The base 2 is provided with a handle 21, an inclined portion 22, and a flocking base portion 23 in this order from the base end side. The brush 3 is provided on a flocked base portion 23 which is a tip portion of the base 2.
In addition, although the inclined part 22 is described in FIG. 2, it is more appropriate to use the straight part without the inclined part 22.
The toothed brush head 4 is formed by the flocking base portion 23 and the brush 3. The brush 3 is formed by implanting a plurality of brush bristles 31 at a plurality of locations on the flocked base portion 23. The brush bristles 31 are made of synthetic resin fibers. Examples of the synthetic resin fiber material of the brush hair 31 include polyamide resins such as 6,6-nylon, 6-nylon, 12-nylon, 6,10-nylon, 6,12-nylon, and polyolefins such as polyethylene and polypropylene. Polyester resins such as polyethylene resin, polyethylene terephthalate, polybutylene terephthalate, and polytrimethylene terephthalate are used.
2A is a side view of the child toothbrush 1 of FIG. 1, FIG. 2B is a front view of the child toothbrush 1 of FIG. 1, and FIG. FIG. 4 is an explanatory view for explaining the size of the child toothbrush 1 of FIG.
2A and 2B, the base 2 is integrally formed of a resin such as a polypropylene resin, a polyacetal resin, and a polyoxymethylene resin. Further, the child toothbrush 1 is formed so that the total length (L) is in a range of L = 110.0 to 180.5 mm (see FIG. 4).
In FIG. 2A, the child toothbrush head 4 has a thickness (A) of A = 4.70 mm (see FIG. 4) on the distal end side of the flocked base portion 23, and has a proximal end side (handle side) of the flocked base portion 23. ) Has a thickness (B) of B = 5.00 mm (see FIG. 4).
The thickness (B) on the base end side (handle side) is suitably between B = 6.00 mm and 4.00 mm.
The thinner B is easier to enter the child's mouth, but if it is too thin, the hair transplanted portion cannot be sufficiently removed, so this degree is appropriate.
That is, the child toothbrush head 4 whose base end (handle side) thickness (B) is formed thinner than a normal toothbrush is also formed as small as possible.
Specifically, it is formed in such a size that the distance from the root of the flocked portion is as small as possible. Specifically, it is appropriate that the size of the margin in the head direction and the left and right direction from the root of the flocked portion is between 0.30 to 1.50 mm.
The flocked surface of the brush bristles 31 of the child toothbrush head 4 has a length (C) shown in FIG. 2A of C = 14.50 mm and a width (D) shown in FIG. 28 mm (see FIG. 4).
 E=5.5~6.5mmが現在のところ、様々な制約条件のなかで最適値である。もっとも、E=3.0mm~8.0mm程度でも、一定の効果がある。
The brush bristles 31 of the child toothbrush head 4 have a bristle length (E), which is a length protruding from the surface of the flocking base portion 23 shown in FIG. 2A, where E = 5.5 to 6.5 mm ( (See FIG. 4).
Since the length of the hair is short as described above, it is possible to penetrate deep into the mouth of an infant or the like with a small mouth (the mouth is not greatly opened), and the unpolished portion can be prevented.
For this purpose, it is better that the hair length is as short as possible, but if it is kept as it is, there is a risk that the hair will become hard and the infant will be hurt. Therefore, the following contrivance has been made.
E = 5.5-6.5 mm is currently the optimum value among various constraints. However, there is a certain effect even when E = about 3.0 mm to 8.0 mm.
As shown in FIG. 3, the brush bristles 31 are formed under the condition that the diameter (φ) is φ ≦ 0.10 mm (see FIG. 4).
Since the diameter is reduced in this manner, the bristles themselves can increase elasticity. If it is made thinner, the elasticity can be further increased, and the length of E can be shortened.
However, when it becomes thin, the brush bristles 31 stick to the teeth and the like, which in turn causes pain.
In order to alleviate the pain, the tip of the brush bristles 31 is rounded.
However, there is a certain limit to rounding, and at present, φ is considered to be in a range of 0.07 mm to 0.15 mm.
It is currently considered that the optimum value is in the range of φ = 0.09 mm to 0.11 mm.
However, if a softer material can be used for the brush bristles 31, it may change.
In addition, since the diameter is reduced, it is possible to plant hair densely.
As a result, a plurality of hairs hit the gums at the same time, so that pain can be suppressed.
Specifically, 140 brushes obtained by folding and planting 70 brushes are the number of brush bristles 31 per one brush bundle. This is more than twice as usual. That is, in the case of a normal toothbrush, the number per bundle is about 25.
Here, the dense flocking according to the present invention means that the number of bundles per bundle is 50 or more. A more appropriate value is 60 or more, and an optimal value is 75 or more.
In the example of FIG. 2, two of the bundles are arranged left and right on the leading side, and the next three rows are arranged in five rows. Therefore, in the example of FIG. 2, there are 17 bundles.
It is more preferable that the flocking base portion 23 of the flocking portion can be made thinner than the inclined portion 22 in order to make it thinner.
