Description
HIDDEN PLINTH NAIL WITH PIN
RELATED TECHNICAL FIELD
Present invention relates to a concealed pinned nail for baseboards which is easily driven into the wall by a manual driving apparatus and facilitates faster assembly of the baseboards.
STATE OF THE ART
A baseboard is a structure which is situated at the places where the wall and the floor covering meet.
The baseboards may be made of the materials being suitable for the floor covering such as wood, marble, plastics, etc.
The baseboards provide a decorative appearance by covering the gap between the wall and the floor covering.
However, the baseboards are generally secured by using standard nails. These nails may be seen at the outer surfaces of the baseboards and they disrupt the aesthetic appearance.
On the other hand, said standard nails causes difficulties during the application. Said nails also leave traces on the baseboards.
Various developments have been made for easy assembly of the baseboards.
One of them is the invention No. 2017/20989, titled “BIR SLIPLIRGELiK MONTAJ APARATI” (A baseboard assembly apparatus). In said invention, a mounting apparatus which provides an assembly between the two edges of each walls (30) by a single apparatus is disclosed comprising a body located vertically along the wall surface a bottom edge of which is placed onto the ground and having a height equal to the height of the baseboard and at least one flange on said body, which is located at any edge
portion of the body being in vertical contact with the wall and is suitable for uses with the baseboards having different geometric structures in order to eliminate the necessity of assembling by using many apparatus due to the baseboards having different geometric structures.
In the invention No. 2007/05198, titled“Sabitleme elemam ve kanali olan supurgelik tertibati” (A baseboard arrangement having a securing element and a channel) relates to an arrangement comprising at least one securing element facilitating a practical assembly of the baseboard on the wall and having at least one lateral element having fitting tabs and at least one vertical element; and at least one channel facilitating the baseboard to be assembled onto the wall by being connected to said fitting tabs on said securing element and having at least one channel protrusion on said baseboard.
THE OBJECT OF THE INVENTION
The object of the invention is to provide an easy assembly of the baseboard by means of a manual driving apparatus.
Another object of the invention is to prevent trace formation on the baseboards by performing the driving step behind the baseboard.

DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The concealed pinned baseboard nail (1 ) of the invention comprises at least one nail head (1 .1 ) enabling the baseboards to be secured onto the wall by driving from behind by using more than one pins (1.1.1 ); the body (1 .2) enabling the nail (1 ) to be driven into the wall; and the securing element (1.3) enabling the nail (1 ) which is driven into the wall to be secured and stay on the wall in order to prevent gap formation between the wall and the baseboard, the nail appearance on the front surface of the baseboard, and the hole trace formation.
The baseboard nail (1 ) may consist of the washer body (1 .2.2) having the external connection element housing (1 .2.2.1 ) for securing the baseboard nail (1 ) by driving it into the wall via an external connection element such as dowel, screw, etc.; and at least one nail head (1.1 ) having a plurality of pins (1.1 .1 ) on it and facilitating the baseboards to be driven from behind and to be secured on the wall.
If the body (1.2) consists of a washer body (1 .2.2) as stated above, there is no need for a securing element (1.3) which enables the baseboard nail (1 ) driven into the wall to be secured and to stay on the wall. This is because the washer body (1 .2.2) functions also as the securing element (1.3) due to its shape.
Stabilization of the baseboard nail (1 ) on the wall is provided through its body (1 .2). The baseboard nail (1 ) may have a nail body (1.2.1 ) which enables it to be directly secured onto the wall by a nail structure or a washer body (1.2.2) which enables it to be secured onto the wall by an external connection element such as dowel, screw, etc.
The baseboard nail (1 ) having a nail body (1 .2.1 ) eliminates the use of any external connection element.
On the other hand the baseboard nail (1 ) having a washer body (1 .2.2) enables even thick baseboards to be thoroughly grabbed and secured due to its circular shape of the washer body (1 .2.2).
The nail head (1.1 ) is inserted into the baseboard from the back portion thereof. Therefore, there is no trace or deformation such as a hole on the front surface of the baseboard because of the nail.
The pins (1.1 .1 ) located on the nail head (1 .1 ) provides more secure stabilization of the nail (1 ) on the baseboard. The pins (1.1.1 ) may be made at the top surface of the nail head in a preferred number.
The baseboard nail (1 ) may also have more than one nail heads (1 .1 ). In the examples of our invention, the baseboard nails (1 ) were applied which have one nail head (1 .1 ) as illustrated in Fig. 2, two nail heads (1.1 ) and nail body (1 .2.1 ) as illustrated in Fig. 3.
In a further example of our invention, a baseboard nail (1 ) was applied which has four nail heads (1.1 ) and the washer body (1 .2.2) as illustrated in Fig. 4.
The baseboard nail (1 ) of the invention is made of steel in order to provide ease of mounting on the concrete and column surfaces and to increase the connection strength.
The connection of the baseboard and the wall can be provided rapidly, practically, and securely by the baseboard nail (1 ) of the invention without appearance of a connection element or any deformation on the front surface of the baseboard.
