Abstract
The invention relates to a box that can be self assembled in a single piece and which eliminates the use of a base-and-lid unit, with a vertical compressive strength greater than any box currently on the banana market. The special design reinforces the box at critical points where the packaging is subject to greater compression forces, ensuring its performance and improving vertical compressive strength and minimising the loss of bending stiffness of the base, and includes ventilation holes in the bottom part that ensure adequate airflow to ventilate the fruit and loading guides that ensure the correct alignment of the top box when the boxes are loaded or stacked.
