Abstract

Externally directed advertising system for closed passenger cars By means of an interactive system with a display (4), advertising messages are communicated to passers-by from the inside of automobiles.

Description

Externally directed advertising system for closed passenger cars
FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The invention relates to an interactive advertising system in parked vehicles that is directed to passengers outside.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION / PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED
Parked vehicles are highly effective advertising spaces for passers-by, because they regular- ly come into their field of vision and the advertising message must not be specially focused. However, such advertising communication has only limite effect, as there is generally no di- rect way for the recipient to develop a purchase or get in communication with the advertiser. For effective image advertising however, the usable areas are too small, unless the vehicle or trailer is widely covered with the advertisements. But that is contrary to traffic safety regu- lations, as well as impeding private use and prestige.
Already more effective are forms of advertising that trigger a direct reaction of the recipient.
In the case of parked vehicles, due to the regulations, this can only be done by means of advertising messages positioned in the interior of the vehicle. But these appear to be too conspicuous to the outside and there is initially hardly any handle for interacting. PRIOR ART
There are various forms of advertising on motor vehicles known. Thus, DE 10151545 (B2) and WO 22003 036 599 A3 propose a device to grasp interchangeable posters on body sur- faces in aluminium profiles mounted thereon. With DE 197 159 09, this should also be feasi- ble on truck tarpaulins, while DE 20 2012 01 17 59 also proposes for aircraft cabins.
However, such proposals to date include only pictorial representations and no interactive elements, apart from tear-off strips on posters and notes that contain contact phone num- bers, email-addresses or more, so that they do not yet have an interactive content.
TASK OF THE INVENTION
Object of the present invention is therefore to enable advertising with interactive function for pedestrians on parked cars.
SOLUTION The object is achieved in displays, placed on the rear shelf of cars near the window and equipped with sensors that allow interaction through the rear window.
In this case, the display can be a rigid representation, e.g. by an imprint or a glued-on foil. However, the preferred embodiment is with alternately switched LEDs, variable brightness or varying content on a digital display that allows pictorial representations to attract attention.
In a simple way, interactivity can be effected by the display having a scanable code which is decoded on a mobile phone with a corresponding app. Particularly suitable for this purpose are QR codes (this is a two-dimensional barcode).
With the recorded code and the app it is then possible to trigger actions that are replicated on the display and possibly controlled by the app.
An attachment offers itself here at the rear side windows of cars, on whose transparency according to legal regulations only limited requirements exist, if necessary also on the rear window.
In an optional embodiment, without the use of a mobile device of the recipient, the communi- cation takes place in that hand gestures are recognized from the system by means of pro- jected marking points and a camera and evaluated in such a way that actions can be solved.
In an extended version, it is possible to activate a traffic jam message on the display via a local radio signal.
CLOSER DESCRIPTION ALONG TO THE DRAWING
Fig. 1 shows the system structure by way of example on a round housing (1 ), consisting of the housing body (2) and the housing cover (3). Inside is a square self-illuminating display (4), which is partially visible through a round opening in the housing cover (5).
In the housing body (2) accumulators (6) and a control and charging unit (7) are mounted. In the housing cover mounted photovoltaic elements (8) conduct the electrical power generated there by means of power line (9) to the control and charging unit (7), this regulates and then directs the storage and the consumption of energy in the accumulators (6) via a power line (10).
The control and charging unit (7) controls the image contents of the display (4) via a data line (1 1 ), supplies it with electrical energy and controls LEDs (12).
