Abstract
The pilot study we carried on this extract has shown significant response to treatment with Balanites aegyptiaca extract with P value 0,0052. Since the response to treatment has included patients with non-hepatitis related liver cirrhosis the most likely effect of the extract can be attributed to its anti-fibrotic effect. Therefore we claim this to be effective in patients with liver fibrosis, cirrhosis, myocardial fibrosis and lung fibrosis and may be helpful in patients with chronic kidney disease.
