Abstract

Here we have an Event Processor Service which processes different events for different components of the cloud and based on these events will decide to schedule one or more tasks on different hardware or software components of the cloud. All the tasks execute independently on the different components of cloud and act as triggers for different events in the cloud. Also different events may be assigned priority and the scheduling of the set of tasks on different components of the cloud for the event will be based on the priority of the event. Event Processor Service will communicate to Task Scheduler Service in cloud with the help of a secure channel about executing different tasks on different components of the cloud and the Task Scheduler Service will launch separate processes on different components of the cloud for task execution.

Description

Event Based Task Scheduler for Cloud
In this invention we have different applications running on cloud which consists of components like compute node virtual machines, switching node virtual machines, storage node virtual machines, etc. We have an Event Processor Service which processes different events for different components of the cloud and based on these events will decide to schedule one or more tasks on different hardware or software components of the cloud.

1. The above novel technique of providing Event Based Task Scheduler for different components in cloud is the claim for this invention.
