Abstract
모듈형 센서 인터페이스 및 이를 적용한 IoT 센서 디바이스 패키지가 제공된다. 본 발명의 실시예에 따른 센서 디바이스 패키지는, 센서 모듈이 연결되는 커넥터 및 커넥터에 연결된 센서 모듈의 프로토콜을 인식하고, 인식된 프로토콜로 센서 모듈과 통신하는 디바이스 모듈을 포함한다. 이에 의해, 다양한 센서 모듈의 연결/사용을 위한 모듈형 센서 인터페이스 표준 기술이 적용된 IoT 센서 디바이스 패키지를 통해, IoT 디바이스에 다양한 센서를 Plug & Play 방식으로 장착 가능하여, 원하는 정보의 타입이나 센서가 변경 되는 경우 센서 모듈만을 교체함으로 데이터를 받을 수 있게 된다.
Description
본 발명은 IoT 관련 기술에 관한 것으로, 더욱 상세하게는 IoT 디바이스와 다양한 IoT 센서 간의 연동 인터페이스를 지원하는 모듈형 센서 인터페이스 및 이를 적용한 IoT 센서 디바이스 패키지에 관한 것이다.
센싱 기술은 IoT 기술의 핵심 내용 중 하나이다. IoT 서비스는 센싱 데이터를 기반으로 다양한 서비스를 생성/제공하는 것을 기본 골자로 한다. IoT 서비스의 다양화로 인하여, IoT 디바이스에는 아주 다양한 종류의 센서가 탑재되어 사용되고 있다.
이에 따라, 센서가 이용하고 있는 프로토콜(SPI, Serial, I2C, GPIO 등) 역시 매우 다양하다. 이는, 센서의 종류나 사양이 달라지게 되면, IoT 다바이스를 새로 만들어야 하는 문제를 유발한다.
이 문제점은 디바이스 개발자는 물론 서비스 이용자에게 많은 번거로움으로 이어지는 바, 이를 해소시키기 위한 방안의 모색이 요청된다.
본 발명은 상기와 같은 문제점을 해결하기 위하여 안출된 것으로서, 본 발명의 목적은, 다양한 센서 모듈의 연결/사용을 위한 모듈형 센서 인터페이스 표준 기술이 적용된 IoT 센서 디바이스 패키지를 제공함에 있다.
상기 목적을 달성하기 위한 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른, 센서 디바이스 패키지는, 센서 모듈이 연결되는 커넥터; 및 커넥터에 연결된 센서 모듈의 프로토콜을 인식하고, 인식된 프로토콜로 센서 모듈과 통신하는 디바이스 모듈;을 포함한다.
그리고, 커넥터에는, 다수의 프로토콜 중 어느 하나가 적용된 센서 모듈이 연결될 수 있다.
또한, 커넥터에는, 다수의 프로토콜에 따른 연결 핀들이 포함되고, 프로토콜을 인식하기 위한 핀들이 포함어 있을 수 있다.
그리고, 커넥터에는, 연결된 센서 모듈에 전원을 공급하기 위한 전원 공급 핀이 포함되어 있을 수 있다.
또한, 전원 공급 핀은, 커넥터에 연결된 센서 모듈에 공통적으로 사용될 수 있다.
그리고, 다수의 프로토콜은, SPI 프토로콜, Serial 프토로콜, I2C 프토로콜, GPIO 프토로콜 및 PWM 프토로콜을 포함할 수 있다.
또한, 커넥터에 연결되는 센서 모듈은, 교체가능할 수 있다.
한편, 본 발명의 다른 실시예에 따른, 센서 디바이스 통신 방법은, 커넥터에 연결된 센서 모듈의 프로토콜을 인식하는 단계; 및 인식된 프로토콜로 센서 모듈과 통신하는 단계;을 포함한다.
이상 설명한 바와 같이, 본 발명의 실시예들에 따르면, 다양한 센서 모듈의 연결/사용을 위한 모듈형 센서 인터페이스 표준 기술이 적용된 IoT 센서 디바이스 패키지를 통해, IoT 디바이스에 다양한 센서를 Plug & Play 방식으로 장착 가능하여, 원하는 정보의 타입이나 센서가 변경 되는 경우 센서 모듈만을 교체함으로 데이터를 받을 수 있게 된다.
또한, 본 발명의 실시예들에 따르면, 센서의 수명에 따른 교체시 IoT 디바이스 자체의 교체 없이 모듈형 센서만을 교체하여 IoT 디바이스 운영에 필요한 유지보수 비용을 절감할 수 있게 된다.

이하에서는 도면을 참조하여 본 발명을 보다 상세하게 설명한다.
도 1은 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른, IoT 센서 디바이스 패키지의 개념도이다. 본 발명의 실시예에 따른 IoT 센서 디바이스 패키지는, 범용의 디바이스에 다양한 프로토콜이 적용된 센서들을 선택적으로 결합할 수 있는 패키지 타입의 IoT 디바이스이다.
이와 같은 특성을 갖는 본 발명의 실시예에 따른 IoT 센서 디바이스 패키지는, 도 1에 도시된 바와 같이, 디바이스 모듈(110), 복합 커넥터(120) 및 센서 모듈(130)을 포함한다.
센서 모듈(130)은 환경, 장비, 인체 등의 다양한 대상을 센싱하여 데이터를 생성하는 수단이다. 센서 모듈(130)은 다양한 종류의 센서로 구현되는 것에서 나아가, 동종의 센서라 하더라도 다양한 프로토콜이 적용될 수 있다.
이를 테면, 센서 모듈(130)은, SPI 프토로콜, Serial 프토로콜, I2C 프토로콜, GPIO 프토로콜 및 PWM 프토로콜 등으로 구현될 수 있으며, 이는 센서 모듈(130)의 필요와 사양에 의해 결정된다.
복합 커넥터(120)에는 센서 모듈(130)이 장착된다. 복합 커넥터(120)에는 다양한 프로토콜의 센서 모듈(130)이 장착될 수 있다. 복합 커넥터(120)의 물리적 규격 및 구조에 대해서는 상세히 후술한다.
디바이스 모듈(110)은 복합 커넥터(120)에 연결된 센서 모듈(130)의 프로토콜을 인식하고, 인식된 프로토콜로 센서 모듈(130)과 통신한다.
디바이스 모듈(110)에 의한 센서 모듈(130)의 인식은 자동으로 이루어진다. 즉, 디바이스 모듈(110)은 Plug&Play 방식으로 복합 커넥터(120)에 연결된 센서 모듈(130)을 인식/연결한다. 이는, 센서 모듈(130)이 복합 커넥터(120)에 최초로 연결된 경우는 물론이고, 복합 커넥터(120)에 연결된 센서 모듈(130)이 교체된 경우도 마찬가지이다.
디바이스 모듈(110)은 수집한 센서 모듈(130)을 통해 수집한 데이터를 IoT 서비스에 이용할 수 있도록 게이트웨이를 통해 서버에 전달한다.
이하에서는, 도 1에 도시된 복합 커넥터(120)에 대해, 도 2를 참조하여 상세히 설명한다. 도 2는, 도 1에 도시된 복합 커넥터(120)의 구조를 개념적으로 도시한 도면이다.
도 2에 도시된 바와 같이, 복합 커넥터(120)에는 다수의 프로토콜에 따른 연결 핀들이 구비되어 있다. 구체적으로, 1) SPI 프토로콜에 따라 통신하기 위한 연결 핀들, 2) I2C 프토로콜에 따라 통신하기 위한 연결 핀들, 3) Serial 프토로콜에 따라 통신하기 위한 연결 핀들, 4) GPIO 프토로콜에 따라 통신하기 위한 연결 핀들 및 5) PWM 프토로콜에 따라 통신하기 위한 연결 핀들이 구비되어 있다.
나아가, 복합 커넥터(120)에는 프로토콜을 인식하기 위한 핀들이 포함되어 있다. 구체적으로, 도 2의 좌측에 도시된 5개의 Enable 신호 핀들이 이 기능을 수행한다. 센서 모듈(130)은 복합 커넥터(120)에 장착시 Enable 신호 핀들 중 자신이 해당하는 프로토콜의 Enable 신호 핀에만 연결된다.
이에, 디바이스 모듈(110)은 Enable 신호 핀들을 통해 복합 커넥터(120)에 연결된 센서 모듈(130)의 프로토콜이 무엇인지 인식할 수 있다.
한편, 복합 커넥터(120)에는 장착된 센서 모듈(130)에 전원을 공급하기 위한 전원 공급 핀(Vcc 핀, GND 핀)이 구비되어 있다. 전원 공급 핀(Vcc 핀, GND 핀)은 복합 커넥터(120)에 장착된 모든 종류의 센서 모듈(130)에 대해 공통적으로 사용되어 전원을 공급한다. 즉, 복합 커넥터(120)에 장착되는 모든 센서 모듈(130)은 전원 공급 핀(Vcc 핀, GND 핀)에 연결되도록 설계된다.
도 3은, 도 1에 도시된 디바이스 모듈(110)의 상세 블럭도이다. 디바이스 모듈(110)은, 도 3에 도시된 바와 같이, 컨트롤러(111), 통신 모듈(112) 및 메모리(113)를 포함한다.
컨트롤러(111)는 복합 커넥터(120)의 각 핀들(전원 공급 핀 제외)에 연결되어, 복합 커넥터(120)에는 장착된 센서 모듈(130)의 프로토콜을 인식한다. 구체적으로, 복합 커넥터(120)의 Enable 신호 핀들 중 논리 레벨이 "High"인 Enable 신호 핀을 판별하여, 센서 모듈(130)의 프로토콜을 인식한다.
그리고, 컨트롤러(111)는 인식된 프로토콜에 따라 센서 모듈(130)이 연결된 복합 커넥터(120)의 해당 프토로콜의 통신을 위한 연결 핀들을 통해 센서 모듈(130)과 통신한다.
통신 모듈(112)은 센서 모듈(130)로부터 수신한 센서 데이터를 게이트웨이를 통해 서버로 전송하기 위한 통신 수단이다. 메모리(113)는 컨트롤러(111)가 동작함에 있어 필요한 프로그램과 데이터가 저장되는 저장공간이다.
도 4는 본 발명의 다른 실시예에 따른, IoT 센서 디바이스 동작 과정의 설명에 제공되는 흐름도이다.
도 4에 도시된 바와 같이, 복합 커넥터(120)에 센서 모듈(130)이 장착되면(S210), 디바이스 모듈(110)의 컨트롤러(111)는 S210단계에서 장착된 센서 모듈(130)의 프로토콜을 인식한다(S220).
S220단계는, 복합 커넥터(120)의 Enable 신호 핀들 중 논리 레벨이 "High"인 Enable 신호 핀을 판별함으로써, 센서 모듈(130)의 프로토콜을 인식하는 것이 가능하다.
다음, 컨트롤러(111)는 인식된 프로토콜에 따라 센서 모듈(130)과 통신하여(S230), 센서 데이터를 수집한다(S240). S230단계에서의 통신은 센서 모듈(130)이 연결된 복합 커넥터(120)의 해당 프토로콜의 통신을 위한 연결 핀들을 통해 이루어진다.
이후, 컨트롤러(111)는 S240단계를 통해 수집한 센서 데이터를 통신 모듈(112)을 통해 게이트웨이로 전달한다(S250). 게이트웨이로 전달된 센서 데이터는 궁극적으로 서버로 전송된다.
지금까지, 모듈형 센서 인터페이스 및 이를 적용한 IoT 센서 디바이스 패키지에 대해 바람직한 실시예를 들어 상세히 설명하였다.
본 발명의 실시예에서는, IoT 디바이스의 다양한 센서의 모듈형 적용을 위한 하드웨어 인터페이스 표준 기술을 제시하였으며, 이에 의해, IoT 디바이스에 다양한 센서를 Plug & play 방식으로 탑재가 가능하여 원하는 정보의 타입이나 센서가 변경 되는 경우 센서 모듈만을 교체함으로 데이터를 받을 수 있는 방식을 제공하였다.
나아가, 본 발명의 실시예에서는, 센서의 수명에 따른 교체를 IoT 디바이스 자체의 교체를 하기 보다는 모듈형 센서만을 교체하여 IoT 디바이스 운영에 필요한 유지보수 비용의 절감 효과를 제공하였다.
한편, 위 실시예에서는, 복합 커넥터(120)에 1개의 센서 모듈(130)이 장착되는 것을 상정하였는데 예시적인 것에 불과하다. 복합 커넥터(120) 2개 이상의 센서 모듈(130)이 함께 장착되는 경우에도 본 발명의 기술적 사상이 적용될 수 있음은 물론이다.
한편, 본 실시예에 따른 장치와 방법의 기능을 수행하게 하는 컴퓨터 프로그램을 수록한 컴퓨터로 읽을 수 있는 기록매체에도 본 발명의 기술적 사상이 적용될 수 있음은 물론이다. 또한, 본 발명의 다양한 실시예에 따른 기술적 사상은 컴퓨터로 읽을 수 있는 기록매체에 기록된 컴퓨터로 읽을 수 있는 코드 형태로 구현될 수도 있다. 컴퓨터로 읽을 수 있는 기록매체는 컴퓨터에 의해 읽을 수 있고 데이터를 저장할 수 있는 어떤 데이터 저장 장치이더라도 가능하다. 예를 들어, 컴퓨터로 읽을 수 있는 기록매체는 ROM, RAM, CD-ROM, 자기 테이프, 플로피 디스크, 광디스크, 하드 디스크 드라이브, 등이 될 수 있음은 물론이다. 또한, 컴퓨터로 읽을 수 있는 기록매체에 저장된 컴퓨터로 읽을 수 있는 코드 또는 프로그램은 컴퓨터간에 연결된 네트워크를 통해 전송될 수도 있다.
또한, 이상에서는 본 발명의 바람직한 실시예에 대하여 도시하고 설명하였지만, 본 발명은 상술한 특정의 실시예에 한정되지 아니하며, 청구범위에서 청구하는 본 발명의 요지를 벗어남이 없이 당해 발명이 속하는 기술분야에서 통상의 지식을 가진자에 의해 다양한 변형실시가 가능한 것은 물론이고, 이러한 변형실시들은 본 발명의 기술적 사상이나 전망으로부터 개별적으로 이해되어져서는 안될 것이다.
Claims (8)
- 센서 모듈이 연결되는 커넥터; 및커넥터에 연결된 센서 모듈의 프로토콜을 인식하고, 인식된 프로토콜로 센서 모듈과 통신하는 디바이스 모듈;을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 센서 디바이스 패키지.
- 청구항 1에 있어서,커넥터에는,다수의 프로토콜 중 어느 하나가 적용된 센서 모듈이 연결되는 것을 특징으로 하는 센서 디바이스 패키지.
- 청구항 2에 있어서,커넥터에는,다수의 프로토콜에 따른 연결 핀들이 포함되고,프로토콜을 인식하기 위한 핀들이 포함되는 것을 특징으로 하는 센서 디바이스 패키지.
- 청구항 3에 있어서,커넥터에는,연결된 센서 모듈에 전원을 공급하기 위한 전원 공급 핀이 포함되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 센서 디바이스 패키지.
- 청구항 4에 있어서,전원 공급 핀은,커넥터에 연결된 센서 모듈에 공통적으로 사용되는 것을 특징으로 하는 센서 디바이스 패키지.
- 청구항 2에 있어서,다수의 프로토콜은,SPI 프토로콜, Serial 프토로콜, I2C 프토로콜, GPIO 프토로콜 및 PWM 프토로콜을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 센서 디바이스 패키지.
- 청구항 1에 있어서,커넥터에 연결되는 센서 모듈은,교체가능한 것을 특징으로 하는 센서 디바이스 패키지.
- 커넥터에 연결된 센서 모듈의 프로토콜을 인식하는 단계;인식된 프로토콜로 센서 모듈과 통신하는 단계;을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 센서 디바이스 통신 방법.
