[0001] The present invention relates to the relief of bruxism. In particular, the present invention relates to a device that comprises at least four components and is used for the detection, monitoring and correction of bruxism.
ANTECEDENTES DE LA INVENCIÓN BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[0002] One of the problems that in recent decades has severely disrupted active society and that is the result of constant stress experimentation, in the different roles in which the individual develops, is the "bruxism" disorder. . This disorder is identified by an exacerbated amount of contractions and grinding of teeth that manifest mainly during sleep. Although stress can be represented in multifactorial ways, it has been studied and there is evidence that a large part of the population experiences movement disorder in the masticatory system as a nocturnal or waking manifestation, which is shown by increasing non-functional muscle activity. in the area, which results in painful alterations in the craniocervical-mandibular area, where the temporomandibular joints are located. The most common disorders of nocturnal bruxism are earaches, cracking in chewing, headaches, wear or tearing of dentures, difficulty or tiredness when chewing hard foods, as well as a new disease known as tinnitus, characterized by perception of a continuous and permanent sound (buzzing) in the individual.
Lavigne, P.H. Rompré, G. Poirier, H. Huard, T. Kato, J.Y. Montplaisir, “Rhythmic Masticatory Muscle Activity during Sleep in Humans”, J. Dent. Poirier, H. Huard, T. Kato, JY Montplaisir, “Rhythmic Masticatory Muscle Activity during Sleep in Humans, ”J. Dent. Res., (2001), Vol. 80, Issue 2, pp. 443 ^ 148 https://doi.org/10.1177/00220345010800020801), notes that a large number of the population (60%) present what is known as a rhythmic masticatory muscle activity (RMMA) at a frequency of 1.7 episodes per hour of sleep. In contrast, the presence of sleep bruxism is characterized by repetitive (physical) or sustained (tonic) muscle contractions occurring at a greater frequency of 5.4 episodes per hour at an intensity of 30% to 40% higher with respect to the RMMA of normal subjects .

[0016] US4715367A discloses a multifunctional behavior modification device to diagnose, treat and control the treatment of snoring, bruxism or sleep apnea, and which consists of an aversive adjustable shock; said document fails to describe the actuator element that emits heat, the emission of sound, the oral guard, communication with the smart device and data monitoring.
[0017] According to these references, there is a need to overcome the deficiencies of the state of the art, so it is proposed to inventively combine some of the techniques traditionally used to reduce bruxism disorders, as well as the incorporation of new technologies invasive to guarantee the quality of sleep, relaxation and productive capacity of! individual.
[0018] With regard to the signal system for the detection of bruxism, oral protection devices now incorporate mechanisms to an electronic package adapted to detachably join a dental device. The dental appliance can be configured to be secured inside the user's mouth and the electronic parts come with an extension to be able to adapt them externally to the user's mouth and thus connect it to the dental appliance (US2016 / 0095740).
[0019] Other inventions provide portable devices and techniques for monitoring bruxism or sleep apnea related to bruxism. (US2013 / 0253286). These techniques provide a customized tooth guard and jaws that are configured to be attached to at least some of the teeth, both in the upper jaw and in the lower jaw according to the predetermined resistance of grinding the teeth in the positions. . Although the grinding of the teeth is reduced, it can be seen that the device can generate additional efforts and subsequently cause jaw pain.
[0020] To lessen the impact and wear of the teeth, some inventions propose the use of a dental device designed to protect the teeth against injuries from impacts suffered in sports or other activities that can cause chipping, fracturing, eviction or complete loss of the dental piece The apparatus can be adapted as at least one cavity has an energy absorption fluid. The energy absorbing fluid should be nanosuspensions of small particles in viscous fluids that can undergo shear thickening when the dental object hits the dental apparatus (US2015 / 0328526). The device dampens and diffuses horizontal and axial forces and moves them away from teething, thus reducing the risk of dental injuries. Within these devices for treatment is a haptic feedback device, which contains a pressure sensor that activates a vibration when a pressure is recorded above the programmed threshold.
