Abstract

The present invention discloses a portable gonioscopy system comprising a portable gonioscope, said portable gonioscope further comprising a goniolens assembly, a body further comprising a light source with a filtering means, image capturing means such as a microscope lens and a viewing lens or device capable of recording images; and said portable gonioscope being coupled to a viewing means and a recording means. This portable gonioscope provides an alternative device to slit lamp gonioscope, which allows ophthalmological examination specially in the iridocorneal angle of the eye, anywhere possible outside of a hospital, thereby bringing convenience for field works and medical missions in remote areas.
