Description

DOUBLE LAYERED LIQUID BOTTLE
FIELD OF INVENTION:
[001] The present subject matter described herein, relates to structure of liquid bottle and, in particularly, to redesigned liquid bottle which keeps liquid, such as drinking water cold up to 4 more hours.
BACKGROUND AND PRIOR ART:
[002] Generally, the liquid bottle has cap and cylinder design to hold liquid water. Further, thermo bottle are heavy in weight and very expensive.
[003] Further, when existing plastic water bottle containing beverage is used after freezing the beverage in summer, a large amount of dew condensation is generated around the outer surface of the PET bottle due to the temperature difference between the inside and outside of the PET bottle. Accordingly, when the frozen PET bottle is put in a bag or carried by a user's hand, condensed water causes wetness of a neighboring object or the user's hand or causes dirt or filth to attach to the PET bottle.
[004] Moreover, if the PET bottle is used after the beverage contained in the PET bottle has been frozen, the heat transfer through a relatively thin wall of the PET bottle is active and causes the frozen beverage in the PET bottle to melt at a fast speed, thereby making it impossible to drink the cold beverage for a long time. Likewise, if the PET bottle is used to contain warm beverage, the warm beverage cools down fast.
[005] Therefore, there is need in the art to provide a technical solution for the above mentioned problems. The present subject matter provides a technical solution by heat retention.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION:
[006] The present drinking water bottle is made up of two compartment, i.e., inner compartment or inner bottle and an outer compartment or outer bottle. Further, there is an air gap or air layer in between the inner compartment and the outer compartment. The air layer act as an insulation layer for heat retention and avoid formation of dew layer on outer surface of the outer compartment. The inner compartment is in cylindrical shape to hold the liquid. The cold water is to be filled in the inner compartment. Further, it has been tested and proved that the present double layered liquid bottle does not allow the cold water to heat up quickly and it may take from 2½ and 4½ more hours to reach the same temperature that it would take if it was just one bottle as is the case now a days in the drinking water bottle.

The novel features which are believed to be characteristic of the present subject matter, both as to its organization and method of operation, together with further objects and advantages will be better understood from the following description when considered in connection with the accompanying figures.
[0013] These and other advantages of the present subject matter would be described in greater detail with reference to the following figures. It should be noted that the description merely illustrates the principles of the present subject matter. It will thus be appreciated that those skilled in the art will be able to devise various arrangements that, although not explicitly described herein, embody the principles of the present subject matter and are included within its scope.
[0014] Figure 1 illustrates structure of double layered liquid bottle, in accordance with an embodiment of the present subject matter. As shown in the figure 1, the double layered liquid bottle 100 has a mouthpiece 104 from where liquid can be inserted and dispensed. Further, the mouth piece 104 has a first end l04a and a second end l04b. The double layered liquid bottle 100 has an inner compartment 101 which is diverging from circumference of the second end l04b of the mouthpiece 104, and an outer compartment 103 which is diverging from circumference of the second end l04b of the mouthpiece 104. Section view B-B shows the divergence of inner and outer compartment 101, 103. There is an air gap or air layer 102 in between the inner compartment 101 and the outer compartment 103. The air layer 102 act as an insulation layer to insulate the heat loss from the inner compartment of the bottle. The air layer 102 has pressurized air inside which restrict increase or decrease in temperature of liquid inside the inner compartment 101. Those skilled in the art will appreciate that the air layer could be easily replaced by a layer of some other inert or noble gas.
[0015] Further, the inner compartment 101 has substantially hemispherical shape at lower end. The outer compartment 103 has flat base 105 at lower end to place and support the double layered liquid bottle 100 in vertical position. Dimensions of the inner compartment 101 are smaller than the outer compartment 103. Further, size of the inner compartment 101 can be optimized based on the requirements of the container/bottle.
[0016] Generally, the water bottle is a container that is used to hold water, liquids or other beverages for consumption. The use of a water bottle allows an individual to transport, and drink, a beverage from one place to another. A water bottle is usually made of plastic, glass, or metal. Water bottles are available in different shapes, colors and sizes. Water bottles can be either disposable or reusable. Reusable water bottles can also be used for water, liquids such as juice, iced tea, alcoholic beverages, or soft drinks. Reusable water bottle can help save the environment, through reducing waste.
[0017] The plastic bottles used to hold potable water are made from polyethylene terephthalate (PET), because the material is both strong and light. The PET is a thermoplastic polymer that can be either opaque or transparent, depending on the exact material composition. As with most plastics, PET is produced from petroleum hydrocarbons, through a reaction between ethylene glycol and terephthalic acid. The PET is chosen because it is inexpensive, lightweight, reseal- able, shatter-resistant and recyclable.
[0018] In the present subject matter, the double layered liquid bottle is made from the recyclable PET. The present double layered liquid bottle is made from stretch blow molding process. The blow molding process is well known to a person skilled in the art.
[0019] The double layered liquid bottle 100 has been tested and proved that the present bottle does not allow the cold water to heat up quickly and it may take from 2 ½ and 4½ more hours to reach the same temperature that it would take if it was just one bottle as is the case now a days in the drinking water bottles sold as seen at railway stations, etc. in India
[0020] It is seen that passengers travelling most specifically in summer need cold drinking water for their journey. In the bottles available so far the water of 0°C gains heat and reaches a temperature of l8°C in about one hour and a temperature 27 °C in 2 ½ hours whereas in the present double layered liquid bottle the temperature reaches the same temperatures in 3½hours and 7 hours, respectively. This means the consumer can have the benefits of colder water for a period that is increased from 2½ to 4½ hours more. So the object of the/invention is to let the consumer have water retain its colder temperature for a much longer time. The present subject matter has been so designed that it may not impact the cost part of the sale price.
[0021] The present bottle is environment friendly.
[0022] Recycled polyethylene terephthalate (RPET) can be used to make many new products, including fiber for polyester carpet; fabric for T-shirts, long underwear, athletic shoes, luggage, upholstery and sweaters; fiberfill for sleeping bags and winter coats; industrial strapping, sheet and film; automotive parts, such as luggage racks, headliners, fuse boxes, bumpers, grilles and door panels; and new PET containers for both food and non-food products.
[0023] The present bottle is cost effective. [0024] Drinking water bottles are an item of mass consumption and needs to be priced as low as possible to make it within the reach of even the poor people. This is only possible when the cost of production is low. Accordingly such bottles are produced with batch sizes running in lakhs and on automatic plants that make these continuously.
[0025] The present bottles can be manufactured using blow molding process.
[0026] Although embodiments for the present subject matter have been described in language specific to structural features, it is to be understood that the present subject matter is not necessarily limited to the specific features described. Rather, the specific features and methods are disclosed as embodiments for the present subject matter. Numerous modifications and adaptations of the system/component of the present invention will be apparent to those skilled in the art, and thus it is intended by the appended claims to cover all such modifications and adaptations which fall within the scope of the present subject matter.
