Abstract

Provided are a network connection method and apparatus. The method is used for a terminal, and comprises: generating first information, wherein the first information is used for representing the type of a network that a terminal expects to be connected to; and sending the first information to a base station, such that when it is determined, according to the first information, that the access of the terminal is allowed, the base station determines a network device to be connected to for the terminal, and connects the terminal to the network device to be connected to. Therefore, in the present disclosure, a base station can learn, according to first information, the type of a network that a terminal expects to be connected to, wherein same facilitates the selection of a suitable network device for the terminal and the execution of connection, thereby satisfying the network requirements of the terminal and further improving the efficiency of network connection.
