Somente em 2015, o Brasil contabilizou perdas que chegaram a R$ 115,603 bilhões devido a contrabando, pirataria e sonegação, segundo o fórum contra a Pirataria. A pirataria está presente em diversos setores inclusive na saúde que pode além de causar prejuízos financeiros, físicos, ás vezes permanentes. Faking products is a big problem all over the world. Ou na patente PCT/ES2012/07027 que diz respeito a uso de código qr em embalagem de cigarro como forma de autenticação e rastreamento ou ainda na patente 1020160006810 que diz respeito a impressão de um código qr nas garrafas de vinhos. Devido a tecnologia existente de hoje o falsificador é capaz de falsificar a maioria destes mecanismos (lacre, qr code, código de barra, selo de autentificação, gravação a laser, etc) inclusive as embalagens de modo perfeito e preciso, que passa muitas vezes desapercebido pelo usuário; como exemplo nas embalagens de perfume, whisky, etc. Ou ainda os falsificadores podem reutilizar a embalagem do produto; reutilizar o código do produto verdadeiro para um produto falso, ou clonar, copiar, o código que fica exposto na embalagem. O sistema de verificação de produto falsificado funcionará da seguinte forma: Virá um comprimido em uma embalagem junto ao produto. Após todos os espaços serem preenchidos, o usuário deverá apertar o ok ou enter (figura 4 n° 17). Feito isso o sistema tecnológico reconhecerá se todos os códigos preenchidos condiz com a produção na matriz e gerará três possíveis mensagens: 1 - Produto original(verdadeiro), 2 - Código inexistente (provavelmente falso), 3- Código já registrado, 4- Código não registrado (não foi usado o comprimido). Após ter sido conferido como original, neste endereço eletrônico, o usuário será encaminhado e pode optar em fazer o registro do produto em seu nome ou nome da empresa. Caso ele opte em registrar o produto em seu nome, o código que ficou no produto quando escaneado novamente, apareceria o nome do registrador e a data em que ele foi registrado, ou caso o usuário não quisesse ser identificado apareceria somente produto registrado e a data automaticamente. A fixação do mesmo caso se opte por fixar e não imprimir, será com cola e papel solúvel em água com o código impresso, através de máquina própria.
