Description

DISPOSITIVO DE APOYO AL APRENDIZAJE, COMUNICACIÓN Y CONTROL DE ARTEFACTOS Y OTROS DISPOSITIVOS  SUPPORT DEVICE FOR LEARNING, COMMUNICATION AND CONTROL OF ARTIFACTS AND OTHER DEVICES
ESTADO DE LA TÉCNICA STATE OF THE ART
Children with cerebral palsy, severe motor disabilities, and even adults with conditions that limit their motor skills, reaching in those cases with severe disabilities to limit or totally deprive them of speech, among others, even though in many cases they present a normal cognitive structure for their learning and social performance, are often limited by the lack of adapted integral alternatives that make it easier to learn, perform, express their creativity and relate to their peers or other people, and control and interact with other devices or devices with electronic components, especially in an environment strongly interconnected through the Internet, and especially with alternatives that adjust to the financial capacity of households or institutions with limited resources.
However, the use of the conventional keyboard or a touch keyboard, the mechanism of interaction preferred by most digital devices currently available, is extremely complex for those who have difficulty in hand coordination and voluntary use of their superior members.
Other mechanisms or devices currently developed or simplify the interaction to particular concepts limited through buttons identified on touch screens with images (US 20170000635) whose meaning is determined by the manufacturer and / or very restrictive, which makes it impossible to learning and scarcely limits itself to communicating specific and specific messages; or devices based on the use of external physical interaction devices (US0056857I9) visual and / or helped by external pointers to keyboards, which require extreme effort to be used by children or adults with severe motor disabilities, regardless of their cognitive ability.
En el componente secundario, el usuario selecciona caracteres para un área de contenido bidimensional. i Likewise, in the state of the art several partial options have been developed to provide devices for learning and communication of people with disabilities. For example, document US 2012/194439 discloses an apparatus and a method for providing assistance in communication and academic achievement to people who have a disability of fine motor coordination. A computer is provided having a software and a storage medium having a plurality of potential user expressions. At least one user screen is in communication with the computer on which a plurality of possible user expressions can be displayed. A plurality of widely spaced controls are provided in association with the user screen corresponding to the potential user expressions. The invention relates to an electronic device, whose arrangement can be mono or formed by multiple modules -Figure 1, 3, 5 to 7 and its operating method, which serves to support one or more users (simultaneously or alternating ) in: (a) Learning in different thematic areas or subjects, under a multilevel system that adapts according to the user's progress; (b) Facilitate communication between people located in the direct environment of the user through the sound reproduction of phonemes and messages, as well as with other people at a distance, through communication supported by electronic equipment, including cell phones; (c) Configure, communicate with, and / or control devices and physical devices that have electronic, sensors and / or actuators, and connectivity. The device is supported by a progressive multiple selection process, assisted by a computer program which controls the self-configuring device itself according to the modules or devices interacting with the central unit at a specific time.
The user of the support device for which it is mainly designed are children and older adults, with normal or slightly reduced cognitive capacity, or equally those with a disability so severe that it affects their speech capacity, who together mainly manifest disability or motor problems. means to severe or other constraints that prevent or complicate the person making fine movements, often with their upper extremities, holding instruments, making fine strokes, fine selection of interaction mechanisms (such as the keyboard or other similar, for example ), among others. These disabilities restrict access to traditional learning and interaction systems, mainly to digital systems, conditioned by access systems that demand fine mobility. Likewise, users with limited social autonomous performance product of said disability, both from communication with third parties, as well as access to systems that allow them to interact with other devices and physical devices with electronic components designed frequently for such fine or light movements.
The device has ample capacity for growth both at the level of its programming and its physical elements, giving it functional versatility as it is coupled with different modules, and adaptability of both use (achieving reduced to a minimum expression when it does not require more functionality and / or few mechanisms of interaction with the user, for example to facilitate mobility in the user's movements, or to be significantly extended by interconnecting modules and / or external systems that enhance the capacity of the device for another determined functionality, with a self-configuring system depending on what is found interconnected at that time) as well as accessibility (users can access a minimal but widely scalable system over time). This versatility, combined with the programming and assisted multiple-selection method facilitates that under a single device, adapting different modules, it can interact with multiple devices and physical devices that have electronic and connectivity, allowing the user to obtain more autonomy, reduce human efforts, extending the potential of their actions in the home and / or the environments where it develops.
In the Assisted Platform of Progressive Selection: -PASP- the user operates the device by means of a progressive matrix selection from a set or group of individualized entries forming a selection mechanism, a mechanism that through its external physical identification at the hardware level and internal in the PASP, the user interacts to access the selection of multiple alternatives, advancing to the detailed option desired in a progressive manner.

The method on which the functionality of the device is accessed is articulated on the Progressive Selection of Multiple Alternatives -SPMA-, through a self-configuring computer platform in a personalized way for each user, as well as according to the number and type of modules or interconnected peripheral mechanisms, to compose or integrate more complex goals according to the selected process and the function desired by the user. The SP A process is articulated in the presentation of multiple matrices, visualized through the integrated screen (c, c * oc ** ) to the CPU or the connected visualization modules or mechanisms (I o), each matrix individually identified between yes, for example by the color, with one or more elements inside, showing, according to the configuration of the number of arrays displayed -NMD- simultaneously and the screen size to be used. The maximum number of matrices to be used -NME- by the user (usually 2 to 10), value greater than or equal to NMD and also configured by the user, limits the maximum number of elements within each matrix, this number corresponding to NME, regardless of whether they are displayed simultaneously or not on the screen. Using the menu mechanism (g, g (ll) * , or g2 (ll) * * ) -from now on simply g- the user can reach the matrices that are not yet displayed on the screen, and the selection of options it will do through the function mechanisms (f, f (ll) * , f1 (ll) * * or f2 (ll) * *) -frequently simply f-.
