Abstract

Movable hinges can be used to easily open doors in small spaces, where there exist limitations for the use of doors with common hinges and even slide doors. This device definitely provides users with total accessibility of both space and door mobility. In this invention, two hinges are connected to two wheels, moving on two separate rails, installed on the top and bottom of the doors. When pushing or pulling the doors to the sides (lateral movement), it moves on the rails and distances itself from the frame. Simultaneously, the hinges are led to the opposite sides, and the door can even get out of the frame completely. As movable hinges are easily installed and change functions, this device can let 100% accessibility of the through the door frame. Therefore, it is mostly practical in small places like bedrooms, offices, sea crafts, storage rooms and even space crafts and etc.

Description

BACKGROUND
Filed of the Invention
This Device can be used in different industries including wood and building industry (door of closets and small spaces), air-plane industry, ship industry, submarines, trains, and any small space which does not let the use of common hinges such as small bedrooms, offices, hospitals, yachts, ships, submarines, storage rooms, department store and even space shuttles and space stations.
Background of the Invention
In small spaces like small bed-rooms which are common in the buildings, because of the bed-frame, there is not sufficient space for the closet doors to open freely, and if they open, they limit the space of the shelves. Common doors move on the rails to the left or right which extremely limit the use of the closets. In this way, it is not easy to accommodate properties like mattress or suitcases or any big box. That is why the drawing doors are not a good option. To solve the problem, the need exists, then, to use movable hinges, designed and built in this invention. Regarding the afore-mentioned description and the studies done, the hinge which can solve the problem, was not found in the market, and all the existing different hinges need specific space to open or like drawing-doors block a part of the entrance. Unlike any other hinges, this device using the minimum space (two times the door thickness) makes the whole closet accessible to the user. Hence, this device can be mounted on any normal door and make it possible for the door detach from the door-frame and move to the sides along the rail in small spaces. In this way, the entire space of the closet is accessible to the user.
SUMMARY
Considering the fact that doors equipped with movable hinges move along the door-frame and out of it, there is no need for much space like common doors. The door gets out of the door-frame and distances itself from the frame and moves on the rail to the side moving the hinges to the other side and lets 100% accessibility to the closets.
This device, in addition to being cheaper and more economical than the existing ones, is even more complete and also uses the least space to give 100% accessibility to the user.
The movable hinged door is easily installed and changes its functions; hence, there is no need to spend extra expenses to change or mend the door itself. Its use becomes highly remarkable in airplanes, ships, submarines and trains where the spaces are very limited. Furthermore, since the door appearance does not differ from regular doors (as the elements are installed internal), the cabinets and door appearance do not alter. DEATAILED DESCRIPTION OF CERTAIN EMBODIMENTS
To use this invention, based on the design, with the use of mobile tubes on the top and bottom of the door, together with the railings, the parts can be installed while the regular hinges are still attached. In order for the adjustment not to change, the internal parts are screwed into the door and in the end, the regular hinges are removed from the door to operate on the new installment.
As described earlier, this invention is highly usable in industries involving building construction (residential, business centers, malls, hospitals etc.), air industries, ship and submarine related industries, trains and basically wherever space is a key value yet very limited and there is a need for doors to be opened in all different angles.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
According to the drawings, doors, hinges, and rails can all be seen from inside and outside (for left / right opening doors and both-opening doors). Right opening doors move toward left and get out of the door-frame and for left- opening doors, it is vice versa. For the both-opening doors, the right turning hinge is mounted on the left door, while the left turning hinge is mounted on the right door. In this way, the left door can move to the left and the right door to the right as well.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
The embodiments of this inventions will be best understood by reference to the drawings, wherein like parts are designated by like numerals throughout. These illustrations are merely provided to ease the understanding of this invention and not intended to limit the scope of the invention.
Figure 1. is the Outside view of a typical closet with a right-opening door. The door is labeled 1 and the frame is labeled 2. There u can see a wheel 3, which is connected to a vertical wedge 4 that attaches the wheel to the door, which keeps the door balanced during movement.
Figure 2. is the internal view of a typical closet with a right-opening door labeled 2. Number 5 is the upper rail and 6 is the lower rail. These rails guide roller bearings which are located inside these rails. You can see the upper movable hinge with it's components 7 and the lower movable hinge with it's components 8.
Figure 3. is the upper movable hinge. Number 5 is the upper rail located at the top of the hinge. A vertically placed roller bearing 9 is located in the rail which is attached to the hinge by a base roller 10; the roller bearings moves the hinge along the rail. The base roller is connected to a bolt and nut 11 which is connected a triangular piece of metal 12. The triangular part is also connected by another bolt and nut 13 to the horizontal plate of the hinge 14. The vertical plate 15, which is fixed directly on the door, is connected to the horizontal plate of the hinge through a third set of bolt and nut 16.
Figure 4. is the lower movable hinge. Number 18 is the vertical plate which is directly connected to the door simultaneously its connected to the horizontal plate 20 through the bolt and nut 17. The horizontal plate is connected to the second vertical plate 21 through another set of bolt and nut 19. Number 22 is a horizontal roller bearing which is located in the rail 6 and it moves the hinge along the rail horizontally.
Figures 5 and 6 are respectively outside and inside view of a typical closet left- opening door.
Figures 7 and 8 are respectively the upper and lower movable hinges with the exact same components as explained above.
Figure 9 is the outside view of a double opening doors which are opened toward the the sides of the frame and the wheels located at the bottom of the doors are meant to ease and balance the movement of the doors. The key point is that the right opening door is installed on the left side of the frame and the left-opening door is installed on the right side of the frame. Upon opening, doors move toward the sides (lateral movements) so the whole frame is wide open rom every angel.
Figure 10 is the inside view of the above doors with all the same all components.

Claims

Claims
1. Independent Claim:
This device has five parts: (1) Upper-door hinge (2) Lower-door hinge (3) Upper rail (vertical) (4) Lower rail( horizontal ) (5) Ball-bearing.
2. Dependent Claim:
Upper-door hinge: This part is mounted on the upper part of the door and makes it possible for the door hung on the upper rail and the frame.
3. Dependent Claim:
Lower-door hinge: This part controls the horizontal movement of the door. It leads the door through the rail-path thereby letting it out of the frame.
4. Dependent Claim:
Upper rail (vertical): This is the rail where the upper hinge is mounted on by a ballbearing. The entire weight of the door rests on this rail and makes it possible for the upper hinge move along the rail.
5. Dependent Claim:
Lower rail ( horizontal ): This is the rail where the upper hinge is mounted on by a ballbearing and makes it possible for the lower hinge move along the rail.
6. Dependent Claim:
Ball-bearing: It keeps the door balanced during its movement, and it is mounted on the front lower part of the door. (see the figures 1)
