Abstract

Interchangeable choke tube for the constriction of shot pellets discharged from a smoothbore shotgun, the choke tube at its protruding front section (4) having a suitable number of cuts (8) beginning at its nozzle front end and extending towards the rear, dividing its nozzle into non-connected front part sections (9), which allow an elastic type expansion of its muzzle (7) during the passage of the shot charge. An improved uniform distribution of the shot pattern is obtained. It is also beneficial when using shot pellets of a material of limited deformability such as steel.
