Abstract

The invention relates to a functional unit (1) for a machining head, preferably for a laser machining head, comprising: a maintaining element (3) that can be secured to the machining head, and a coupling element (4) that can be moved with respect to the maintaining element (3). The coupling element (4) is designed in particular for detachably connecting to a functional element (5). The maintaining element (3) comprises a pressure chamber (13) that can be impinged upon by a fluid, a piston rod (14), which can be moveably guided linearly in a direction of movement (15) in the pressure chamber (13), is applied to the coupling element (4), the piston rod (14) comprises a hollow chamber (19) that is fluidically connected (20) to the pressure chamber (13) and at least one fluid channel (21) for guiding the fluid from the hollow chamber (19) of the piston rod (14) to a fluid outlet (28) of the coupling element (4) is formed in the coupling element (4). The invention also relates to a machining head comprising such a functional unit (1) and to a functional element (5) for said type of functional element (1).
