Abstract

This is a product pertaining to the field of motor vehicles. The present subject matter relates to a warning device for vehicles in general, which advises the user of the correct time to replace a catalytic converter prior to expiry of the latter's functioning period. Said device assists in the monitoring of vehicles in order to maintain a tolerable level of pollutant emissions from internal combustion engines, maintaining optimum functioning of the catalytic converter. Said device has an electronic warning system that drivers and the competent authorities will be able to use in order to identify irregularities, being aware of the precise time when the equipment needs replacing.
