The invention relates to a liquid storing and supplying tank with slanted bottom portion and drain valve for easy removal of sediments and contaminants settled on the base of tank. The invention provides bypass pipe from inlet to outlet for direct supply of liquid from source. BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION:
Tanks are used all around the world for storing liquids and supplying it to users. Water is the commonly used liquid for household an industrial purpose. Many liquids including water stored in tanks are not particularly contaminants free which tend to settle on the base of the tank over the period of time. Contaminants and sediments start scaling the base of the tank which contributes alteration of bottom surface due to leaching and in formation of algae. The contaminants and sediments mix with the liquid flowing out through the outlet as usually the outlet is placed near the bottom of the tank. In case of water tanks contaminants and sediments in the tank are mixed with fresh water, making it unhygienic for use. Such unhygienic water causes many diseases and health issues. Cholera, typhoid and diarrhoea are commonly spreading diseases from contaminated water. Leukaemia and reproductive problems are also caused due to drinking of contaminated water over long period of time.
Cleansing of tanks is high cost job, which needs to be done regularly after certain period of time. The opening of liquid tank is on top of the tank which makes cleaning a cumbersome job. Cleansing of tank requires multiple equipments for draining the cleansed sediments and contaminants. Many times the tank need to be turned upside down for removing the sediments and contaminants.
Further in case of water stored in overhead tank gets cold during winter and hot during summer. In winter season, as the water get cold the user has to heat it using water heater which is taxing and time consuming process. During summer when the water in overhead tank heats up the user has to adapt to the hot water for use. The present invention provides a liquid storing and supplying tank with slanted bottom portion and drain valve for easy removal of sediments and contaminants settled on the base of tank. The invention provides bypass pipe from inlet to outlet for direct supply of liquid from source. This is not only useful in water tanks but also applicable for other liquid storage tanks where part of the fresh liquid is needed for immediate consumption while the remaining need to be simultaneously stored in tank for later use.

BRIEF DISCRIPTION OF ACCOMPANYING DRAWINGS:
FIG 1 illustrates sectional view of the tank from the present invention.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF INVENTION:
The invention mainly provide a slant bottom portion and bypass pipe connecting inlet and outlet for supplying liquid directly from source.
In first aspect of the invention, tank has slanted bottom portion with drain valve positioned at lower end of the slant. The slant design of base and drain valve work synergistically in cleaning process of tank. Slanted bottom of the tank and drain valve make the cleaning easy. It is done simply by opening the drain valve. The slant shape directs the water towards the drain valve removing all the sediments and contaminants with it. The drainage valve exits liquid, dirt, sediments, sand and extraneous matter from bottom of the tank. Further, if needed the liquid can be simultaneously kept flowing into the tank for a while. The flow of liquid help in scrubbing all the sediments and contaminants settled on base of tank.
In the second aspect of the invention, bypass pipe is connected between the inlet and the outlet of the tank. The purpose of bypass pipe is to deliver the liquid directly, without routing it through tank, during feeding the inlet with liquid.
Alternatively, the part of the fresh liquid can be made available for immediate consumption while the remaining liquid is simultaneously stored in tank for later use. This type of arrangement is advantageous in the manufacturing plants where the recycled solvents and fresh solvents can be mixed and stored in same tank and also the fresh solvent can be supplied to the rector simultaneously while supplying it to the tank.
When used in water tanks, the invention offer another benefit. During winter when the overhead tank is to be filled with ground water using pump, it facilitates simultaneous availability of fresh and warm water at the outlet through the bypass pipe, as ground water is relatively warm in comparison to water stored in overhead tank. Similarly in summer, the cold ground water can be simultaneously obtained at the outlet through the bypass pipe while filling the tank with ground water.
The non-return valve get closed when the liquid is supplied from inlet to outlet via bypass pipe and is simultaneously drained out from the outlet for use. It cuts liquid supply from tank to outlet when liquid is supplied directly for use from the inlet to the outlet via bypass pipe. The supplied liquid from inlet has high pressure which closes non return valve and prevents the liquid from tank to flow into bypass pipe. Simultaneously it chokes the liquid from the bypass pipe to enter into the tank.
In one embodiment of the invention, the tank have ribbed cover over the sidewalls for strengthening side walls for bearing forces acting on walls of the tank and to provide sufficient strength to the tank from sides to hold the liquid. More preferably, the ribbed cover is made from a rigid material.
In another embodiment the slanted bottom portion is also provided with ribbed surface for strengthening the base of tank. More particularly it is ribbed to provide strength and support to its elevated portion.
In yet another embodiment, the bypass pipe mentioned in second aspect of the invention is placed or encapsulated in the ribbed cover of tank which protects bypass pipe from getting damaged and also helps in giving cleaner exterior aesthetics to the tank. Further, in another embodiment the outlet and the nonreturn valve are connected together with T-joint. The working and usage of the tank: The liquid is supplied from inlet which is channelled to the bypass pipe and to the tank. The liquid is first supplied to the bypass pipe which delivers it to the outlet. Outlet when open, make the liquid available for use. A non-return valve placed at the extended end of outlet chokes liquid from passing into the tank due to the force of liquid falling down from the bypass pipe.
When the outlet is closed the bypass pipe gets filled with liquid and then the entire liquid entering the inlet starts moving to the tank through the hollow pipe extending from inlet to the tank.
According to one embodiment of the present invention, the tank is water storage tank placed at height from the ground. The ground water can be supplied to this tank using a pump. The water supplied directly from the ground is warm in winter and this warm water can be simultaneously used in house, school, working place or any other place while filling tank. This helps in saving electricity, as the water is warm there is no need of heating the water supplied. The direct supply from ground is also pleasing during summer season as the water stored in overhead water tank is hot due to sun's radiations and ground water is comparatively cold. While various embodiments of the present invention have been described above, it should be understood that they have been presented by way of example only, and not limitation. It will be understood by those skilled in the relevant art that various changes in form and details may be made therein without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention.
