Said tunnel window 1 0 comprises a box-type body 1 1 , for example made of sheet metal, which provides an inner part with a straight channel shape for the deposit and passage of one or more products: for example, for the delivery of a product from an operator, located in a first environment, to a user, located in a second environment separated from the first environment. A specific example is using the tunnel window 1 0 between a kitchen and a dining room in a restaurant or similar.
Said box-type metallic body 1 1 has two opposing openings, one at the front and the other at the rear, and comprises:
- a first door 1 2 provided at said front opening, configured to oscillate, for example around a vertical axis, between an open or closed position of said front opening, and oscillated by a screw/nut mechanism controlled by means of electric gear motor means and having a display window, comprising a transparent electronic LCD panel screen 1 2.1 , constituting a monitor functionally connected to electronic processing and calculating means configured to control the selective display of images on said screen, and
- a second door 13 provided at said rear opening, configured to oscillate, for example around a vertical axis, between an open or closed position of said rear opening, and provided with manual means of opening and closing.
It will be noted that, alternatively, said first door 1 2 and said second door 13 are provided oscillating around respective horizontal axes. It will also be noted that said screw/nut mechanism and said electric gear motor means are already known and are therefore are not illustrated in detail.
According to the present invention, said electronic processing and calcu- lating means are configured to control said LCD panel screen 12.1 of said first door 1 2 so that said LCD panel screen 1 2.1 selectively assumes, at least when said first door 1 2 is closed, a state of:
- monitor darkened and not displaying images, wherein said LCD panel screen 1 2.1 does not show any image to the user and does not allow the user to observe said inner part of said box-type body 1 1 ,
- monitor darkened and showing images, wherein said LCD panel screen 12.1 shows the user at least one image, for example an advertisement, while it does not allow the user to observe said inner part of said box-type body 1 1 ,
- monitor displaying images and transparent, wherein said LCD panel screen 12.1 shows the user at least one image, for example of a product contained in said inner part of said box/type body 1 1 , while its transparency allows the user to observe said product contained in said inner part. It will be noted that the status of said LCD panel screen 1 2.1 as a dark- ened monitor not showing images corresponds to displaying a uniform non-transparent background color on the screen.
Furthermore, said LCD panel screen 1 2.1 is configured as a touch screen panel and displays a virtual alphanumeric keypad, or at least a graphic icon, functionally controlled by said electronic processing and calculating means, so that, by typing in a reserved code using said keypad, or by placing one of the user's fingers on a certain area of said LCD panel screen 1 2.1 where said at least one icon appears, the order to open said first door 1 2 is sent.
It will be noted that said tunnel window 1 0 comprises electric/electronic luminous indicating means placed near or connected to said second door 13 and functionally controlled by said processing and calculating means, so as selectively to assume a condition of emitting light radiation towards an operator positioned near said second door 1 3, or a condition of not emitting light radiation.
The afore-mentioned light emission performed by said electric/electronic luminous indicating means alert the operator to the fact that it is possible to open manually said second door 1 3.
Note that said tunnel window 1 0 comprises special hinges enabling said first door 1 2 and said second door 13 to be blocked in specific positions, normally perpendicular to the box-type body 1 1 , but if desired also with wider angles.
According to the present invention, said tunnel window 1 0 comprises an arrangement of external electronic-sensor safety means, functionally connected to said processing and calculating means and wherein:
- first external electronic-sensor presence detector means are configured to detect the presence, for example, of a part of a user's body at a predetermined distance from said first door 1 2, so as to allow the user to interfere with the closing movement of said first door 1 2 and to cause the stoppage of said electric gear motor means, if said first sensor means de- tect said presence;
- second external electronic-sensor contact detector means are configured to detect the contact of an object with said first door 1 2 when it is closing, and to cause the stoppage of said electric gear motor means, if said second sensor means detect said contact.
In particular, said arrangement of external electronic-sensor safety means is provided in the front part of said tunnel window 1 0 and comprises two electronic sensors 14.1 , 14.2, placed above said first door 12, and three electronic sensors 1 5.1 , 1 5.2, 1 5.3 placed to the side of said first door 1 2, in an upper 1 5.1 , intermediate 1 5.2 and lower 1 5.3 position respectively along one side of said first door 1 2. It will also be noted that said tunnel window 10 comprises:
- electronic timer means functionally connected, by means of said electronic processing and calculating means, to said electric gear motor means, and in which a pre-determined period of delay is set, within which said electronic processing and calculating means control the opening of said first door 12 by operating said electric gear motor means;
