Definitions
- the present invention relates to a dishwasher with improved drying efficiency.
- the dishes are dried by the drying step.
- the drying step is of utmost importance for the dishes to come out of the dishwasher shinier and cleaner.
- water droplets on the dishes are removed from the dishes by being evaporated.
- the evaporated water droplets condense by hitting cold surfaces and humid air, and are discharged from the washing cabinet.
- the drying step it is necessary to remove the water vapor rapidly from the washing cabinet or to discharge the vapor from the washing cabinet by condensing.
- the vapor discharged from the washing cabinet is considerably dense and hot. Therefore, discharging all of the vapor in the washing cabinet at once leads to condensing and collection of water in the outer environment and may damage the outer environment.
- WO 2014 180 648 discloses a dishwasher comprising a drying duct.
- the aim of the present invention is to realize a dishwasher with improved drying efficiency.
- the dishwasher realized to achieve the aim of the present invention and disclosed in the first claim and the dependent claims comprises a body, a washing tub provided on the body, in which items to be washed are placed, a fan enabling in the drying step the vapor in the washing tub to be sucked and discharged, and a drying duct through which the dense vapor sucked from the washing tub is transmitted.
- the dense vapor generated due to hot water used in washing process is removed from the washed items by means of the fan.
- the removal process of the dense vapor from the washing tub should be performed in a short time, without the vapor impacting the kitchenware.
- the washed kitchenware are thus enabled to be dried in a short time.
- One end of the drying duct opens out into the washing tub, and the other end to the outer environment. The vapor sucked from the washing tub is thus easily discharged.
- the dishwasher of the invention comprises a drying duct comprising openings enabling mixing the humid air sucked from the washing tub and the outer environment air.
- the ambient air sucked from the openings and the humid air sucked from the washing tub are discharged after being mixed in the drying duct.
- the dense vapor is prevented from damaging the kitchen surfaces by condensing in the outer environment.
- the dishwasher comprises an opening provided on the side surface of the drying duct. Sucking air from the outer environment is thus facilitated.
- the dishwasher comprises a drying duct having an inlet duct and an outlet duct.
- the inlet duct opens from the washing tub to the drying duct.
- the humid air sucked from within the washing tub enters the drying duct by means of the inlet duct.
- the air whose humidity is reduced by being circulated in the drying duct reaches the outer environment by leaving the drying duct by means of the outlet duct.
- the dishwasher comprises a fan disposed proximate to the outlet duct. Air can be sucked simultaneously from the washing tub and the outer environment by means of the fan. The air in the washing tub passes through the inlet duct and the outer environment air passes through the openings in order to reach the drying duct.
- the dishwasher comprises a drying duct having a plurality of air ducts.
- the air ducts extend into the drying duct via the opening, and may have varying angles depending on the size of the drying duct.
- the dishwasher comprises a plurality of guides provided at the surface in the drying duct, enabling the air entering the drying duct to be transmitted towards the outlet duct by being guided.
- the dishwasher comprises a protecting plate preventing the air condensing in the drying duct from reaching the fan.
- the condensing air is prevented from damaging the fan by means of the protecting plate.
- the dishwasher comprises a drainage channel provided at the proximity of the protecting plate, on the side wall of the drying duct.
- the water droplets collecting on the protecting plate by condensing are discharged from the drying duct by means of the drainage channel.
- Figure 1 is a perspective view of the dishwasher.
- Figure 2 is a view of the drying duct on the dishwasher.
- Figure 3 is a perspective view of the drying duct.
- Figure 4 is a view of the guide on the drying duct.
- the dishwasher (1) comprises a body (2), a washing tub (3) in which washing process is performed, a fan (4) enabling during drying process, the humid air in the washing tub (3) to be sucked and discharged from the washing tub (3), and a drying duct (5) provided between the washing tub (3) and the body (2), enabling the humid air sucked from the washing tub (3) to be condensed, whose one end opens out into the washing tub (3) and the other end to the outer environment.
- the dense and humid vapor formed in the washing tub (3) after washing process is enabled to be sucked by means of the fan (4). Condensation occurs when the dense and humid vapor contacts the washed kitchenware. Removal of the vapor from the washing tub (3) before condensation process takes place, improves the drying performance.
- the humid vapor sucked from the washing tub (3) passes through the drying duct (5), and is discharged to the outer environment.
- the dishwasher (1) of the invention comprises a drying duct (5) having at least one opening (6) enabling mixing the humid air sucked from the washing tub (3) and the outer environment air.
- the humid air entering the drying duct (5) mixes with the outer environment air thanks to openings (6) provided on the drying duct (5) and is then discharged to the outer environment.
- the surfaces where the humid air is discharged to the outer environment, are thus prevented from being damaged.
- the dishwasher (1) comprises an opening (6) provided on the side wall (Y) of the drying duct (5), opening from the outer environment to the drying duct (5) and enabling the outer environment air to reach into the drying duct (5).
- Dishwashers are usually placed in the kitchens so as to have their rear side enclosed or abutted to a wall.
- the openings (6) may be ducts with varying shapes, or point openings (6), disposed on the side wall with certain spaces in between.
- the dishwasher (1) comprises a drying duct (5) comprising an inlet duct (7) enabling the humid air in the washing tub (3) to enter the drying duct (5), and an outlet duct (8) enabling the air circulating in the drying duct (5) to be discharged to the outer environment.
- the humid air sucked from the washing tub (3) by means of the fan (4) enters the drying duct (5) by means of the inlet duct (7).
- the air whose humidity is reduced by being circulated in the drying duct (5) leaves the drying duct (5) by means of the outlet duct (8).
- the dishwasher (1) comprises a fan (4) disposed proximate to the outlet duct (8), enabling sucking simultaneously the air in the washing tub (3) by means of the inlet duct (7), and the air from the outer environment by means of the opening (6), and discharging it through the outlet duct (8) to the outer environment.
- the fan (4) is disposed in the proximity of the outlet duct (8).
- the dishwasher (1) comprises a drying duct (5) having a plurality of air ducts (9) extending in various angles via the opening (6) towards the drying duct (5).
- the air ducts (9) extend tunnel-like towards into the drying duct (5) through the opening (6).
- The may have varying cross-sections.
- Outer environment air passes through the air ducts (9). Therefore, a surface is formed which is colder than the air sucked from the washing tub (3) into the drying duct (5).
- the humid air colliding the colder surface condenses in a short time, thereby reducing the drying duration.
- the dishwasher (1) comprises air ducts (9) having inclined surfaces.
- the air ducts (9) being inclined towards the outlet duct (8), the water droplets forming on the air duct (9) by condensation of vapor, is enabled to advance towards the outlet duct (8).
- the dishwasher (1) comprises a plurality of guides (10) with various angles, provided in the drying duct (5), enabling the air entering the drying duct (5) to be guided.
- the guides (10) By means of the guides (10), the air in the drying duct (5), and the water droplets forming by condensation of air, advance towards the outlet duct (8).
- the guides (10) are provided on the surface. The air circulation in the drying duct (5) is not blocked thanks to the surfaces of the guides (10) being very close to the surface of the air duct (9). ( Figure 4)
- the dishwasher (1) comprises a protecting plate (11) provided proximate to the outlet duct (8) in the drying duct (5), preventing the water condensing in the drying duct (5) from reaching the fan (4).
- the water droplets forming by condensation of air in the drying duct (5) and advancing towards the outlet duct (8), are enabled to be collected on the protecting plate (11). By this hazards are prevented, likely to occur due to the fan (4) contacting liquid.
