Definitions

  • the present invention relates to the field of automated payment for services, mainly transport services, implemented using public computer networks, and more specifically, to a method of payment for services, mainly transport services and an automated system for its implementation.
  • Paying for services using bank cards does not solve the indicated problem, as it has a number of restrictions, namely: only part of the population is covered by bank cards, receiving a bank card requires contacting the bank and opening an account, which leads to the expenditure of time and effort of the user, and the payment time from using a bank card does not meet the requirements of automated fare payment systems in connection with the length of a decision to provide a service.
  • a known method and an automated system for paying for transport services interacting with the clearing and settlement network of a bank payment system and associated with at least one public transport network (one service provider) (US 20130030883 A1).
  • an attempt is made to reduce the time it takes to make a decision when paying for transport services using a bank card.
  • This method of non-cash payment of transport services using the technology of the bank payment system involves the introduction of a bank card in a bank terminal where they read the bank card number (identifier) and other data, for example, the cost of the service.
  • the banking terminal transmits the specified data via an electric line (traditionally a telephone line) to the seller’s acquirer (also called an acquiring bank).
  • the acquirer is connected to clearing and settlement networks, through which the operation is checked with respect to the reliability and availability of funds on a bank card, that is, the available balance for paying for services.
  • the clearing and settlement network through the acquiring bank returns to the banking terminal the official permission of the operation or prohibition of the operation.
  • this method includes the manufacture at a particular place of bank cards belonging to a particular bank, the decision to provide services in a banking terminal based on a list of bank card identifiers to which services are available; use as a bank card identifier a card number (PAN (Primary Account Number)) or a value calculated by a special algorithm based on the bank card number; formation in the processing system of a list of identifiers to which services are available and mailing of this list to bank terminals.
  • PAN Primary Account Number
  • An automated system for paying for transport services, interacting with the clearing and settlement network of a bank payment system and associated with at least one public transport network contains a processing system, many banking terminals located at a number of points of service start and / or end, many bank cards made in a specific place for a particular bank (bank cards).
  • Each bank card contains an identifier made in a machine-readable format according to a single standard interaction protocol, for example, radio frequency identification (RFID) ISO / IEC 14443.
  • RFID radio frequency identification
  • the processing system is configured to generate a list of identifiers to which specific transport services are available; with the ability to interact with the banking terminal through a wired connection or wireless connection; with the ability to interact with the clearing and settlement network of the banking payment system.
  • Each bank terminal is made with the possibility of making a decision on the provision or prohibition of the provision of transport services to the user based on the list of bank card identifiers.
  • This method and system is not associated with consumers and service providers, since a specific bank producing this card is associated with consumers, and the supplier is associated with an acquiring bank that processes the transactions of the service provider. This increases the cost of this method and system of payment for services and increases the time of the provision of services. Moreover, this method limits the number of users of the system, since only part of the population using transport services is covered by bank cards. In addition, this method does not allow the use of detectable objects other than bank cards to pay for services. It increases the cost of the system as a result of the need to use additional bank terminals or to replace existing detectors with more expensive ones that meet the requirements of bank card standards. Obtaining a bank card requires contacting the bank and opening an account, which leads to the expenditure of time and effort of the user. At the same time, the time to pay for services using a bank card significantly exceeds the allowable time to pay for travel in accordance with the requirements of well-known automated systems.
